I saw Sammy live four times. I was the lucky one. I cried so the day he died. He was truly the best showman that ever lived and I miss his voice so. Rest in Peace Sam...I love you!

Yes! Mr. Davis was a singer, actor, dancer. He's my favorite performer that ever lived. Get this... he was also an excellent photographer and a chef. Truly the most talented performer that ever graced the planet.

    SAMMY DAVIS JUNIOR!
Sammy was known as "The World's Greatest Entertainer." I totally agree! Frank Sinatra, who I love, could sing fabulously and act. But when it came to entertaining Sammy Davis Junior was the best ! He sang, he danced, he acted in Broadway shows, he did impersonations. He was amazing and is missed by people worldwide! May God bless Sammy Davis Junior!

I am in tears! Ol Man River is a song that is very familiar to me. I sing it often. It takes a master to make a familiar song so unique. as if it's never been performed before, and will never be performed again. No one has done it like Sammy. not before, not now, and never again.

The greatest performer that ever lived. Hilight of my life is seeing him live once.

He was that. I was lucky enough to see him live 15 times; twice in London at the Palladium, and the other times at Caesar's in Lake Tahoe. He could electrify the entire room with a snap of his fingers.

Lol, I'm a dancer that loves "choreography" yet that didnt offend me at all. He was one of the fathers of showbiz, and I so look up to him. What an inspiration.

He had moer talent in his pinky fingernail than most people can dream of. I remember when I was kid my Parents liked Sammy, Sinatra, Dean Martin etc. This type of music started to connect with me some time in my mid twenties. This stuff is timeless and God bless youtube for making it available for upcoming generations, and God bless Sammy Davis Jr. for his contribution to the arts and humanity.

Sammy Davis Jr truly is the most versatile entertainer and one of the most talented.
It was my love for Michael Jackson (another one of the greats) that introduced me to Sammy Davis Jr... They loved each other and I love them both.
Sammy Davis Jr was the template for the consummate performer! I long for this kind of talent in our day and age. It is truly soooo rare!

He really was a huge entertainer. I love his tap dance. I remember I wanted to learn how to tap Dance, and Flamenco Castanets, and I couldn't because my mom was not affiliated to the communist party, the ONLY party in Cuba,
The "socialist party of Fidel Castro. I remember my girlfriends in the 3rd floor in the building did, and were trying to teach me and even let me practice with her castanets, but with time and the division of political issues, our parents, we grew apart. Then I came to Cuba. Mom why didn't you at least did volunteer ? I asked myself., then I understood.
I always loved Tap dance !!! I just read about the roots of it and thanks the encyclopedia, I learn something today.

Its one thing to 'do it all' well enough to be cast, or well enough not to embarrass yourself when its called for. Its another to do it all WELL. He did it all WELL. As a singer or a dancer, he was exceptional. This is not just talent. Can you imagine the hours of practice and time it takes to keep your voice sharp, learn new songs, keep your steps agile and learn the routines, your comic timing down learn your lines, and your impressions fresh? Each discipline requires hours upon hours of constant work to stay at the top of your game. There are only 24 hours in a day.
