I awoke in a boat with a gentleman and a lady discussing rowing. I had a sinking feeling unrelated to the boat filling with water that they were actually talking about something other than rowing, but I couldn’t prove it. They left, I stood in the rain for a while to see if they would ever fully disappear from view, they didn’t, and I entered the lighthouse. Inside I found someone who had quite clearly [bonk]ed themselves and rang a few bells. For a second I thought someone somewhere had activated the failsafe, then I took a seat on my cushioned chariot and ascended into the sky.
I took my time wandering around the church I arrived in, thinking for a while about what a pain in the ass it must be to keep all these candles lit, went down some stairs, and found more candles. The good news is that I can actually put a few of them out. The fewer fire hazards, the better. Before I could get into the city proper, I had to get baptized. I did try to skirt my way around the priest but I couldn’t. The thing that really shocked me about this scene is that it seemed like the water barely went up to the priests ankles. Unless I’ve got a head like a pancake, I don’t see how I could’ve almost been drowned in this water.
During my blackout, I got a glimpse at a city being destroyed, woke up for the 2nd time in the last 16 minutes, and was finally in Columbia. This bird looks like [bad], by the way. This game, even though I am playing it as a part of the Bioshock Collection, still looks great. While some games from 2013 have aged like a block of cheese sealed in a mason jar, this game is not one of them.
I pressed onward deeper into the city, saw a pretty electric pony, got a quick Columbia history lesson, saw another hummingbird that seemed enamored by the music, which made this entire city feel like one of those wholesome Disney cartoons from the early 40s. You know, the ones that were shockingly racist.
I’m gonna skip through a lot of this early game stuff because it’s just walking, looking, and listening for a while. The key takeaways are demonic jugglers, the Handyman, my first Vigor, a sneak peak of my future weapon, the False Shepherd badge of honor, and the raffle itself in which really felt like home in that I was the only one there who seemed to not be racist.
After things took a dark turn… uh…. yeah that’s okay I can say that, I shoved someone’s face into a police officer’s weapon, supposedly, I think we can all agree that he did that to himself, he should’ve complied with my commands, and I finally got my first weapon. With this being the introductory combat portion of the game, the Officers sent to [bonk] me aren’t at all difficult to [bonk]. More combat later, I got my hands on a gun that I can’t use. The annoying part about the Skyhook is that Booker DeWitt is a miracle of modern science in that he can have a firearm in one hand, a Vigor active in the other, and the Skyhook in the 2nd. If you’re thinking that the math makes no sense, I agree’d with you.

My only analysis of these videos would be how much writing value every sentence has. Every double entendre, straight up nonchalant bullshittery and crafty use of language is so obviously meticulously written for genuine laughs. Bravo!

If you get the leggings that extend your lunge range by 3x, you're able to hit the mosquitoes out of the sky. Just finished my melee only run with Electric Touch (i dont have punch), Coat of Harms (for the memes), Deadly Lungers ( the 3x melee range pants), and Vampires Embrace (for the heals). Easiest place to farm for DL or VE is the two equipment boxes you have access to if you save the couple in the beginning.

Yup, Vampire's Embrace was crucial for the Melee-Only 1999 Mode run I did for my channel.

@@xen9221 but it's not really a feat beating the game in this manner. Basically anyone could do it if they set their mind to it. Keeping it on hard would be much more challenging and entertaining.

Damn, could have used the charge vigor in a few instances, it basically teleports you into unreachable enemies, and you don't die from falling off the map. It may be a vigor but the attack is done with a skyhook so it'd count in my book at least.

Start with 10 strength, 6 intelligence, and put the rest into endurance. Wander around, find the fusion core under red rocket truck stop, Parkour onto the church and get into power armour and youre set. You go into the museum of freedom to get a second fusion core.

I tested this game for a few months close to the release. Most of the bugs we would find would be waived to be fixed later or not at all. The testing got pretty boring since we couldn't really file any more bugs, so we started doing challenge runs of the game similar to this ^ But my favourite run was the Only Run Backwards Run. Best challenge of them all

Bioshock Infinite but Booker has some kind of weird disease where he has to empty any bullets he gets instantly into a wall and the skyhook and gun are both permanently fused to both of his hands....and an intense urge to punch everyone in sight to death that he can. (Wheeze)

Technically, you can beat Bioshock Infinite with the skyhook because possession turns the enemy to your side and not under your control. So when they kill something its them killing something and not you killing them.

Anyway, not sure how long you had your dog for but we had to put my family basset hound to sleep when she got super old. Was pretty horrible for everyone. One thing i discovered about the melee stunning gear is that if you try "punching" the pool of water with the gear on, it will make a trap just as you would if you shock the water with shock jockey. Though considering it has a 70% chance of triggering, it would probably be more efficient if you straight up punch them. But hey, the trap insta-kills the enemy.

First time I played through I put them all into shield and melee'd the shit out of 95% of enemies including bosses just because the sound of punching with the hook is amazing lmao

As an extra thing, you can actually destroy the Zeppelins at the final battle with the sky-hook. You need to go inside and find the engine-looking-thing. Then a short cutscene starts in which you smack it with the hook and the zeppelin drops a few seconds later. You need to get out as well though.

The reason why slate didn’t die was because unless you pick the prompt to kill him with the pistol, he’s considered to remain alive, even if you kill him with the skyhook shortly thereafter.

There's a piece of gear that effectively triples the melee range of the skyhook. I've been using that plus the fire damage and stagger gear on 1999 mode and I probably use it more that ranged weapons since it's so op.

really easy if you grab the chineese stealth suit from operation anchorage first. the hardest part is not getting hit before you can retrieve your gear.
This games a lot darker than I remember I don’t remember the scalped heads playing this back around 2013

The Drill is easy, I’ve done it before, but the plasmids! I haven’t done it before
Plasmids only is hard, if you go for the best ending. Drill only is stupidly easy. I mean it, I did it myself for the best ending with almost 1000 adam left over. Also, fountain of youth is OP in the right moments. (Bioshock 2)

You can beat this challenge. When I tried it I got a piece of clothing that gives times 3 to the skyhook range. That means all the trouble he had with range can be nullified. You just have to get lucky.
Just for anyone wondering, if you use Bullrush gear, you can get the achievement for killing an enemy whilst falling. Melee them and run up and melee them again and keep doing it until they're dead. It's classed as falling. I found this out when trophy collecting on my 3rd playtrhough

not too difficult as most drugs are so common that you can just keep taking them whenever they wear off. also their are plenty of times when walking around with addiction penalties doesn't really mater.

Think timeline A he took part in wounded knee, two paths branch out and interlink, like a double helix, always intersecting at points.
Timeline B he didnt tale part in it and so never fell into his depression or got baptised and became comstock.
Dying at the river, where timeline A fractured moved booker to timeline B where he never took part, he never went to the river and never ended up in a position of selling anna.
