    This car is more than worth the money. Especially right now in 2024. Model Y’s have never been cheaper. Elon has slashed prices by about 20k and the model Y still qualifies for tax rebate. Throw on no maintenance other than tires, no filling up with gas. It’s impossible to beat the value for the current price. No brainer buying this car right now.

      Hey Marcus, thanks for watching! I have heard that quite a bit, but for me in my experience with previous vehicles, I personally don’t find it any more stiff or uncomfortable. But again that’s just my experience, and I know that as a common complaint amongst owners.

    Potential buyers need to be aware that the front and rear tires are different sizes. Also, a new set of tires will cost roughly $2500. It’s the price you pay for driving a 3.5 seconds 0-60 performance vehicle.

      I’m on the FSD Beta track and it has been amazing on the highway. I just finished a vacation across Washington state and it was fantastic on the interstate even with dense traffic. For merging I think the inkling thing I’d whine about is that it waits to the end of the merge lane to actually merge instead of taking advantage of a gap before.

    I keep seeing people comparing the luxury of a benz GLE or RX or X5. In same brands compare their electric version like a EQB. They are 30k more than non electric vehicles. So You have to add 20-30k for an EV. You can only compare luxury of a 30-40k car.

    I agree with your opinion on the price to value vs other vehicles. I'm not sure the value is there. I don't care about minimalism in a car, as the Tesla has everything you "need"...but the price tag is out of control right now.

    • @Chuckydeez831

    Honda piolet black edition, $53,000 payments after mark up $850-$900,
    Plus gas $300-$400 month = $1,150 moth not including services like oil change etc.
    Tesla performance is $70,000 payments a month $1,100-$1,150 no service
    $0-$80 month charging,
    Your spending the exact amount a month but Tesla $70,000- $75,000 value and doesn’t depreciate
    Honda piolet value $53,000 loses $6,000 instantly as you drive off and all that lost money going to the gas stations instead of going towards the value of the car

    • @nowteslafy
      @nowteslafy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Humberto, thanks for watching! Yes, I’m sure you could probably do some math to make it similar in comparison ( although I think you were quite a bit high on the gas end of things, at least for my driving habits). And I’m also not considering monthly payments, interest rates, etc. my main point was there are certainly other options that may or may not appeal to everyone but it’s something to consider. I definitely love my tesla, and wouldn’t trade it for any of those as mentioned in my video but again, I thought it was worth bringing up. Thanks again for watching!

    Does having a glass roof get very hot inside the car?

    • @nowteslafy
      @nowteslafy  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Mick! Thanks for the question. I live in Central WA state, and the hottest it’s gotten in summer outside since I’ve had it is 114 F. I think the best answer I can give you is that I haven’t been uncomfortable or even noticed it was any hotter than any other car.
      I think this is due to 2 things- 1 I find the climate control works very well and even has an automatic “cabin overheat protection” setting so while parked it will never go above 110 inside the cabin. And I almost always turn on the AC from my phone when I know I’m headed back out to the car.
      2- the glass is treated and helps keep it cooler. And perhaps my white interior may also help.
      Hope that answers your question!

    I only have a model 3 LR but the wife’s would like this model Y P, I am worried about the big wheels and 35mm tires as previous experiences with a Mercedes c class and 35mm tyres is that I expend my life watching the road for potholes as had a few tyre blowouts and many cracked wheels being welded, not ideal but needs must. And also the paint, I acquired quite a few chips and some road rash so shelled out £1500 on a ceramic coating and bonnet and front number PPF but find you have to be careful when washing the car now. Small price to pay for the protection I suppose. Anyway the Y Performance is an awesome looking car especially when the Interior is black also. Great Vid and we’ll explained thanks

      Thanks so much for watching Tony!
      I totally get it. Luckily I had a 240 in my garage, so it was just a matter of wire to where I wanted the charger. It also doesn’t help that copper is so expensive.
      Now that said, I recommend checking the app PlugShare - it may work for you real nice if you have a free charger near where you work. Then charge for free during the day and use your standard 120 plug at home over night.
      I know some folks to rely exclusively on Superchargers too… still cheaper than gas.

      @doremeow2348 when did you buy it? Huge price drop spring of this year. MYP fully loaded white interior etc 58K out the door.

      FSD is $15k alone… fully loaded out the door for my exact config is $73,120
      Add FSD, Black, White Interior, tow hitch and mobile connector.
      It does qualify for the tax credit… if a credit even makes sense for you.
      I have no regrets.

    additional ugly: the car lost 18k in value in matter of weeks. Just got mine, paid less than 62k including sales tax and all other fees.

      I’ve had mine for nearly 2 years now. I don’t care that much about depreciation.

    Is there something worse than ugly,,,$65K in depreciation. Probably highest ever recorded depreciation in consumer level cars. Making record in everything...Tesla.
    I know few of my friends bought model Y for $89K in 2022 because that's what they could get. Tesla was selling only fully loaded, highest version and with mandatory 15K FSD.
    Now same model Y is selling for 25K pre-owned. It's like loosing 64K in just 2 years. Those people must be kicking themselves right now.
    I swallowed my ego and bought BOLT EUV instead for 26K. It too went down in price and sells for $17K now. But not as bad as Tesla cars.

      Thanks for watching! I think your numbers are significantly off, but it doesn’t matter, this is the best car I’ve ever owned in every way. I hope you enjoy your Bolt!
