As a 3d rendering artist, i must say monster house was a true marvel in the industry. It takes a low budget and probably rushed development and makes a perfect animation using many tricks and work arounds. For example look at the hair, they clearly didn't have the tech to do a strand simulation so they used a static mesh with a baked a.o. (ambient occlusion) texture to mimick shadows and volume. It's just pure perfection !
Jordan Wheeler my hardware(laptop) is not powerful so i can't do very much animations. But i mainly just study the art and make still renders but i try and gain more information through practice than just learning.
Dunno what yer talkin about, the animation and style of the film looks a lot better than the hot mess Foodfight was. Not even comparable. Scary Godmother would be a better equivalent visually.
Ah, yes I remember watching this at the age of 5 and being terrified... I also remember playing the game on PS2 a few years later, one of my favorites on that console.

Also in the original concept Chris Rock cop was supposed to be head cop while Paul Blart 0.1 was the rookie cop. And this has also had me enjoy this piece of art.
jamie fernekees
That was nick cannon not Chris Rock
Was this jawn even in theaters lmao
Reptilian Commander yeah it was, I remember seeing it the weekend it was released
It’s nick cannon

you forgot the scariest part of the movie... WHEN HE LANDS ON THE NOSE OF CONSTANCE AND HER SKELETON APPEARS
Who else is feeling nostalgia really quick.
This movie scared the crap out of me when I was little
It still does for me. Never watching it again.
Ah, I remember this classic. I felt bad for the old man's story.
i remember when i would fall asleep during the movie and it would go back to the title screen of the dvd i would wake up so uneasy feeling because of the eerie music and i would get scared but i fucking love that movie so much
Omfg literally same 😲😲😲😲
Can you imagine a live action adaptation.
Yes that would be epic…if only they don’t ruin it
As a 3d rendering artist, i must say monster house was a true marvel in the industry. It's just pure perfection !
cejay the great and awesome, do you make shows or movies or are you still learning how to make 3d animation?
Jordan Wheeler my hardware(laptop) is not powerful so i can't do very much animations.
But i mainly just study the art and make still renders but i try and gain more information through practice than just learning.
I love this damn movie.
Dunno what yer talkin about, the animation and style of the film looks a lot better than the hot mess Foodfight was. Not even comparable. Scary Godmother would be a better equivalent visually.
Crapolice Draws I like Scary Godmother. The animation was a bit weird, but I enjoyed the characters.
I can't believe I still remember so much of this movie because I watched it when I was 3
bro u forgot the best part, at the pizza place. That guy was my hero
I remember every scene with that guy and my favorite is the part where he stuffs his face with junk food
Ethan Chouinard yasss my favourite part!!!
honestly, i wish there were more people like him
Funniest part is when he runs off then quickly turns around, grabs his snack, gobbles it down and then runs off again.
Chowder looks like he lives in neighbouring Lazy Town
Chick Norton ye he looks like ziggy
THANK YOU god i was thinking so hard trying to remember who he looked like and it was freaking Ziggy
He look like timmy thick
😂😂😂 NOT THE ONLY ONE
Chick Norton yep he also looks like my cousin
It's a cool movie. And yes although the story is simple and there's not much depth, it was still solid for some reason. Thanks for making this 🤘
Lie Likes Music what is this, a crossover episode?
Lie Likes Music didn't expect to find you here. Lol
Lie Likes Music That’s because it was written by Dan Harmon of community and Rick and Morty fame
I follow a lot of video essayists here on TH-cam too 😊

I wasn’t scared either, Happy Feet is scarier.
Fun fact: my mother had to remove me from the theater while watching Monster House because I was screaming and crying so much. It still remains the only movie I refuse to watch.
It's really not that bad .
@@awaken_the_dreamers_8475 depends on how old you are and how much you can handle I also could finish the movie but I was like 5 maybe?

*tHat'S RiGhT*
Yes I strongly remember this movie. It was a great horror movie for a child as a child. As an adult I appreciate it and its story even more. Love it!
This movie felt very Spielbergian, and for that I love it.
One of the studios that made this was Amblin, so that could be why.
Xmus Jaxon Spielberg also produced the film
Monster House had such a distinct style of animation. I haven't seen it since I was really young, and still today I can pick out which characters are from Monster House, even if I don't remember them.
Alexis Ford coraline reminds me if this film
Favourite childhood movie.
Lol what a terrible taste 😂
Bloody Munchkin
Sharkboy and Lavagirl
yeah you must of had a shitty childhood if that was your favourite movie
I allways watched this with my bestfriend :)
Elver Galarga people have different opinions
the way they moved the unique animation the relatable ness and how i could watch it again today and tomorrow and still laugh the backstory. this whole movie is just the perfect like it could never be remade or anything
