I had my fair share of annoyances trying to get it to spawn for this video too. The trick is to face away from where it spawns-at 3am, I stood in front of the Lemoyne sign and faced away, and it spawned instantly! You need to trick the game into thinking you don't want it, I guess. 🤷🏼♂️
@@RealPixels Same applies to hunting certain animals. They're never around when you want them, then when you stop looking, it feels like they're everywhere.
It was Agnes Dowed’s ghost in the swamps for me. I never knew about her until I learned about her from the internet. Apparently, the ghost train only spawns once per playthrough, so make sure you don’t get distracted when you see it. Especially if you plan to grab a screenshot. I was lucky the first time I saw it, as I didn’t know about it and sure as hell wasn’t expecting it. I didn’t have my wits about me enough to snap it though. It did make me wonder if anyone could answer this question, though? What reaction, if any, do you get from pursuers if you were to ride into it while they chased you? I’d like to think it would spook their horses and throw panicking riders, but the odds of having both things happen at once seem slim to me?

The name yankees comes from the Dutch names Jan and Kees, which, that is Jan-Kees, was the English name for the Dutch settlers in New York, as far as I can remember.

Fun Fact: Yankee probably comes from how the English referred to their newly conquered Dutch colonists. It's not uncommon for the Dutch to combine two names as one, mostly combined with the common name of 'Jan', such as Geertjan, Pieter-Jan, Henk-Jan, or a very common one, Jan-Kees, of which probably the word Yankees originates from.
Getting Agnes Dowd to appear can be difficult. You have to be riding through Bluewater Marsh after dark and it has to be foggy. On clear nights she will not appear. But then you also take the chance of running into The Night Folk.

It took me ages too! I eventually got it to spawn by standing in front of the Lemoyne sign and looking away (i.e., the train spawns behind you) at 3am. Got it multiple times using that method.
"Yankee" has different meanings depending where you are. I'm from the midwestern US, and I don't consider myself a Yankee. I'd consider anybody in the Northeastern states a Yankee. And I'm sure people in those states have an even more specific definition. Basically, it's usually used to refer to somebody else (it isn't usually a self-imposed title), and people keep pointing to more and more specific places the closer you get.
Northerners are absolutely, 100% still called "Yankees" in YOOL 2024 southern america. (never "Yanks", thats a europe thing) He phrased it like that was anachronistic.
Good stuff, and well made, but consider varying inflection in your narration. It can be grating to hear the same style of inflection at the end of every sentence.
Um . . . Speaking of, “bizarre,” how about your title’s question? How historically accurate is a not-real thing? . . . 🤔. Some honest constructive criticism here: That didn’t stop this from being an awesome video, filled with fascinating facts and managing to tick the three BBC boxes, “Educate, Entertain and Inform,” brilliantly researched and mining yet more gold from the Rockstar game that changed us all. And showing us all how brilliantly researched the writing and art design of Red Dead really is, by exploring the real history which provides the foundation for the story, sub-plots and side characters that so enrich the experience. But, I almost didn’t even bother with this video because of its nonsensical title, which I took to be badly thought out click bait, not knowing your channel well enough to know better. I would give more thought to your titles if I were you. Your content is too good to allow such titles to sabotage it, in my opinion.
@@Flex-cx7uj : Did you read my whole comment? This title reads like one he, or someone like him, would use. I have filtered such, “creators,” out of my viewing, but doing so has attuned me to the types of titles that automatically set off warning bells in my head. When I saw this I passed on by, then saw it a second time and figured, as I didn’t know the creator’s name, I’d give it 30 seconds. I stayed for the whole video and loved it. In fact, I’d say it was a better quality video than many of the ones I’m subscribed to. So I subscribed. But I stand by my criticism. The title for this one is poorly phrased at best. And this video will have been ignored by a lot of Red Dead fans, burned out on content thieves and low effort click bait manufacturers, that I guarantee.
