This is honestly pretty crazy to me. Marvel has unfettered access to over 80 YEARS worth of stories, many of which were penned by award-winning writers. Planet Hulk, Annihilation, Siege, and Fear Itself are just a few of the fairly RECENT ones I can think of that were absolute bangers (I'd mention House of M and Avengers vs. X-Men, but Marvel hasn't done anything with mutants just yet). Loki has a lot less CGI. I wonder if the amount of CGI they use in films now has anything to do with the quality. I know there is a big problem in film making now where they just gloss over major flaws and say, 'they can fix it in post-production.' With Loki, the CGI was not really a big enough part of the show to act as a crutch for them. Also, it was clearly much more of a passion project given how many references, easter eggs, and nerd shit has been packed into it.

I also remember them advertising Nick Fury and not the titular character on Twitter back when the ticket sales already seemed to be a lie (common claims of empty theatres and unfavorable general audience reviews) and then they tried advertising it again for streaming. Even Brie Larson seemed sarcastic about the future of her character in some interview I saw a clip of a while back. It’s hard to say Disney wouldn’t care about yet another major financial and brand health loss but you really gotta wonder what the oversight on all this looks like in just wanting a decent movie released.

Everything about Loki shows that the MCU has come up with an actually good show but people refuse to believe it. I don't know if this is because of the reputation modern MCU has built around itself but, Loki is definitely one of the top 3 superhero shows I've watched only behind daredevil and the punisher.

Post endgame they should have launched into the villains saga. With the loss of the avengers there's a power vacuum and we should follow some of the greatest villains rise to fill it. A mafia/ godfather type of film showing kingpins climb back to the top in new York would have been amazing post endgame and show how city life adapted and continued without the avengers. Kingpin could have led into hawkeye and our introduction to Kate Bishop and the early concept of a new avengers team In the future. Doctor strange multiverse of madness should have been R rated and focused on wanda the darkhold and hell introducing mephisto and setting up characters that rely on him like Dr doom or ghost rider in the future. A character piece film following Dr dooms birth in latvaria his mother's basis in magic and her being taken by mephisto leading to him moving to new York and his study of science and technology to save his mother only for it to fail and leave him horrifically scarred leading him to adopt his moniker of Dr doom and vowing to master both magic and science to get his vengeance on mephisto. Ms marvel should be the light hearted Street level film to help ground audiences and introduces us to our second member of a potential new avengers. I'm bored of writing but you get the idea they needed to rebuild from the ground up.

Finally, a fan responds with more than just “weh dis aux deuxdeux buddah nau deux bedduhbweh”.
Thing is, Sony is already failing at the bad guy route with Morbius and Venom. Also, Feige was going antihero in order to introduce Thunderbolts.
Frankly, the only bright spot to look forward to is seeing Harrison Ford turn into Red Hulk.

I think what happened with the MCU is that it got so big that the budget on every movie increased exponentially in the corporate suits made them play every movie as safe as possible to have as little risk of losing money as possible.

They also specifically hired women, young writers, an TV directors to make their massive multi-million dollar movies.
      - Women, who are absolutely capable of doing great work, but society is so focused on "making things right" women are now being forced into positions they are not trained and ready for. Specifically because of their vaginas. This is getting female writers and directors onto projects they are not ready for, as they are coming off of Indie Films or Mid-Budget films and are given HUNDREDS of MILLIONS of dollars to operate a star-studded crew. Disney does this because it is literally still cheaper to hire women instead of men, not because they are being "diverse".
      - TV Directors are also a massive problem. Of the men that Disney and Marvel hire now, they go for TV directors with a few series in their credits. Ant Man: Quantumania was written by a man who has done: 6 Episodes of Rick and Morty, 7 Episode of Miracle Workers, and 238 Episodes of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" that has other writers. Then they gave him Ant Man. TV Directors are easy to manipulate because this is "their big break", and are cheaper to hire.
      - Young Writers are desperate, and are extremely easy to manipulate. They have no respect from anyone in the industry, so nobody will defend them. They are bright-eyed and motivated by passion, which means you can absolutely pay them less because they are "just happy to be here, part of the MCU they grew up with". They are also a penny a dozen, let alone a dime.

I think a large part of it is that they're simply too scared or afraid of pitting Cap Marvel against any strong foe that could actually beat her. From her first solo movie to now, her main antagonists only survive until the end based on plot relevance. I think they're just to afraid to show us, the audience, her getting beaten up and that ppl may come after them for showing one of their few female protagonist as anything other than "the absolute strongest at any given time or situation" like even Thor gets his ass kicked in all his movies to build tension and give a payoff when he finally defeats them at the end. But Nah, Cap Marvel is simply too strong to ever really be challenged, apparently.

One of the worst things to happen to the MCU in retrospect is the avengers movies having good comedic timings. We praised them at the time for being great at transitioning between the quips into high octane high tension moments. The quips between characters was an addition to them not the focus, but over time without the guidance of the directors who knew and understood how to pace the comedy and jokes between the drama we've been left with a puzzle where none of the pieces line up with each other so everything sticks out more and more.

The problem is clearly that they didn't have a scene in the movie where they break the 4th wall and tell everyone who doesn't like the movie that they are sexist and support the evil patriarchy that is totally suppressing feminist ideas... that are all over the media for some reason. Hmm I wonder if you're actually suppressed if your ideas are the mainstream view.

Dar-Benn is literally the worst "sympathetic" villain MCU ever tried
The Krees genocide the Skrulls and invade planets, Carol was 100% justified in taking out their leader, it's not her fault they're so incompetent that the moment their leader is dead, the empire crumbles, and it's definately not Carol's fault that these dumbasses went into a civil war that destroyed their own sun and atmosphere, at any point the Krees could've say "well this war is killing our planet, maybe we should stop?" but they didn't
