Coach Cristian, Love, love the Bruce Lee quote how word are energy! There is a book by Masaru Emoto titled The Hidden Messages in Water. "In this New York Times bestseller, internationally renowned Japanese scientist shows how the influence of our thoughts, words and feelings on molecules of water can positively impact the earth and our personal health." During the drop in calls you listen so deeply and recognize the intentions of our words! Your words definitely make a positive impact! Thank you so much🙏❤

I have started to really express to my family that after a sleepless night I just want to be alone. That is okay. I still love them but I need this. I only have a couple of these nights a month but that’s because I live a very simple life and am home a whole lot. When I have more plans, I struggle a bit more. And again…that’s okay. It’s so much more powerful to stop believing there is something wrong with me or that I shouldn’t have this issue. Acceptance has been HUGE!

Christian, thanks for this video. I find it very hard to practise self kindness but you ve given me some good pointers how to go about it. I really enjoyed our conversation. I am currently reading natto but reading how it works feels me with a bit of dread, how can I achieve this acceptance ..I find it so hard to accept this struggle and keep resisting. When I look back on my sleep its not too bad. Nights of 6 7 8 hours followed by a night of 4 or less. Than the whole cycle begins again. It seems when I am getting more sleep and rested there is a turning point where the new found rest and energy feeds the sleep anxiety again and then I start all over again...Although it doesnt seem too bad in regard to hours of sleep I had, I feel quite bad physically and emotionally. I want to feel rested so bad but this wanting creates pressure which leads to sleeplessness...I wil continue to try and learn to accept it and be kind to myself, but as you ve stated yourself...this journey is a very hard one..

Question: I could phrase this in many ways, but how do I not hate or forgive insomnia itself? I think I realized that I can't really befriend nighttime wakefulness as I hate insomnia so much and what it did to my life. So whenever I'm awake which is often I just hate it so much. I understand the core principles of recovery but I think my hate towards insomnia is holding me back.

The lack of self kindness is what puts us on anxiety/insomnia journey anyway...

Thank you, this is so helpful because I tend to practice self-kindness only when I'm in panic mode. The thing that really gives me pressure to sleep are the responsibilities I have towards the people close to me. How do you deal with this, aside from self-kindness?
