Just remember guys and girl's...if you don't TO every customer follow them home.
I learned and work with the #1 finance manager and sales manager in the east coast in the 90s he's gotten a plaque btw.
But there's some other tropics he needs to bring up that are more related to strictly auto business sales. Those who have never been in the business

Honestly I can’t explain how much passion I got for the car world, to the point where I was looking for people worked in dealerships in Instagram and just started sending them messages explaining how much I want to be in their dealership, to the point where boss of the VW group which had VW, AUDI SEAT in the same dealership actually calling me personally, when he told me his name I was just amazingly happy, literally I was about to jump from excitement.. sadly he told me that there is no need for extra workers.. I felt so letdown and unhappy because I thought I will be hearing that he will want to meet with me... but I thought about for a second that the boss himself called so I did achieve something... anyway I’ll never stop because I want a career out of the car world.. that’s what I love and I will do WHATEVER it takes so I can get hired in a car dealership🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I have to say I used a few of those techniques if not all and got my job with no absolutely no experience in the dealer world!! Car dealerships will hire almost anyone. They have a very high turnover rate and most people in the auto industry fail. Also some of the best sales people are sleepers and have no prior sales experience, so this is why dealerships will give almost anyone a job. It's just hard to keep it and make money at it if you aren't good and committed to becoming better.

Very informative. I'm looking for a refresher in life. I'm 27. I don't get paid much where I currently work. I like cars. I'm a young guy, being around fast rides turns me on. I know these things are good to get the job and some of the tips are good for when you have the job but I'm wondering what else goes into it when you have the job (what ever it may be your'e doing at the dealership) so your working there for a year washing cars, detailing your ready to move forward with the company. How much further can you go with out a college education? Also I'm interested to know the switching through so many dealerships and not sticking through with one dealership? What's the deal? What should we look out for as a clear indication that its time to move on, that it would be more beneficial to switch jobs/companies? Maybe he has other videos explaining more. Ill have to check. Very cool video, thanks for putting this out here for everyone.

Hey Spencer! Ive looked into buying a custom photo from your new website however I cannot justify over $12 in shipping alone when the product costs $15 to begin with. $20 out the door would be much more reasonable and I'm sure possible. Love the content and hope this constructive criticism helps! :)

    • @kxrlzzz795
      @kxrlzzz795 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

So many people have gotten used to "free" shipping, they forget how expensive it actually is. Especially things like posters, which the packaging would likely be considered an "abnormal package" it is going to be a little costly. That $12 shipping cost wont go away, meaning if he brings it down to $20 out the door, the amount he earns from the product goes from 15 dollars to 8 dollars. Cost of production doesnt go away either, meaning that 7 dollars of profit taken away was the majority of the net profit.
Nobody wants to charge more than they have to, and I am sure he has thought long on hard on exactly how much he needs to charge to both keep the business going and to grow.
Sincerely, someone who has to regularly charge 35 dollars shipping to get a 30 dollar product overseas.

I had 16 years experience at a high end dealer. Started as a porter, became a parts delivery driver and ended my time there as a counterperson. These bullet points are all great, but might I suggest a future video which tells young people looking to advance within a dealer how to do so, or is a video on how to get the dealer principal's daughter pregnant too risque for TH-cam?
I mean, that's excessively common in dealerships.

You go to work at a car dealership to be in sales my dude. Being a cashier is an entry level position and brings little value to the dealership. Management, finance, and sales (auto or service advisor) is where the money is made. BTW I live in Milwaukee so I know what Russ Darrow is. I worked at Andrew Toyota in the BDC and made $14 per hour plus commission and I averaged $20 per hour at the end of the year with both hourly and commission combined. I will be starting as a sales person at Honda City in a few weeks and can make up to $80,000 per year or more if I sell 20 cars per month or more. The average car sales person sells about 12 cars a month, but I know how to market and have a few tricks up my sleeve. Make sure if you are going to sell cars that you work at a high volume dealership and that dealerships pays well. Industry average is 25% of the gross profit of a sale plus bonuses on accessories and units sold per month. If you are very good and consistently sell 20 or more cars a month you can renegotiate your commission from 25% to 30%, but you need to prove yourself first. Don't sell for Andrew Toyota, their training sucks and the GM and owner are a**holes. Work for a dealership on Highway 100 as most dealerships there are the top sales volume dealerships in the entire State of Wisconsin.

    Job seeker: "Yes"

    Job seeker: "Yes"
    [ ✔ ]
4.) Manager: Are you willing to do whatever it takes for dealer profit, including but not limited to: raising interest rate to the highest allowable by law, adding hidden dealer costs and pressuring customers into buying bullshit warranties?
    Job seeker: "Yes"
    [ ✔ ]
5.) Manager: Would you sell your soul to the devil?
    Job seeker: "Yes"
    [ ✔ ]
    6.)
    Manager:
If you feel you are not able to make the deal, will you let 10 more salesmen come and try to make that deal by bringing the customer's morale and psychological will straight to the floor?
    Job seeker: "yes"
    MANAGER:
    CONGRATS! YOU ARE HIRED!

Also walk in with a tie and ask to speak to the GM...multi talented? You need someone you know Will get anything done that no one else can.
    Multi talented.
Great job getting a Job at Lamborghini you're losing customers if you're not getting the job at the dealership you choose. .
Guy's ask them to give you 1 chance. Tell the GM you will lead the board selling 20 car's a month make sure you sell 28 29 30. The 2nd month dominate.
I sell 29 on bad months. I've been trained by the best keep in mind.
I follow the road to the sale. Thats all I do learn it

Selling luxury brands is hard. The commissions are higher because the profit margins are higher, but those dealerships sell very few cars every month. Higher commissions but much fewer units sold. If you want to sell a lot of cars then sell Toyota, Honda, or Kia/Hyundai. These are the top 3 selling brands in America. Kia/Hyundai have stepped up their game in the past few years and are getting rid of their prior bad reputation of being cheap and crappy cars.

@@cjlsniper in my country, high school graduates are hired to be sales. Since sales are expendables.. And people with bachelor degree who can't get a job, also try sales job
Its harder to get a staff or admin job at a company than to be a sales
