I am breast cancer patient and I have never ever drunk alcohol or smoked and I got it. Mine: hormones estrogen positive.
Thank you for your videos.
Same here! I don’t drink l, i don’t smoke, i eat fast food like twice a month. I more on cooking. I do alot of walking. I was diagnosed at age 35.
@@rdj6362 You see and it's not always alcohol or smoke. Some cells get crazy that's all.
Same.
Yes - nothing in life in guaranteed. Like I mentioned in the video, we don't know why some women get breast cancer. These are factors that contribute but it's not necessarily everything
Nothing on you list much me but at ,normal baby delivery breast feedingand at 45 it comes, estrogen positive. Just removed a d no treatment. After 6 years come back. I took more care about my life style and now 8 years still alive and enjoy my life. Just done all tests, nothing change, but doctor offering the same protocol- chemo, steroids ect. Then full mastectomy. Do I need it? I am not sure. I can still curry on another 19 years without fighting with side effects even cancer free.
It's probably in our food, and air. There are lots of ppl who don't & haven't drank liquor, exercise, eat healthy food,a normal body weight etc...They still developed breast or other cancers.
Probably, in my case too. Non- drinker alcohol and non-smoker and I got it. Even, I was always on schedule for my Mammogram and Ultrasound but this year, I was diagnosed breast cancer with hormones estrogen positive. How I got it or the reason nobody knows!!! Now, I am dealing with it. The good news as my doctor said I found out in the beginning this is why it's very important to do the annual Mammogram or ultrasound and save our life. The damages are less.

Yup, early menstruation, late menopause, never interrupted by childbirth or birth control. My poor boobs have just been swimming in estrogen too long. (Recently diagnosed BC)
Nothing you can do about that, sister.
Hi Amy, myself Banu from India suffering from colon cancer.I have undergone 6 chemos what exercises should I do
Thanks for sharing this video. What about HER2+ BC? Can you address that?
This is so informative. Thank you.
Glad it helped!
I love your videos very informative!!
Thanks for watching!
Myself, along with at least 5 other estrogen positive breast cancer patients all took birth control pills.
Can definitely see how you would feel that is a pattern. Especially if lots of your friends are in the same position. Many, many women take birth control. Studies have not found there is a very small increase in risk with breast cancer. it is more likely that other factors are at play
And who knows . I'm a non drinker or smoker, never overweight, Healthy vegetarian diet for over 40 years, late menstruation, early menopause. Perhaps too sedentary.
There is not much point in trying to figure out why it happened. You may never know the answer. Instead focus on how you can lower the risk of recurrence
I had Brest cancer 10 years ago. Now I am peri menopause, and started Bio identical hormone a few months ago, since then I feel great. What do you think about HRT after breast cancer. Thanks
Great question. I would need to know more about the specific type of breast cancer and details of the diagnosis and treatment before I gave my opinion
Think u forgot to upload the next video?
I am upset that I ever had Cancer. It didn't start until I had radio active iodine done . Because I didn't even have uterine Cancer at all until I was treated for Hyperthyroidism. Then I have tried exercising & my weight won't come down. Then when I had my mastectomies I swelled up my feet were swollen. My regular doctor had to put me on a diarectic. Because the swelling would not come down on me. Even when I was drinking water. At one time I use to be a lot healthier. Then during the Wintertime it's more difficult for me to get out & walk.
That would be so upsetting. Your focus now should be to the future. How can you be the healthiest version of you? It is possible right now
I was 35 years old and last year April 2023 . I was diagnosed of breast cancer stage 3 grade 3 ER+ PR+ Her - . I did chemo and radiation. Then left breast mastectomy with immediate lymph node reconstruction. They also started me on zoladix injection to put me on menopause state as my cancer is due to hormones. Please doctor Amy what are your thoughts about my decision of removing my ovary coz i don’t want to deal the injection monthly and its cost $7k dollars per injections and i don’t know for how long the insurance will cover it and its for 5 years. By the way when I saw your video I followed you right away coz i know how it feels to have cancer and i can relate of what you been through.
Your body can still produce Estrogen after ovaries are Removed, I got her2 positive breast cancer , and was looking into getting my ovaries removed, but as the body still can produce Estrogen I'm not sure it's worth going through another operation, I'm on kadcyla infusions and take Exemestane inhibitors which gives better results with less chance of recurrence, hope this helps !
I already done my chemo and radiation. I am on maintenance of anastrozole and zoladix
