Went on a Moon's Custom Rods charter with lots of great people! 2.5 day trip on the O95. My first time on this boat. This was such a great group of fisherman! The weather was up on the first day and a few of us, including myself, got sick! lol. Thank you, Joe, for the extra patch! The weather laid down the 2nd day and it was all good.
We had a tough time finding the right kind. But there were plenty of skippies that kept the rods bent and people happy! The food was phenomenal! Thanks Moon and Joe for providing some awesome grub!

@@raa6317 I've tried everything. When it comes down to the nitty gritty, the patch works the best, followed by the scopalomine pill, and then bonine.
They sell ginger drops in the health food stores. Ginger really helps when ur chumming with ur breakfast!!!

Another great video. I used to get seasick but ever since I discovered Bonine I’ve never been sick. I take one pill the day before and one pill an hour before the boat leaves.
M C Bonine doesn’t work on me for some reason. I’ll have to figure out what’s up with my current batch of Scopace pills.
Sick vid man!! Just went on a full day offshore on the San Diego. Limited out on tuna and ran into a few marlin and hooked up on one for the first time! Good sign of fish in the water! Tight lines bro hopefully we end up on a trip together!

@@sab35263 I use 50lb Pline and typically a short piece of 30 to 50lb floro. 50lb for jigs and 30 to 40 for freelining bait. I dont wind on a top shot.

Ginger is a life saver if you are feeling seasick. Bring some crystallized ginger to chew on. Seen it help many bootcamp their first time out to sea.

Was your boat out of bottle waters? Cuz I just came back from a trip and O95 grabbed few cases of bottled water from our boat on the ocean.
Freedom Talk Not sure. We hooked up with the Pride on the first night but I wasn’t sure what was passed. There were plenty of water bottles it seemed.

And your caption told us your boat uses flat fall caught 7 YFT right before that happened, so our caption told us to try flat fall jigs. We didn’t catch anything with flat fall that night. It was bit crazy to see how two boats passes stuff to each other!

Even if the rod has a reel seat you still gotta use a clamp brother.. could take some less than 30 seconds when the rod is in the racks to snip your line/unscrew the seat/and throw the reel wherever. It has happened. Love your vids tho.
james murphy I hear ya bro. Sad but true sometimes. I tend to stick with private charters which helps.
I'd suggest getting your name engraved on the reel seat ( area facing down ofcourse. Also stick a piece of paper with your info or even receipt in the rod. Pop off the butt cap, roll up you paperwork and replace the butt cap. Use a little rod adhesive. Any disputes as to who's gear it is, your golden. I've got a few rods n reels back this way over the years. Hope it helps

Feel bad for you getting seasick. I was out last Saturday on the Liberty 1.5 days and the sea was angry. I was on the verge but captain Neeb found a school of suicidal yft and we limited out by 9am. Totally forgotten about the seasickness.
