Thanks for watching Rodney! I appreciate your tuna and trout videos as well. I hope one day we can collab at a lake or offshore and catch a few for TH-cam. -Tight Lines
Your videos are awesome by the way and i have a quick question. I am new into ocean fishing iv gone 3 times and i was looking into getting a low profile like the lexa 400 or okuma komodo? what do you think
Hey Branden, love your videos. A little tip from a guy who's been doing those trips longer then you've alive. Watch where the deckhand throws the chum and put your bait in the same spot or as close as you can. Give it a try.
Omw to my 1st day and half tripbob condos watched this for research. But now I've got baby shark stuck in my head- likely for the trip duration! Damn it! Lol 😆
My gear selection is listed in the description box for those who were asking. I fish mostly Daiwa Saltist series reels and Daiwa Proteus rods. My newest reels are the Lexa 400HD and Saltist 40H (2019 versions) Most of the time we flyline with 25 to 30lb test flourocarbon backed with 50 or 40lb braid for max line capacity. Hooks this season were Mustad or Owner #2 or #4 J live bait/flyliner J hooks. Any further questions just leave in the comments below.
I've caught trout larger than those yellowtail that you guys kept... Have you guys no ethics? The ethical minimum is 24 inches but good God could you at least let them grow to 20 inches? Those you caught could barely make a meal!
Dude, I subscribed just to add to your message...I gotta say, that's one of the most pathetic catches of yellows I've ever seen. Deplorable Man, I fully agree with you and for someone that apparently fishes as much as this guy Brandon does, I would expect more. No wonder this kid only has 814 subscribers...Not 815, I signed up just to send this....Now I'm unsubscribing....real punk move dude.
Thanks for the video. I love that you include the instructions from the skippers, this helps first timers what to expect.
I like to show what goes on from start to finish. Thanks for your support.
Nice haul,thanks for the details👍🎣
No offence meant but the way you handle the bait it's a wonder you hooked up at all. I'll bet the fore grip on you rod was covered in scales.
this tuna season was so epic! thanks for the share Branden

Great action!!🎣👍
nice video. can a 15lb max drag like Avet mxj 6/4 can land fishes you caught?
Yes if you fight the fish correctly
@@BrandensOutdoorChannel even if the reel max drag full 14lb
Nice trip Branden. Can you please put down descriptions of your gears and tackle. I am in SF Norcal looking to do a trip down in SD. Thanks man!
When i get on the computer at home, I'll put the info in the description box.

@@brandensoutdoorb-channel8084 Can you request for the stateroom or is it first come first serve basis?
@@jdondoy1 first come first serve on most boats.

Thanks. I've been fishing for about 20 years but don't get out to the ocean much. I've caught a few on the slide. It's fun.
Awesome video 👍🏼
Thanks for the visit
Hopefully I’ll get on a trip at the end of July 2012

Hey Branden I was going to get a Daiwa Saltist for yoyo. I was wondering if I should get the 40 or the 50 size?
Branden's Outdoor Channel do you like using your Lexa 400 instead of the 2 speed satltiga? Would you pick the Lexa over let’s say an avet 6/4 2speed?
Big Ray get the 35 for yoyo
@@solraymond i use the saltist 40 for yoyo but the 35 narrow is a good choice too.
@@sab35263 for flylined baits i prefer the Lexa 400HD. The two speed is good for bluefin. Avet 2 speed is better for bluefin.
@3:17 always one guy.
