First trip back after all the pandemic quarantine! I went with a couple of buddies on the Pursuit out of 22nd Street Landing. Capt John and crew did a great job all day with the safety protocols and putting us on fish. Bait were sluggish so picking the right bait was critical to getting bit. Fishing was scratchy so we all had to work for every bite. I got lucky with one of the 4 yellows landed. My buddy got another yellow for JP. Everyone went home with fillets on a beautiful day! Great group of guys fishing! Great meeting you, Isaac. Hope to run into you on future trips! Enjoy everyone!
Me and my dad just booked our trips on that boat for our birthdays on the 24th mines 25th lol can't wait watching your video makes it a bigger itch more so cuz its been 2 years since i went lol.
I just came back from the Freedom. I suck at fishing, just started up last year, i've only ever fishing creeks and lakes, freshwater species, and I'm from Long Beach, lol. Fishing these yellowtails and other saltwater species is fun and some great eating. Getting my practice in this year again, trying to get better at it.
@@jigslingersfishingchannel3713 I've hooked a yellowtail with my lightest setup (20lb) and it went straight for the kelp. It was still fun with lots of calico bass action.
I was the same way. But the itch was too tough to overcome haha Crew did a great job with all the safety protocols. Camera is actually Hero 6. Still works great 👍
How’s it going brother ! I got a quick question i just picked up a irod kaimana swk 805 20-30lb 8ft for very cheap off my budy i was trying to figure out what would be the best thing to do with this rod ? What would you recommend
Hey Bro! I was wondering if you have any good charters to go on currently with a good fish report and a good price. Is there any you would recommend? Thanks!
Wow another great vid I can’t believe it’s been so long since you posted. Can you give me some tackle and bait suggestions for going for halibut, yellowtail. You know the bigger fish out at the Channel Islands. It would be greatly appreciated
Yeah it was really nice to be on the water again! As for tackle keep things simple. 20lb setup 30lb setup 40 setup. Flyline, dropper loop, yo-yo setup. 👍
@@jigslingersfishingchannel3713 Oh things are opening up. Nice!!!! Suddenly I'm itching lol!! To go fishing that is. Are they limiting the amount of people who can be on the boat?
@@jigslingersfishingchannel3713 back home we hit them in the head soon as they are out of water, everywhere possible. A touch more human than letting them bleed while asphyxiating..

Is that Trinidad 14 or a 16 on the rod you caught the yellow on?
Trini 14A

@@jigslingersfishingchannel3713 dang, you got lucky then! Pursuits been reporting nothing on the reports so I was surprised when I saw this video

awesome thanks for the vid. Kind of sad to see that the landing is promoting to wear a mask but once on the boat, it seems like it is optional.
We tried the best we could. It was really hot and it’s fishing after all. 👍
Is the boat taking body temperatures or making you sign a release and can you take a folding chair to sit outside and not in the galley?
@@n6yun We signed a waiver and folding chairs were allowed.
this is a horrible way to die for that fish.

What are the rules with wearing the masks?
It's required
What happened to social distancing? That a big risk for a measly YT.
We did the best we could but it's fishing after all.
Where's the mask requirement enforcement on the pursuit?
