This coming week the episode will be about Floor. It will be interesting to see if anyone does any Nightwish songs, or songs from when she was in ReVamp or After Forever.
"Those people" are other famous artists in their own right. They're all super talented including "the blonde".
Her name is Emma Heesters. Shes a very successful cover artist on youtube. I don't know if you know what the show is about but each week the show is about one of the artists.
That artist sits in the "hot seat" with the host as the others all had picked a song to do for that artist. It's usually one of their songs or something that has special meaning to them.
For example: The blonde in red, in the hot seat. That's famous Dutch Folk artist Samantha Steenwijk. "Mama" is her song. And Floor picked that to honor her. And in her own language, dutch.
At the end, the honored artist picks a favorite but it's not a competition show. Its about celebrating music and artists coming together and bonding.

For clarity: German and Dutch are sister languages. Neither one is coming from the other.
What is interesting as a dutchy is that she is singing this with a Brabands (southern Netherlands) accent. It is funny for someone like me growing up in the north of the Netherlands, but makes it even more folksy lol.
It also does not make it any less awesome!
She is on the seat this weekend. She's sang 3 songs in 3 different languages. One in German. Two in Dutch. Three in Spanish.
This one is in Dutch, her native language. Floor is basically a national treasure now because of this tv show. It is fair to say most didnt know her from Nightwish.

The show Beste Zangers is about a group of Dutch professional singers that honour each other each episode by concentrating on one of them, singing their song or something that is dear to them for whatever reason. They're not judging each other or anything.
The next episode is about Rolf Sanchez, Floor sang Que Se Siente and it's totally worth the watch. The next episode is coming up tomorrow, and it focuses on Floor! So the other singers are going to sing her songs. I can't wait!

Yes Vilja Lied was in German, Mama is in Dutch, and the third song she did Qué Se Siente os in Spanish. As an interesting note Floor does not speak very much Spanish so learned to sing it without understanding a lot of the words.
Emma- I think thats her name - is the young girl on the couch. I dont think the look was jealously but one of "Oh man I need to diversify". She is a TH-camr from the Netherlands who sings covers. RUMOUR HAS IT... When it is Emma's turn on the couch Floor will be doing a Lady Gaga cover. Don't know if it's true.... but we will see.
Floor is the most internationally successful person in that room... but the Netherlands pretty much do not know about her.
The song Mama is an original by the woman wearing red on the couch, Samantha Steenwijk. She is a very very very well known folk / easy listening singer in the Netherlands. She is also competing on Dancing with The Stars there. I know the original song... and I honestly prefer Floors added flair. They are both very good singers.
The next song she does is a Spanish one, which she dedicates to all her fans in Latin America. It's funny and sweet... cause Floor claims she doesn't know how to 'groove' ... so funny.
When Floor is on the couch it will be interesting to see what they pick. I do want to hear a Nightwish cover but dont know if we will get that. Maybe we will get a Northward cover!

The woman on the couch is the original singer, and she was absolutely blown away by Floor doing this one for her, so no jealousy there, just awe. Who wouldn't be. Floor is off the planet. Floor was singing in her native language, Dutch.

This song is in Dutch. Every week on of the singers is the focus and takes the middle seat. In this case Samantha Steenwijk the blonde in red. That person does not sing that week and the others all pick a song to sing to them usually covering one of their songs or one that has special meaning to them. In this case Mama was Samantha's song. I swear I'm telling the truth , I am very fond of this program I watched every episode from the beginning that it was broadcast. I never heard of floor jansen but i do know a couple of the singers that are sitting on the couch. but Floor really mesmerized Me by singing this song of Samantha steenwijk which is the original according singer of this song and I never heard the original song either , but when I hear floor singing this song I was immediately Blown Away , tears were falling down my cheeks when she screamed out loud for Mama. I never heard of her and i understoud every word bycause I'm Dutch to. now the internet is exploding , because of her version singing this song mama. The full episodes have been subtitled , it’s a great watch. All the singers are great!!!
A wonderful Nightwish/Floor fan named Denise Hofs has put up English translations of the first 3 episodes...you should definitely watch at least the first one. It'll give you a good background on the show, and the other singers in it. As a result of the show, many NW/Floor fans have found new music and performers to appreciate, and Floor is getting a lot of exposure to people in her own country who didn't know who she was--metal is not something that's played on the radio in the NL, and Floor was virtually unknown in her own country (to non metal fans) prior to her appearance on the show. I'm pretty sure none of the other folks on this show had ever heard of her before this, so they're genuinely getting completely blown away each week seeing her perform. So far, she's done an opera aria in German, a pop song in Dutch, and a rocked up Salsa song in Spanish. As for the blond girl, Emma, after watching all 3 episodes of the show, I don't think it's jealousy; more like, as a singer, she's just having a "holy shit this woman's good" moment, something you see on everyone else's face as well lol. What's really cool is that these guys all seem to have genuinely had a great time getting to know each other, and you can certainly see how much fun Floor has been having when you watch the full episodes.
It's Floor's turn in the hot seat this week, and I can guaranty she'll need half a box of Kleenex to get through this episode. We know that the older blond, Samantha, is gonna do Our Decades in the Sun, which even Nightwish won't perform because they'd all be blubbering on stage (according to Floor herself). Should be a fun episode!

The people on the couch are also singers and they singing songs of each other or chosen by them. each episode one of them its in the spotlights and the other singers perform with songs from him/her or songs with a special meaning for that person.
Her native language DUTCH. The other people also are quite known singers in the Netherlands, so colleagues. So coming Saturday Floor will be the center of this program and the other artists will have to do something for Floor. I am very curious with what they will do that, because her songs all are of very ogh standard and completely out of their comfort zone except maybe for the opera singer Henk Poort.
So from what I know this is a show in the netherlands and all the people on the show are well known artist in or from the netherlands and each week one of them sit in the middle and the rest sing a song for them trying to "impress" the one in the middle

The premise of the show is that they are all well known Dutch singers and every week one of them is in the spotlight and other cover their songs for them. Floor is actually the least well known of them in her home Country. Until now that is. I bet everyone in Netherlands knows who she is now! Tomorrow will be the episode of Floor and the others will cover her songs for her so we don't hear Floor singing but it will be very interesting to hear others sing Nightwish amongst other things. Also Nightwish announced their Netherlands show of their Europe 2020 tour just last week and that timing surely is not a coincidence. :)

Hey B&S, so you know how you got some shit for laughing in your Dimash reactions. Well, did you notice the people in this video were laughing while listening to Floor? They are her peers, talented singers, from a variety of backgrounds and genres, and we got to see their first time reactions to Floor singing their songs, and they are laughing because they are in awe of Floor's awesomeness. Not because anything was funny, but because Floor literally makes people's jaws drop (as does Dimash). How about that. :)

Each night one of the singers and their production is celebrated and everyone else sings a cover from the singers production. Usually they change the song to fit their own style. For example Floor sang a rock version of a salsa song called Qué Se Siente last weekend. In this episode that blonde woman was the guest of the night. I'm sure you already got this, but the show Beste Zangers is a show where famous Dutch singers get together and sing songs for each other - usually from the other person's catalogue. Floor is famous internationally, but not so much in her home country, whereas all the other people here are famous in the Netherlands and are more well known than Floor there. Here, Floor is singing Samantha's song. I also wondered about jealousy, because it would be unfortunate to sing someone's song better than they can sing it themself, and in the same style. I think Floor tried to make it a bit more rock, but it sounds pretty similar overall... I don't know if that is taboo for the show or not... If so, I am sure Floor did not mean to offend, though. She strikes me as the classiest of people. She seems so humble, despite her incredible talent.

One of the best discoveries in this year edition is Floor. What a shame that I have never heard about her before. She is a world class top singer. I always thought that Glennis Grace was the best Dutch female singer, but I need to switch gears now....Floor is more versitale. Power voice from Brabant!!

You remember that "micro aggression" you saw on the girls face when Floor was singing this song? Well here's her song for Floor and it's such so expression of love that these artist have for each other on this show. The song is written by Floor for her mother that has lots of chronic pain and expression of how she still managed to stay "strong" :) It's also from Zangers. The y are all professional singer (7 + the emcee), each week one is on the couch and the other 6 sing one of that person's songs or one that is important to them, BTW next week Floor is on the couch!! She sang German aria to the Opera singer, now a Folk/Pop ballad to the woman on the sofa in Dutch and last week, hurry up guys she sang a Salsa song in Spanish to the singer on the sofa (th-cam.com/video/DfYeLUoqw0E/w-d-xo.html). You think this was good wait for the Spanish song, she did it in Spanish cause the singer did it as a salsa song and she learned it in Spanish for all her South American fans who go crazy for Nightwish but goes totally insane for Floor!!! Here like last week put her spin onto the song with more of a rock sound, she is the greatest song thief as any song she sings that version is the one that everyone remembers and if it is your song..well not any more sorry!!!
