  • // 15 Min Conditioning For The Press Handstand // Press Handstand Drills //
This video will not show you how to do a press handstand, but will help you prepare your body for it!
The exercises focus on strengthening our shoulders and core while working on our compression and flexibility as well. We'll spend a lot of our time shifting our weight onto our fingertips and pressing our hands and shoulders into the ground making our lower body FLOAT up. This will demand a lot of wrist extension, so make sure to include some wrist mobility exercises in your WARM UP!
For this workout, you will need a chair or something to elevate your feet.
If you are very focused on getting your press make sure you are able to hold a stable handstand. In my opinion at least 45s. A 45s handstand indicates you have good control over your body and have developed enough strength in your shoulders.
    Let's FLOAT!

Wow this is the best routine to prepare your body for press handstand. If you cant do these exercise relatively comfortable, then you are not ready for press handstand. Master this routine first before trying press handstand.
Press handstand is difficult for most people.

I think this one of the best clear and complete guides on the press to handstand skill and on core compression in general on yotube. Thanks for generousely sharing nice content in this underrated channel.

Thanks. I love your videos, by far the best. I've been struggeling with tuck ups since forever it fells like. Could you possibly do a workout plan / viideo for tuck up to handstand please? That would be so great. All the videos I found on youtube so far weren't helpful and no follow along routines.

Very awesome - i did about 2/3rds and it was a killer! I have been working on handstand for about a year now, and still not there yet. I will try doing this workout, and see if eventually i do it :) I am 48, so I have to go much slower than people half my age :)

@@MOVEBLOCKS everything 😂 I REALLY struggle with any type of folds. My goal is to reach the floor in pancake stretch and at least get closer to my legs in forward fold within the next year or two. I find it almost impossible to do front splits no matter how much I stretch and I can only somewhat get down in middle splits if I rotate my hips. So this routine is advanced for me personally but it's amazing nevertheless and I will incorporate it at least once a week. Can't wait to try your other routines!

  • @christiazeiter2758

If your doing this for the first time like me, DO NOT DO THIS ON CARPET!! Any of the exercises that involve sliding of the floor with becomes 10x harder and give you carpet burn. I highly recommend doing it on a hard wood floor or somewhere with smooth flooring ✨
