  • // How To Fix A Rounded Back In Your Pancake? //
Today I am addressing a common problem regarding the pancake stretch.
The problem of the rounded lower back.
In this video, I try to explain why it happens and propose a few exercises on how to fix it.
One of the main reasons for poor lower back mobility in a pancake stretch is hamstring inflexibility. In the following video I talk about two important factors to take into account when trying to improve hamstring flexibility:
    - The strength of our quads and lateral glutes
    - The sciatic nerve
Towards the end of the video, I recommend 6 exercises to help you address this problem, designed specifically for a pancake stretch.
If you have any questions don't hesitate to leave a comment down below or write to me privately.
Have fun and see you next time!

I have watched many pancakes tutorials and this is by far one of the best explained. Very informative regarding the mechanics of the muscles. Thank you!

Yeah tom merrick is cool and all... but he's making the pancake stretch even more complicated to progress.

Would love a follow along video as a mobility workout from this video. It feels easier to me to get through hard stretches if I just follow a routine in realtime.

I have been trying to do this for so long and after watching a dozen videos and trying their excercises for weeks, and there was one specific stretch in the video that finally allowed me to start unlocking this range. The stretch at 6:40 is actually getting me deeper in the pancake with it feels like almost every rep. Great movements

I love the exercises you suggest. It would be helpful to record a follow along video. It's not ideal to stop and restart the video after each exercise and then to resume from the start to redo them three times as recommended.

Hi! Thank you for your question. You should put it somewhere on your sacrum. A little bit above is better, but make sure it feels good for you and you don't feel too much discomfort. Hope I answered your question😊
