I seem to recall Nukes not being particularly effective against shielded covenant ships. They were very effective once their shields were down, or if you could get them inside the covenants shields, but otherwise lacked the power to reliably kill covenant capital ships. Or am I misremembering?
@@johnathanblevins1952 no, you are correct. One of the biggest problems the UNSC faced using nukes against the covenant was their shielding was purposefully designed to protect against energy damage, which nuclear weapons could arguably be classified as just giant energy bombs.
Yeah that's fair, in space there's not much to make a nuke effective in the same way it is on the ground. But the UNSC still used salvos of nukes against the covenant. There's a significant lack of embedded planetary MAC's too though.
@@johnathanblevins1952 Nukes weren't massively effective (IRL they're greatly weakened in space due to the lack of air to carry a pressure wave), but the flash alone was sufficient to strain the shields of multiple Covenant ships at once. Imagine a Halo version of Ace Combat with UNSC and Covenant fighters.
You mean to tell me, the greatest fighter the unsc had was completely lost to them because they didn’t have any data backups whatsoever off one planet??! WHAT?
Which makes me wonder why they didn't do any backups. I know the Sabre was classified and all, but having backups on other planets would be the smart thing to do.
Now all they need to do is make a YSS- 1001 or 2000 Super Sabre. *slaps knee and laughs hysterically*
Could you do a video on all the warships of the unsc?
You should do your next video on the broadsword
Pls talk about the marathon cruiser
I would like to see the Longsword fighter from halo 1.
Can you you do a video on the LongSword
I’m late to the Halo universe so videos like these are good opening salvos into the lore and equipment. Perhaps someone can recommend a good place to get a ‘proper’ introduction lol
Halo Canon's TH-cam channel has a bunch of great "Halo primer" videos for onboarding new fans.
Here is a video recapping the main story across the games and books.
th-cam.com/video/y6DtLNPet0k/w-d-xo.html
These TH-cam channels have a good amount of lore, theories and news about halo.
Halofollower
Installlation00
HiddenXperia has good lore videos too but I think some of them require previous knowledge
I'd recommend watching a few story recaps and then diving into some more lore via Halo Canon, Installation 00, and Hiddenxperia, but mainly installation 00 as he has some good content surrounding various equipment
@Spacedock, Is there any chance you could do a Short Video on the OF92 Booster Frame From Halo Legends and Comic Lore. Like the Sabre it is an impressive craft that like the sabre was deemed to be unfit for use due to its Cost, but unlike the Sabre Fighters it is still being seen used today on board the infinity by FT Majestic. Had it been used more during the war It could've Given a Impressive edge due to its On Board Guass Cannon and Anti-Plasma Defense Measures!!! Please at least check it out.
Hmm the F4 broadsword was first used in the 2530.
While the Broadsword is canonically the successor to the Sabre, I don't like its design. Sabre is the best design.
Could you cover the Various Mechs/Ships from the TitanFall Franchise?
I like to sabre interceptor over both the broadsword fighter and longsword bomber. It's far more capable than both.
Between the Terran Siege tank and the Imperium's Baneblade which tank is better?
Terran Siege Tank for it's mass production. Baneblade for it's ridiculous firepower. 40k always wins the power comparisons.
@@Kapteeni40
I seen some awesome Forerunner tank concept art designs on Deviant Art I wonder how the Baneblade would compare.
1v1 the Baneblade would crush a Siege Tank. It could probably do it literally, just driving over it.
Can you do a video on the MCRN Lapithes, a ship from Season 2 of the Expanse!?!?!?!?
I loved this ship, I don't know why did they have to bring the Boardsword that looked like something from CoD
Please, do a video on the Satellite of Love from MST3K!
