I'd like to say I really appreciate your videos. Most nailtechs I know, get pissed when other nail techs share "free" information. There'll always be people that try things themselves and I rather have them try it with good information, than without and completely destroying their's and other people's nails.
I also wanted to add that not everyone can afford to go to school. I was quoted a price, well over what I paid to get licensed for skin. In my state, skin is more hours in school than nails. Couldn’t believe how much they wanted for a program that is literally 15% less hours. I plan on signing up for some of Anastasia’s courses. However, I go to her TH-cam A LOT for troubleshooting when I’m learning on myself and a trainer hand. Thanks Anastasia!

@@TinaThatsMi Lots and lots of cuticle oil! I mix my own... about ¾ jojoba oil and ¼ vitamin E oil. If I'm having cuticle problems, I apply it *many* times a day. If everything is fine, I apply it morning and night. I get empty cuticle oil pens from Amazon; it makes it so easy to apply and carry in a purse or pocket. I apply it, and let it soak in instead of rubbing it in. (Unless I have to use my hands of course, but I usually do it when I'm watching TV and can sit still for a while.) Within a couple of days, I see improvement. With continued frequent use, your cuticles and sidewalls will soon be healthy and beautiful.

I've been doing many of these mistakes. That's because of poor initial training. I've always wondered why I have to work so long on nail prep and this is why. Thank you for further and correctly educating me.
I thought I was ready and went ahead and used the efile to prep my sister's nails, friend's and my own nails and I made all of these mistakes. I'm going to look up your classes!

Starting out doing my own nails with an electric file I definitely over filed the sides. If I put acrylic on all the exposed nail now it’s beyond the nail the extends from my finger. I stopped filing it or placing product on it. My skin on the side walls grew back very shallow. Hard to explain but sides are practically flush with my nail. With this ever fix itself? I was so upset when I realized I changed the shape of my nail bed🥺

Hi, I'm late to the party, but this just popped up on my feed. Thank you so much for this! The only nails I've done with this tool are my own, and I desperately needed cuticle advice. I'll be sure to do it correctly now that I know more. 😁
Now I understand why my nails were looking like this after a few “experienced” manicures!!!!!!! I just gave up, I will do a manicure course to make my own nails!
Great video. What do you recommend for a client who’s had a bad time and had their side walls over filled...to the point it’s left damaged nail beds, lifting of the nail plate, thin nails that are breaking or very soft/bendy free edges. I’d absolutely love to see a detailed video on that. How would you deal with it? Can they still get nail extensions? Gel extensions? Gel painted onto their damaged nails? Are they meant to leave them well alone to grow them out? Sorry for all the questions but I’d love to learn in depth about these type of issues and how professional nail tects would deal with them. Thank you x
I always dread when the manicurist has to push back my cuticles and trim them! I've been nicked with their bits a few too many times, which causes burning when they start applying the acrylic to my nails and something I did not know until recently is that you can develop an allergy to the monomer liquid that's used to pick up a bead of acrylic powder. I've been wanting to learn to apply my own acrylic nails, but the whole idea of developing an allergy to the monomer liquid scares me! I'm glad they make HEMA-free monomer liquid though, but I think I'll be starting out using the gellytips on myself before going full acrylic to nail. The nice thing about gellytips is that your natural nails aren't taking as much damage as straight acrylic to nail. As soon as I get all the supplies I need and want, I'll be watching TONS more nail education videos. This is only something I plan to do as a hobby, so wish me luck!

But it's not Russian technique. It's worldwide.
Hands down best tutorial for common mistakes in this area. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us :)
I'm trying to learn as much as I can about doing my nails properly. This video has been a great help. Thanks
I've began doing my nails and my nieces nails this year and this video has by far been the best one I've seen on doing the cuticles, which has been my biggest challenge! Thank you for posting such a good video. You're explanations and demonstration is so clear and perfect! Now I know I need to get another bit for clearing that white line after pushing back the cuticle and clearing the dead skin off the nail bed!!!
Omg, those photos at the beginning!!! I had a girl file my nails down until they were paper thin, and I thought about burning down her shop. I hope she watches this and never destroys anyone’s hands again.
But why did you let her though??
@@TruuColorZ that’s something I don’t understand with people getting their nails done, they just let these people abuse nails/hands, say nothing, tip them (when they don’t deserve it) then complain afterwards, like why? why do people let nail techs treat them that way, I don’t get it
@lovelyrosebw well I’m incredibly nervous around people and don’t like confrontation, and don’t like to complain. So it can be really hard to speak up about it
@@kusuosaiki6029 that is 100% a reality. Some people take advantage of that as well.
@@TruuColorZ it was a “full service spa”, not just a nail place. I was getting a mani, pedi, and facial at once. Everything else was great, but the owner was apparently sitting in for a girl out sick, and I was her first victim. There was LOTS of cussing and screaming. I got the entire package ($540) for free and she offered to fix them for free, but I wasn’t willing.
This is my first time setting one of your videos. I've never worked with any of these tools before, I've only just bought them and glad I have taken the time to watch this video. I will subscribe!
I'm Brazilian and im glad that Ifound your videos ❤️ You're such a good professional and I can learn and understand very well what you're saying cuz your english is so clear, thank youuuu
This is an excellent video. I have been doing nails many years and still struggle with cuticles. One thing I may try is the cuticle scissors as opposed nippers. Thank you for putting these videos out. They really help.
Totally think this is something I'm doing wrong! I'm still a complete beginner but your video has been really helpful! Thank you Anastasia!
So helpful! Excellent. Yes, I mangled my cuticles when I started doing my own nails. I am still finding the right way to do it. I’m not a nail technician.
Thank you for this video, i had to stop getting my nails done because my tech uses the same file on all , says its her favorite, but i had noticed that I have soft cuticles /also she files my new growth and nails grow roughly around the cuticle. I am treating my nails from the dip…my nails beds are so thin that water hurts my nails. I am so disappointed that these techs us the same techniques for all clients. I am so happy to have found your channel.
I have made these mistakes, I’m still learning 💐
This was by far the best video I’ve seen about providing cuticle care, thank you
I won't switch to e-file until i've learned how to prep nails safely. I do overlay for myself and i use hand file which is easier to control as a beginner :)
Thank you for posting!!! I didn't realize that I tend towards using the sharp point bit to lift my cuticles 😫 (don't do it anymore!!) And on the side edges of my nails and always wondered why they were so thin/fragile/flakey... I think it's time to take a course so I stop damaging my nails...
I've been doing many of these mistakes. That's because of poor initial training. I've always wondered why I have to work so long on nail prep and this is why. Thank you for further and correctly educating me.
Hola
I thought I was ready and went ahead and used the efile to prep my sister's nails, friend's and my own nails and I made all of these mistakes. I'm going to look up your classes!
Nice! Thank you for sharing! I am not a pro...I just do my own nails at home, but I am brand new to the nail machine and bits and learning how to correctly use them. I've done my nails using the machine and bit twice, but I've been doing it all wrong! 🥺 At least I did it wrong on myself. Live and learn! Again, thank you so much! This was very helpful!
Yes I have made those mistakes thankfully it was on myself and I am getting my confidence in efile, I am now in school and I am so excited to become a professional nail technician
This video is so thoughtful! As a beginner nail tech this is super helpful!! Thanks so much for sharing!!
This was horrifying.. I've been going down under my cuticle to clean out the clear polish that gets in there. OMG I hope that doesn't happen to my nails!! I'm a very new diyer and have definitely been a bit drill happy.. at least I haven't subjected others to my learning process 😬
GIRLLLLLL 🤔🤣🙃🥴🥴😩😩😩🥺🥺THATS Y I'm here ,I've done MESSED UP my nails, skin, cuticles, roughness, cuts, scrapes u name it ,I can't even do my nails rn cuz I gotta let my poor hands breath & " RECIVER" after months of going crazy 🤣🤔Expecially the file on that u out ON the bit to file instead of hand file cuz I got tired if it ,girl I was doing too much with the sanding let me tell yah 😩😩🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️I wish I could insert pic 🤣🥺🥴
I'm new to doing my own nails and this video is immensely helpful! Thank you!
Thank you! I just bought my first e-file for home use. This just saved me. I was already making rookie mistakes. 😳
This is GREAT!! Thank you! More videos like this! This education isn't available in the United States and we desperately need it!!
It actually is. Reach out to Erica's ATA.

Kathy Kovacic I have seen her videos. She does good work but its not the impeccably perfect, "Russian" manicure I'm looking for
I love your videos. I do my own nails and now I know why they break so much. I have been filing on the sidewall 🤦🏽♀️.
Ngl I dont have much to give but there was a moment I realized that I gleaned so much usuful information that to not send $ seemed wrong. Thank you so much for providing education in this way 🤯
Thank you so much! 😘
I have over filed my sidewalls using a nail file. I'm greatful to find out what I have been doing wrong. Thank you!
I am just learning now and YOU are MAGNIFICENT. Thank you for all your tutorials.
You are so welcome!
I love how you explain everything and want to learn more
I took cosmetology back in high school, got certified but never used it. Wish I was taught this! I've made these mistakes on my own nails for years!
Thanks very much advice I have learned something important today
Thank you sooo much for doing this video. I went to nail school, and didn’t learn any of this. I greatly appreciate this video.
Omg! I did this - I used the tip improperly and made a dent in my nail very similar to your photo :( Thanks for the tips!
Найду вас везде, все ваши Каналы на ютубе, потому что вы супер мастер 👍🏽
Thank you so much. I have made all these mistakes. Great video
I did all of them. Lol. So glad I found your channel. Just searched Russian manicure n bam. I want to get one but scared techs may say they know and don’t!
The camera angle catches every little detail and its way easier to understand the procedure. Thanks!!
I love this video. I bought new cuticle bits but they haven’t worked for me really so I’m going to try these ways of trimming.
This is such useful info thank you for sharing because of covid I know a lot of nail salons are closed and people have to resort to doing their own manis and they want that solon quality! Me included
Thanks for this video! I use Russian style cuticle care on all my clients. When trimming the cuticle with the round bit, turn up the the RPM. Works like a charm.
Your free courses are so good I Wonder how the paid courses are! I love how you explain спасибо большое
Glad you like them!
My nails are JACKED UP ....THNX for this video ,I file the hell out of my nails trying to get stuff off ,I need to learn how to get off all my products or acrylics correctly !!!& How to use an e file correcttly this has helped so TY 🤔🙄😩😩😁😁🥴🥴🥴🤗💐
I do many of the mistakes but I keep trying thanks for the video very helpful
Thanks for sharing! I got some bits like these and i didn't use them because I didn't know they were for cuticles! I am not professional but do my own nails at home with a low power e file.
It’d be so nice if you made a video showing the usage of different bits on different nail types too ❤
I love your videos! They are so great and very informative! That being said, not sure if you have been corrected before or not, but instead of saying "let me guys know what you think" you should say "let me know what you guys think". Please don't take this offensively, I just want to help.
Love that i could understand u and that ur video was close up to really c in detail! Excited to learn more from u!
The video quality is amazing yes!!!
Thank you for the information. I was definitely doing some stuff wrong!!! Thanks again!
Попался ваш ролик, мне нравится узнавать новое, в том числе маникюрный лексион) успехов! 🎉
Hi, I'm late to the party, but this just popped up on my feed.
Thank you so much for this! The only nails I've done with this tool are my own, and I desperately needed cuticle advice. I'll be sure to do it correctly now that I know more. 😁
Oh yeah, I have made all these mistakes and more! That’s why I only do this on myself 😁. But I need to start doing this correctly. Thank you!
Perfect!
Now I understand why my nails were looking like this after a few “experienced” manicures!!!!!!! I just gave up, I will do a manicure course to make my own nails!
But I am grateful to you that I can learn nail service while learning English, as I understand your English well.
Thank you so much. I was doing many things wrong for my personal manicure 💅
Thank you , I am still perfecting my e file.
this makes so much sense and looks really beautiful, satisfying to watch :)
great Videos and informations. The camera makes excellent zoom! Thanks
Thank you x
Try ibd,the nail hub has a video on it,liz has awesome videos too.
@@patriciagallacher6741 she's the best 😁
@@patriciagallacher6741 IBX. That's exactly what I used on my overfiling mistakes! God send!
Very very informative and to the point very good explanation just an overall excellent tutorial
Hahaha,I said the same & you end up going crazy wanting to get everything lol fairy Glamour has a subscription vsite & also Markartt that has subscription s or just buy stuff as well little by little ,I've got SO MUCH stuff now in only a few months lmao I don't even know where to put it all ,I got stamping stuff, acrylic, polygels, liners, reg polish, rhinestones, stickers,ALLLLL KINDS of fun fun stuff I'm 52 ,I did them when I was a kid now, I'm doing again for a hobby & Valentino beauty they got very nice polish but EXSPENSIVE butt worth EVERY penny lol
Me too. My cuticles are mega sensitive and now I only touch them.
Thank you so much for your amazing tutorials and courses!
Thank you so much! I’m still learning and this helped me so much!
Excellent video. This was very informative. Thank you.
This is amazing. I am struggling with the type of buffer to use for opening the side walls, when doing a manual manicure. Can you suggest a few for us? Thank you!
Well explained thanks a lot
Wow! Loved this! Thank you for sharing this with us all!! ♥️
I love this . Helped so much and learned so much I didn’t know about thanks .
This woman is GOOD
Very informative! On my self I've made a lot of these mistakes. I'm glad it was only on my self though lol. Especially the side wall part. Tyfs 😘
