As an owner of Alfa Giulia but with 2.0 engine (280 hp) - can say that dude made a good choice.
Absolutely
Those electrical gremlins are all battery related. Get rid of the Varta battery and you should be good to go. Any drop in voltage and things will go haywire.
I agree. Ditch the battery, get a better one. If gremlins persist, change out the relay’s. That is all.. our Quad has been flawless and now 85000km.
Oh, and GENTLY warm up the engine to 4 notches on the oil temp gauge. Don’t fly out of the street on cold startup.
AND let it idle a minute after driving to cool down the turbos.
This is fantastic advice from you both! I have heard this from owners
These electrical gremlins also affect the first production series (before 2018/19)
I have a 2018 model with 42000 km and yes i also had these electrical issues. Got rid of the battery, fixed most of them, changed relays - didn’t any difference. During my first big service my mechanic noticed that my alternator rotor was loose. I replaced that and haven’t had a single issue since then. Everything works brilliantly
These issues are related to the battery sensor which is sitting on the negative terminal on the battery. That kills the battery. It's easy to replace it. It costs £80-£90.
A great car good choice.Future Classic.
Agreed! Such a pretty alternative to the M3
I own a 4C. Love my baby! And after the 4 cyl. It is very important to have a 6 Cylinder! Time to Buy one. Production is going soon to the end. This Yours last chance ! Value will grow up a lot! Like for my 4C🍀👍
Thanks for watching
GOOD INTERVIEW. LOVED THE ENTHUSIAMS FOR THE ALFA BRAND FROM THE OWNER. TOP VIDEO!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching 😊
great interview. I love my 2017 Ti Sport. Even with it's Gremlin induced issues.
Glad to hear it!
@@carchapswhat is a gremlin?sry im german
As an ex owner of a 4C and current quad owner, his comment about the 4C not driving well, is well, ridiculous. The one thing it does is drive incredibly well, particularly with the right tires (some people also use spacers). The opinios generated from hear say other inexperienced people is well funny.
How does the 4c drive? I'm a Quad owner & all time Alfa fan (23+ years).
Great cars and thank you for a cool video 👍
Thanks for watching !
Nice format
Glad you like it, Thanks !
do you perchance need a new battery? often sorts out the electrical gremlins
I have heard that - a lot of these issues are related to low batteries
happy as a cucumber while check engine light on. nice🤣typical alfa owner
It’s a special state of zen owning an Alfa
Great job. As an 18 qv owner in california
Great to hear! Thank you
Come back, you posh cair of punts!
You had something really great with this channel.
Thank you good sir, we are most definitely not disappearing! Just a short intermission of boring adult life things resulting in a bit of a delay till we get going again 👍🏻
Fantastic candid interview, I think his is in the minority in terms of electrical problems he’s mentioned. Mine has been great in that regard. Any car enthusiast must drive one at the very least, let alone own one because Jeremy Clarkson said so, hmph 😤 😂
Glad you enjoyed it and that you have had a good ownership experience - think everyone has this preconceived notion about Alfa, but don’t bat an eyelid when German alternatives go wrong constantly
so so true!@@carchaps
It does come with Manual ,,,Only in Europe,,,USA Automatic only...
Yep, and from what I’ve heard the manual is a bit crap
Only the early ones had a manual transmission - after ?2018 they were all automatic.
@@carchapsI drove one recently & liked it, its a normal manual box. Only with some tech like auto-blip etc.
If you want a manual and can drive a LHD, I see no reason not to get one. Its no worse than my Z4M Coupe
Manuals were only made in 2016 to 2018 for mainland Europe, under 1000
24k miles in 6 and a half years? Sounds like you need to get it out the garage more 😉
Thanks for watching 👍🏻
I dont think losing half its value in 7 years is "hefty depreciation" at all, in fact I think it's frustratingly low depreciation for those who would buy these as a used bargain supercar.
It’s not bad at all, especially compared to similar cars, but it’s enough to move it closer to bargain status
@carchaps Thing is, prices are holding firm now and I reckon the Quadrifoglio will go up again in value like the 4c
just to point out there is a bmw badge on the rear numberplate 😆
Great car. Nice guy.
We agree!
Cudo❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
❤️🤌🏻
I need the nr to his stylist
Time to change that rear plate 😅
The steering wheel is on the wrong side!
Sorry but when you say heavy depreciation this is not true maybe a 17 plate would be around 40k but that is now 7 years old.so from new in my book thats not bad depreciation. My quadrifoglio is a 68 plate and still worth 44k .but my car will never be forsale .if you want depreciation please look at German garbage the bottom falls out of that garbage.
Depreciation is almost identical to the f80 m3 and c63 equivalents. 17 plate, 35k mile Alpha’s are asking around £30k on autotrader.
Bro change your thumbnail, the quality is really bad
Our finger slipped and uploaded the wrong one!
Jaguar FE S
🤣🤣
Were do you all reveiws get this heavy depreciation from if you want depreciation try looking at German garbage out there.my trofo white quadrifoglio has covered 24k its 68 plate still worth 45k .plus this person talking about this masterpiece it's his 1st alfa .but let's face it as usual it's only alfa with problems
Dont think it’s bad appreciation at all, but it’s a positive for many enthusiasts that cars like the Quad are more attainable now
What car did Graham just had before this?
Like us, the BMW E39 M5 !
