    Wow!! I’m impressed enough as it is with the used 2018 LE with 20k on it that I bought a year ago (just before the prices went up about $4k). It has the regular engine.
    I got 595 miles out of a tank on a vacation last Fall. 3 1/2 hr trip up, then back, plus drove around up there for three days. Filled it up the next day after we got back after going to work and doing other errands. I love it! I put about $500.00 into it with same spoiler as this one has, black plastic wheel skins, mud flaps, vent shades, window tint and remote start. It’s exactly the way I want it now and will last me a long long time.
    This is one awesome, though. One with AWD too would be the best 👍

    Nice car Jeff...
    It is 'funny' that my older 2007 Camry XLE has power passenger seats WITH lumbar.
    Too bad Toyota dropped that feature in the newer generations.
    Say, I was watching your older video on the 2021 Venza.
    You were stating that it was one of the vehicles you were considering for a new personal one.
    So I take it you did not go with the Venza?
    Why not? I believe you went with a Camry...Correct?
    So when are you getting a new personal vehicle again and are you going to go with a Venza this time?

  • @louislopez55
    @louislopez55 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I have a 2022 Camry Hybrid SE. I love this car, but I thought about what another buyer may not like about it so here you go:
    The seat is low, lower than previous Camry’s. The seating position is still good, I don’t feel like I’m sitting on the floor but it is a bit like trying to climb out of a wheelbarrow. I consider it “sporty”.
    It’s a long reach to the door handle from the front seats, as the doors open really far. Almost like a two-door coupe. And probably to not make the door handle even further away, the front window power switch is further forward than you think, I’m always opening the back window when all I want is the front open or closed.
    The glove box is small.
    The trunk is a little difficult to close with one hand when you’re also holding something, those springs are stiff. It does pop right open, however.
    I’ve gotten a low of 43mpg driving uphill at 75mph to Flagstaff, but I got 52 coming back, again at 75mph. In town I’m getting 52 to 60 on the trip computer, but it’s not summer yet so I’ll have to see how it does when it’s 110 F.
    I decided to change the oil the first time at 2,000 miles and my gas mileage instantly when up. I would have done it at 1,000 miles but the engine is off so much that I figured 2,000 would be better. What I love most about it, other than the gas mileage, is how quiet and smooth it is. But since it’s an SE it’s still somewhat firm, but never harsh or loud. Truly my dream car.

    • @richie259
      @richie259 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can't imagine needing to change the oil at 2k miles. That seems excessive. Was that a "you" thing or is that the recommendation?

    • @louislopez55
      @louislopez55 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@richie259 That is not an official Toyota recommendation. They say to wait until 10,000 miles. There is a master Toyota mechanic who has a TH-cam channel called The Car Care Nut. He recommends changing the oil (on a new car) at 1,000 miles. He actually just bought almost the same car I have, a 2022 Camry Hybrid XSE hybrid. Having owned 20 motorcycles in my life, often coming with the requirement to change the oil at 600 miles, I think it couldn’t hurt if you plan on keeping the car for well over 100,000 miles. I hope to do that.

    • @richie259
      @richie259 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@louislopez55 Yep, I've watched his stuff. So is it just the first 1000 miles for oil on a new car, and then longer after that? or *every* 1000 miles? Because I'd be changing the oil every month, lol.

    • @louislopez55
      @louislopez55 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@richie259 I will be changing the oil every 5,000 miles but on our current Highlander, our previous Highlander, and a previous Camry the oil still had a golden color at 5,000 miles. My old 2006 Ford Ranger with a 3.0 V-6 turns the oil black by 3500 miles. I change that every 4,000 miles, and I can tell the difference in engine smoothness immediately. I can’t tell in the Toyotas. I use Pennzoil Synthetic in the truck per an oil test I saw on Project Farm.

    • @aluisious
      @aluisious ปีที่แล้ว

      @@richie259 1k oil change is cheap maintenance to clear break in metal particles out of the engine.

    People told me I was stupid for buying a hybrid back then. I remembered the energy crisis back in the ‘70s. With gas prices being so high now they’re wishing they had hybrids. 😜
    I’ve been seriously thinking about trading in on a 2022 RAV4 Prime. Demand for plug-in hybrids being what they are now. I would be very happy with a lower priced Camry hybrid and the higher mileage!

    I test drove a used 2019 Camry XSE V6 today and the topic of hybrids and electric came up. The sales rep was trying to talk me into a Camry XSE Hybrid and how the hybrid is really fast. I searched for a review and it does 0-60 in 7.4 or 7.5 seconds compared to XSE V6 0-60 in 5.8 seconds. They had 2 new Camry XSE V6s but got me the pre-own. I ordered an XSE Hybrid in Ice Edge with the Driver Assist package back at the end of January. STILL WAITING JEFF! Ahhh! The wait is killing me.
    I hope it’s soon. My trade in loses value as the miles keep racking up on it.

      How long ago did you order it & how long did they quote you?

      @@jennifers8866 January 27th. Quoted 3-4 months. Latest update today was that they still have not seen ANY XSE with Drivers Assist package rolling off the line for months now.
