hello so i made this recipe and here are some tips: the flour is cake flour, when you're making the pancakes you can use high heat to make it warm but then turn it to extremely low heat (i used 3 out of 9 on my electric stove) otherwise it'll burn really easily. Don't take the time too seriously as shown in the video like 1minute 30 seconds because it's different for everyone the trick is just to see when the bubbles appear and you can check sometimes if it's golden brown. Also when boiling the adzuki beans add some extra water for the extra long simmering time because otherwise it'll dry out at around the 1 hour mark (at least that's what happend to me but i discovered it in time). The bean paste wasn't super sweet it was just the right amount so if you want it to be a little extra sweet add some more sugar. The ones i made turned out great and tasted even better than the ones i buy. Oh and btw if you're planning on making those watch doraemon while eating the dorayaki :D hope this helps
@@fauziahsaleh7490 Nope it isn't runny at all works just fine :) The first pancake always turns out a bit bad colourwise but the rest are fine :) Good luck!
@@fauziahsaleh7490 hmm i'm no cooking expert but I'm not sure it'd work if you're worried about the sweetness you could just add less sugar. In the bean paste at least the sugar is a key component just like in making marmelade. Without it it wouldn't turn into that fine paste in the pancake mixture i'm not sure lol. You should probably look it up if you really want to do it! Good luck!!
I just made it with my kids and it's super delicious!!! Mine came out a bit watery so I'd put less water next time. I loved the cream cheese filling too!

Thanks for the great recipe! Finally I can make the pancake I want. However, when the pancake set aside for few hours the texture becomes chewy and not soft. Does anyone encountered the same issue? Mind to share?

i don't think so because kidney beans are about twice as big as adzuki beans which means that it could be difficult to boil them soft in this period of time and may affect the recipe also adzuki beans tend to be sweeter than kidney beans so even if you manage to make the paste out of kidney beans it won't be as sweet and not taste like a real dorayaki. hope this helped !
haha lol no problem i made it today and trust me if you'd used kidney beans instead of adzuki beans it would be BITTER because it wasn't honestly that sweet it was like just the right amount of sweetness :)

母がどら焼きの「皮」が好きなので、こちらのレシピを参考に作ってみました‼️日本酒がなかったので、日本酒25gの代わりにみりん15gと水10gを入れて作りました😊

チーズクリームどら焼き作ってみました。皮を焼いている時から、日本の匂いがして懐かしくなりました。小麦粉はアメリカで売ってるall purpose flourを使ったらモチモチ美味しかったです。チーズクリームもコクがあるのにさっぱり目で美味しいです。
今度はもうちょっとフワフワにしたいので、薄力粉で作ってみます。

Hi there. Ths recipe using lots of water. I am afraid if its too runny! Do we need to reduced a little bit? Like, maybe 30grams instead of 50grams?
