    "Having a Go" has always been my moto in life! eg: I blew my diff up not long ago & couldn't find anyone to rebuild a replacement (I have always farmed that kind of work out) So I did some homework, ordered some parts & some special tools (mainly from the US) & built a Full Floater 14 bolt with air an locker, ratio change, a disc brake conversion & made it fit!! I have never looked back! Another great little video & full of encouragement! Great stuff!

    Just replaced the thermistor on my Waeco CFX65. $45 for parts and shipping and she’s back to new again. Always a good feeling repairing something yourself.

      Not wrong Jon, it’s a great feeling. A mate had a thermistor die on his as well and replaced it. On that occurrence, I bought one as well and had it in my spares kit. Cheers 👍😎

    Terry you have way more than average skills. Very good repair. When selecting a new fan look at the current consumption, if they are significantly different then often the air volume is also significantly different.

      That is very good advice mate and something I actually did do believe it or not! They were both 0.3amps it was just the blade number and pitch that was a little different. So far so good. I’ve had it running for a few weeks now, no problems to report. I appreciate you following along and taking the time to comment, that is very kind. Have a great weekend mate😎👍

      Awesome mate, video to come out on my ride sometime in the future, just a lot of heavy lifting in terms of editing to do. Cheers😎👍

    Impressive mechanical skills! Great job fixing fridge. I'm not sure I would have tackled that but you made it look easy.

      Thanks mate, I appreciate the kind words. I guess the moral of the story is have a go, you can always back out if it looks too big for you once you get into it. I’ve lost count on the number of failures I’ve had, but it’s nice when you get one right!😎👍

    Really enjoying your videos terry. Got a tip for you, with the old waecos the thermostats are so unreliable they actually fit 2 from the factory. If you ever see your temperature start to jump around say 4 to 16 to minus 7 and so on, pop off the access panel and have a look around for a plug not plugged into anything. Find the matching plug that is plugged in and swap it to the unused one. Problem solved! Unfortunately if the 2nd one fails it is a very big job to replace them. My second one eventually failed and fridge was sent to heaven. They go well the old cf80! Happy travels

      That’s a great tip Bradley, thanks for sharing mate. I’ll store that one in the memory banks! Cheers👍😎

    Well that’s all good and well Terry but, what I want you to talk about is the elephant in the room.
    Come on, you know what I mean, that work of art vehicle in the background.
    It looks amazing! Can you do a video on it please?? 👍

      Thanks for watching and commenting David, I really do appreciate it. You have a good eye mate, that is my 57 Bel Air 2 door H/Top. It was a frame off restoration that took me 8 years and untold dollars to complete. I have actually started a video on it already but it’s going to take a while because the footage was taken on old shitty cameras well before I ever started this channel. I’ll keep plugging away however, and it will get done eventually. If you keep a watch out Friday’s at 3pm AEST, that’s when my new content comes out. Have a great weekend mate😎👍

      Legend mate, good to see you are part of the “have a go club”. I’m working on a video on the Chev but that one will take a while of finish as there is big time editing involved. Thanks for watching Steve, cheers😎👍

    G’day mate, is that a CF-80? How have you found it in the back of the wagon?

    • @JafffaAdventures
      @JafffaAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It sure is mate. Great fridge, apart from this fan issue, never let me down. I’d buy another if they still sold them😎👍

      @@JafffaAdventures funny you mention that you’ll buy anther one. I’ve got the same model in the camper trailer and I’m currently designing and about to starting building draws myself for the back of our GU Patrol. Only fridge that worked dimension wise was the CF-80. I picked one up off Facebook market place for $600 in great used condition 🙂
