    • @glowineswitecakes
      @glowineswitecakes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much nma for watching, so if you are such a busy baker you can make your fondant 1 month month ahead a month plus, then store it without coloring then 2 days or even a night before the day you will cover your cake with the fondant then you can add your color, the longer the days you added your color to your fondant the more dark an brighter the color comes out in your fondant but I don't like my colored fondant staying more than a week.i hope this answers your questions wish you best in your fondant journey

    • @glowineswitecakes
      @glowineswitecakes  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Rositta for watching, you can actually store your fondant in a plastic container and your fondant can stay for for even 3 months without getting spoilt, especially when it's plain white fondant it's can't go bad so easily cause it's fully sugar and all items used to make it, is also sugar, so is best you make your fondant plain white store it without coloring then 4 or 5 days before using then color it your desired color and use, I hope this goes a long way to help your fondant journey 💯👍

      For 1kg of fondant you can cover an 8 inches cake with it, which is 2 pans 8 inches cake, that is about 5& half tall 8 inches cake, also two pans 6 inches cake & 7 inches as well, then for the 500grams recipe of fondant check the most recent video on my channel you will see it there I have the video and receipt for 500g fondant, I hope this be of help to you 🙂

    Thank you ma'am. Very well explained. Please can you mention if we can add some fat in the recipe? If yes then how much?

    • @glowineswitecakes
      @glowineswitecakes  ปีที่แล้ว

      No I didn't add any fat during the preparation process but I rounded up the massage process with a little baking shortening, I don't add any fat at the preparation process so that if my weather changes then my fondant won't have to be ruined. With this method you can carefully know the amount you need in your fondant after a day or two when you will be making use of your fondant

  • @sabbathkpogha772

    Thank you for this tutorial. Pls can Tylose powder be substituted with CMC?

    • @glowineswitecakes
      @glowineswitecakes  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @sabbath yes Tylose Powder and CMC does same work,but I prefer tylose powder cause is more reliable, I really don't know if cmc is of different brands, just like tylose powder have different company products which I have tasted three different types and there's one out of the three I much prefer is smaller and more expensive but is very much reliable especially during heat season, so when you go for cmc try and ask of a very good quality one if they're different brands. Thank you for watching the video good luck on your fondant making

    • @glowineswitecakes
      @glowineswitecakes  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Recipe for 1500kg icing sugar,
      Gelatin powder 1&half teaspoon
      Water. 1/4cup+ 2tablebspoons
      Glucose syrup 10 tablespoons
      Glycerin 1tablespoon
      Icing sugar 1.5kg
      Tylose powder for a super hot weather consider using 3&half tablespoons of Tylose powder or c.m.c, for cold winter season 2tablespoons is okay, so now you see the change of weather dethermins the measurements of your Tylose powder or c.m.c and bear in mind that the measurement of your icing sugar will differ as well especially during that hot season your fondant tends to accommodate more icing sugar during heat season than cold frezy weather, so aside your 1.5kg icing sugar make sure you keep aside 1cup Incase, then when we talk about hot&cold weather for fondant is also good to consider our crumbcoating, during the cold season fondant can actually be merciful, you can leave your crumbcoated cake in the fridge even 5 hours or overnight and cover it the next morning with fondant, your buttercream can be light and it will still be ok if you cover your fondant on it, but you see in hot or humid season you dare not, let assume you bake your cake 2 days or 3 days ahead of your order keep them in the freezer or fridge then you must bring them out overnight in the counter or chiller to defrost that's for the both weather anyway, then for your buttercream is good you make it abit thick during hot weather and after crumbcoating your cake do not leave it to chill in the fridge for more thank 2 hours if your fridge is working so well 2hours is perfect then take the cake out and cover with your fondant, ganache is also another great crumblecoat for fondant for weather. I wish you success in your fondant journey

    • @glowineswitecakes
      @glowineswitecakes  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      First tylose powder is totally different from crisco, tylose powder is as the same as cmc so you can go for cmc if you can't find tylose powder, just make sure to buy the best cmc brand 👍 then crisco is a baking shortening which is just like a Vaseline but it's an edible one which we use to keep fondant moisturized

      O yes there're both same thing, but go for the most best of it either cmc or tylose powder,when you want to buy go for best quality for more reliable result. Thank you for watching the video

    Please at d end u said u will live it to rest for two day before working with it ,so am asking can't I use it and cover my cake immediately and if am covering immediately do I need to use baking shortening to massage the fondant too

    • @glowineswitecakes
      @glowineswitecakes  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching Francisca, to your question yes you can use it to cover your like after 2 to 3 hours of making it, but it have to be on white no addition of color, adding color to it and using it that same day won't be a good idea it will definitely sweat especially if it a humid season, then for baking shortening yes you can use baking shortening to massage it but it's not a most, baking shortening helps make our fondant to be more workable, but be conscious when using it so you don't over add it to your fondant especially during heat season, I will advise not to use it at all during that heat period

      Thank you for watching @Jemiseyebukola4736 it can be kept in the fridge not freezer, but it have to be well wrapped with a plastic bag to prevent any water penetration, and even with fridge your fondant van stay in a calm room temperature for 2months plus.

    Please is it for all weather, and whats the purpose of tylous powered?

    • @glowineswitecakes
      @glowineswitecakes  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes this fondant recipe is for all weather, alittle tip for you, during the rainy season make your fondants ready like a week ahead or even weeks ahead store them if you need to color anyone for your cake work, do that atleast 2 days ahead of the work, fondant can be very hard to deal with during the rainy season, fondant sweats alot this period but with this method you will have less stress, and during this season cover your cake with more tick fondant and best method to go is parnell,
      Then Tylose Powder is also another product as c.m.c so either cmc or tylose powder there are made for same purpose but when buying any of them beg the shop to sale the best brand to you for more reliable fondant 👍 wishing you success in your fondant journey
