    I just came here to say anything you lay your hands on will prosper, see I was so scared because my last fondant cake was just tearing up and I say let me try again, ma at some point I was confused of your measurements because I want to reduce mine to 1.5kg but I followed your recipe and it worked well. I used CMC instead of tylose and it was a little bit hard but I added vegetable shortening and the fondant was fondating. You are good and may you never lack anything in life. You don't know what you did for me today but I pray anywhere your offsprings are they will be favoured. Thank you thank you so much. (You can use cornstarch to roll when you are ready to use it, makes it works very fine)

      Thank you for watching, the fondant can last as long as 4 months hence you leave it white then colour it when needed, colour like 3 days or 2 days ahead, your fondant don't need refrigerator just tie it up with a plastic bag and place in a tight container that's all.

    Please why should fondant be kept for a while before using

    • @glowineswitecakes
      @glowineswitecakes  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You can actually use your fondant immediately after making it but it may end up sweating if you use it in the humid season so is better to let it stay for some days so the fondant can be dried because after making fondant newly it still feels wet, so that's it

    Could I use this fondant to make figures for cake toppers and place the cake with the topper in the fridge without the fondant melting?

    • @glowineswitecakes
      @glowineswitecakes  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You can make fondant figures with this fondant recipe depending on your weather, if you are in the rainy season in your base I don't advice you to use it rather go for paper topper, then placing it in the fridge also depends on your weather too, but don't place figures in the fridge is not adviceable, it might work during December dry weather season but after that period and season please don't try it your figure will surely melt. Hello thank you for your recipe, how many kgs of fodant does 500gm of icing sugar make and I am using cmc is it still fine? I don't have the tylas pwd...and I want to make a fodant for Saturdays cake will it still work.? Thank you

    • @glowineswitecakes
      @glowineswitecakes  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      500g of icing sugar is not upto 1kg, so 500g is below, 1kg is = 1,000 kilograms hope you understand now, so making 500g of icing sugar will not make any kg
      And 500g of fondant can only cover a 6*6 inches cake that is 6 inches round cake and 6 inches tall, cmc is also good as tylose powder just tell your cake stor to give you the best brand of cmc they have, and making your fondant as early as now is better against Saturday.

    • @glowineswitecakes
      @glowineswitecakes  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      By Saturday you might get your fondant abit hard to massage don't panic just use a knife and cut it bit by bit then massage it gradually till it becomes very elastic you can also touch your hands with little water while massaging it👍 wishing you luck in your fondant journey 😊 fell free to ask any question concerning fondant

      @@glowineswitecakes do you cover your cakes with this fondant? What is difference between sugar paste and fondant?

    • @glowineswitecakes
      @glowineswitecakes  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@SweetTreatsLahoreok they're different types of sugar paste 1 is egg white fondant or ganache fondant, marshmallow fondant, gelatin fondant, believe me all this are sugar paste, but what bakers specifically calls sugar paste is, sugar paste for flower making or for moulding things, which the 2 paste used for mouldings are ganache paste which is ganache fondant or egg white fondant or you call it gum paste, you can cover your cake with all of this paste all, but when you want to turn it to a flower moulding paste then the consistency changes, that is where the difference comes in.

      Tylose powder or c.m.c 2&half tablespoons depending on the weather of your base, use 3&half if your weather is humidity which is always during the raining season.

    Can fondant be stored in the freezer?

    • @glowineswitecakes
      @glowineswitecakes  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes but not directly freezer or fridge, if you must store your fondant in a refrigerator then keep it in a vegetable area that part where things can't get over cold or frozen but are always cool and fresh, but then why refrigerate when your fondant can actually last 3-4 months outside just wrap your fondant with a clean plastic bag wrap very tight and avoid air penetration then keep in a tight container that's all, just bring out and color if needed like 3-2 days interval.
