      Consider taking Turmeric (Curcumin w/black pepper) to help alleviate the depression. Won’t say it’s a cure, but thankfully it worked for me. As for the acne, consider using castile soap such as Dr. Woods brand. My acne was bad, and nothing worked until I went that route. I wish you all the best!

    I lived as a homeless addict for a decade and when I was spanging on the sidewalk, the most demeaning, annihilating, animalistic experience is exactly as he says: to be unacknowledged. Money was great, but the most vital necessity for all human beings is to be at the very least, acknowledged as a fellow human being.

    26. Been through the song and dance of watching videos to help motivate me to get my life together. Nothing was more important than perfecting the art of loving myself. And now the part that feels like is going to take me to the next level is respecting myself. The main priorities.

    The worse thing to happen to Me when I was out there was for a person not to speak to me, not to acknowledge Me. Even after I looked them in the eye and I tried to be as polite as I can and they just walked right past Me. That one Hit Me, cause LORD knows I've done that far too many times to homeless people 😪 😔. I need to work on that one man, cause there's no telling who they once were and how they ended up in the streets.

    This really touched me. I have no idea what it’s like to be homeless but this story reminds me of when I was psychotic and made the decision to be homeless. I spent the whole day looking for my new shelter. Luckily it rained and I knew I wouldn’t make it, I mean I was already injured having to go for physio so even in my mentally ill state i knew deep down I won’t be able to survive. This could have been me just with no help😭💔. Thank God for that rain on a sunny day

I hope we give people second chances and still learn our boundaries. ❤ he’s a strong man and as soon as he mentioned that the homeless man was him, I cried. Im living it rn but I'm in and out of realisation and then relapsing.
    Paying it forward is important. It not only to take the focus off yourself but makes you notice how desperately others are actually trying to help you. We all have demons and good deeds are hard to do. When someone has asked about you, don't think negative thoughts. Take what help they are trying to offer and pay it forward. Talk about what you heard. Use the skill you learnt from them. Breakthroughs will happen often but the frame of mind at the time of the awakening is paramount. I hope and pray you find a way out of the darkness. You are infinitely bigger than what you imagine.

    Nah I’m 18 dealing with all of this bs. Planning my whole life already etc… dealing with all this anxiety bs. I need advices from adults about self respect. Personally I workout and do the best out of each day but I constantly push to do more. I NEED to know how you guys learned to have self confidence along with self respect, not an illusion, just no doubt in yourself ever. How do you reach that point ? What steps did you take in order to get there ?

    • @marty.l
      @marty.l ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Learn as much as you can about self esteem, self love, self worth, self image being on TH-cam, library, online, internet. Work on it everyday for the rest of your life. Work from inside out meaning your inner core being spirit, mind, heart before you work on the outside or outside in which is what most of society does outside in and they remain unhappy because they focus on the outside like if only I had this much money, power, fame, looks, body, posessions, car, house, plane, yacht, etc, I will be happy. I will tell you this will still lead to unhappiness, self doubt, fear, self hate, or numbness which is what most ppl feel, desensitized because that how they are coping with pain and difficulty, they shut down feelings. if you cannot practice self love, self worth, self honor, self respect, none of that matters.

    As someone who has battled addiction for 10+ years and now has 5 years sober, I think it's a horrible idea to have someone up there speaking who has just been discharged from rehab and probably only has a couple of months sober. There's a reason AA speaker meetings require someone to be at least a year or 2 sober to speak at those meetings. I don't wish it on anyone, but it's more likely a person only 3 weeks out of rehab will relapse rather than make it to a year of sobriety. I wish him the best but think it's a little ridiculous that he's up there talking as if he's been sober for years.

      @@someonesomeone25 yeah, most of the time one finds himself in such a position where he can't even influence his external world let alone change it, in reasonable time, but come on, the least one can do is change an attitude towards the word and towards himself. Before changing the world, chagne yourself, or better work on yourself.
      We can't chose our external circumstances but we can chose our response to them. So start from your attitudes, and be attentive.

      You lack self respect? Yeah, how about you take the responsibilty to be and behave like a respectable person? Pursue the highest values you're mind is capable of concieving, be truthful toward others and yourself first of all or at least don't lie.
