Had A.D.H.D my entire life the biggest life change for me that reversed the symptoms was doing away with vegetable oils and processed food. Was put on black coffee at age 5 to calm me down. 6 months after doing away with vegetable oils and processed food coffee for the first time in my life gave me a caffeine buzz i was bouncing off the walls. I just use clarified butter in cooking abd even put it in my coffee. Balance of omega-6 and omega-3 is the key to real health change.
@OceanFrontVilla3 all oils seed and vegetable.I dont know about the affects of the lower omega-6 oils. Ghee is my go to choice. I feel so good I no longer have the arthritis that was flaring up so I just don't take the chance. A life long of addiction that was tied to adhd which is a dopamine imbalance. Gotta wonder how many other dopamine related conditions can be helped. Keeping a close 4:1 to a 1:1 ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 is the key.

My chiropractor suggested eating beets. I love beets so daily ate some beets or had a moderate amount of beet juice for several months. Worked great. I would suggest others try this and see how it works for you.
Nice summation. I am in good health and hope to continue, as such my emphasis is to combat inflation (particularly arterial inflammation) and insulin resistance. My daily supplements are baby aspirin (81), K2 D3, Berberine (1200), Fish oil (omega 3), Zinc and Magnesium. That and a 4-5 mile bike ride and laps in the pool everyday but I am going to try resting a day in between to see if it works out. The first point of attack is to reduce the insulin resistance, I measure my blood glucose to see if I can reduce the cycle range from 65-130 (fasting to eating) to 65-110. Sadly, I have almost given up all high sugar and flower foods like pastries, donuts and so on. Takes time to adjust, but getting use to it and can ignore temptations now. Is there a better home test that I can use to measure insulin resistance? Inflammation testing, not sure how to measure, any information is much appreciated.

You mentioned choline supplementation. Well I am open to supplements that can help my fatty liver condition I should note that I almost died from pulmonary embolism caused by conversion of choline into tmao.
I have fatty liver and I'm currently on a keto/carnivore type diet to target reductions in my fasting insulin and AST/ALT measures. Regarding supplements to speed that process, recent research has targeted several supplements such as Turmeric/Curcumin as potentially causing liver damage. Now, I'm thinking that curcumin has also shown many benefits on other studies, so to mitigate potential issues, I'm reducing its dosage, but not eliminating it. Some of these supplements come in very large doses, and I suspect our bodies were never designed to metabolize that much of a given nutrient or herb. Less can be more. The fact that these are beneficial doesn't mean you can't overwhelm liver function, and most supplement formulations seem to be based on more is better. Along with a keto type diet, I think including but not overusing these nutrients is an appropriate approach.
Great video doc! I have NAFLD and am currently taking all the supplements you've mentioned, but I've also discovered Amla powder (or Indian Gooseberry) Are you familiar with any of its studies on liver health?
Here is my issue as an academic, health professional and someone who recently had some elevated liver enzymes as well as gallbladder stones/sludge. So, being an academic in health field, I went online reading everything I could find about slightly elevated enzymes and just didn't come to any positive conclusion. Specialists, medical specialists advice more protein, no processed foods, no sugar and fruits, not legumes etc. Others, suggest legumes and cheese, turmeric etc., etc.. I looked up scientific literature in the last 5 years and unpaid research is inconclusive. So, as on all matters medical, what are people to believe? So confusing.
Finally, a TH-cam doc that shares science-backed data and not just claims, thank you!

I started milk thistle and dandelion root at the same time, and the lecithin is sunflower, they make a milk thistle dandelion root capsule. I take 6 a day
@@codenameviper850
I guess what ever I am taking must be working, my numbers are pretty good
@@zacharyshort384soy, not good!
Would like to hear your thoughts on TUDCA.
Thank you Doc! You are the best!
Berberine worked well for me, it seemed to kickstart my metabolism, I lost 16kg, I take it with milk thistle and coconut oil.
Trailing zinc carostine to help with gut issues
Might try this one
Thanks, I agree with most of this except for some reason both Berberine and Milk Thistle make me feel sick. I tried different brands a few times but those two just don't agree with me.
Ah, merci de témoigner de cela. Moi aussi, ça m’a rendue terriblement malade. Nausées, coliques, diarrhée… obligée d’abandonner 😢
L_glutamine should not be taken if you have a fatty liver??
I reversed fatty liver (enzyme level 150 down to 55) with a careful diet and drinking mineral water with added burdock root/milk thistle/dandelion extracts (tincture) over about 5 months
You couldve done that in 10 days strict keto, just sayin.
What about apple cider and vinegar. Anything regarding ph and liver health? Also, b12, folic acid and vit c?
I watched dr. Berg video on taking a diluted tablespoon of ACV when feel8ng hungry to settle down that grehlin hormones, hunger hormone.
My chiropractor suggested eating beets. I love beets so daily ate some beets or had a moderate amount of beet juice for several months. Worked great. I would suggest others try this and see how it works for you.
Beets can give you kidney stones, just be careful
@@tinawestbrook6359 How do you prepare beets? Boil?
@eeodeguzman you can boil or roast them. In USA we also can get canned beets (drink the liquid also) or V8 has a beet carrot juice drink.
@@tinawestbrook6359 Thanks much for your reply. 😊
Is Naturelo multivitamin good for the liver?
Are u diabetic
@ No, my glucose levels are normal luckily.
thx for the info doc.. btw, is it ok to take glutathione if you have NAFL?
Beets Organic, organic pickles! Sauerkraut! Flaxseed oil organic capsules 2000 mg a day!
And drink lots of coffee! Natural defense for fatty liver! 3 cups min per day! No sugar!!! The coffee bean does miracles! For brain, liver, kidneys, etc!
Yes whole foods instead of supplements. Beets pomegranates, fermented foods & teas like oolong and puer along with water are great.
Flaxseed oil is garbage.
I am taking Liver Support with Milk Thistle from VitaminShoppe. Besides Milk Thistle, it also has Dandelion, Calcium, Inositol, and Phosphatidylcholine. No idea what the last two is. My liver enzymes are elevated so I am hoping this formula helps. I like the video and i am definitely going to look at adding a few of these, including my diet.
Very informative video. And very handsome guy too. Thanks a lot, Doc!
Thank you!
Thank you!!!❤❤❤
What about fatty liver after gall bladder surgery ? Especially when you cannot digest properly due to ibs diarrhea
Oxbile
Milk thistle?
i made a separate video on that
Thank you so much😊
Hi Dr. have you heard of Tudca? Is this a good supplement for fatty liver disease? Also can eating grapes be beneficial?
Thank you 🥰
So, is turmeric pills good
I like your video is short and to the point. Too many podcasts way too long.
Great brands= Thorne, Pure Encapsulations, Jarrow, and Naturelo.
Great brands yea sure great that they have a hell of an over percentage of what your body needs, wants plus other crap. Have to do more research on that lol.
Dr. Kim, THANK YOU you for all the NAFLD information in multiple videos. As you know, many OTC medications can cause false-positives for common drug tests. Do you happen to know if any of the downstream metabolites of berberine might cause such false positives?
Hi Dr. do I have to take all this vitamins?
Dr can u share a video on gallbladder stones pls..on how it can break
How about Chlorella? is it good for the fatty liver? thank you
What is milk thr??? ( dont know the word) but hear it often to help liver.
Chardon marie, milk thistle, peut-être. Plante pour le foie.
Just stop eating sugar and fruit. I reversed NAFLD in six months going carnivore. Also reversed T2D and congestive heart failure.
Fruit isn't bad for you
The sugar in fruit is VERY harmful to those with T2 diabetes.@@robinharris0562
Did you blow your kidneys or gallbladder out ?
@@robinharris0562 Fruit can be problematic... depends on the fruit. Grapes are just sugar bombs. Go for whole fruits that have good fiber content.
Carnivore: no fiber? Makes no sense.
“A carnivore diet, which is high in animal protein, can increase the risk of fatty liver disease, especially for people who are already overweight or elderly.” Ncbi
Thank you once again Dr Omole on TH-cam for this information. Since following you (for some years now), my kidney stage results has decrease from stage 3 to stage 1!!.You saved me from dialysis. Thank you and please keep the videos coming!! God Bless...
You mentioned choline supplementation. Well I am open to supplements that can help my fatty liver condition I should note that I almost died from pulmonary embolism caused by conversion of choline into tmao.
which is better Phosphatidylcholine or choline?
Moderation is the key, be it anything.
Then tell your liver to exercise.
So, In the nutshell what supplement should you take that has all these wonderful ingredient that you took time to explain? Thank you
Great video doc! I have NAFLD and am currently taking all the supplements you've mentioned, but I've also discovered Amla powder (or Indian Gooseberry) Are you familiar with any of its studies on liver health?
How about the phospolipids
How come everytime there are only small trails and limited research available for these low cost options for very common diseases?
unfortunately no money to be made on these for big pharma, so no incentive
He Doc I'm going through a series of stomach Meds including colestyra mine 85 mg№
Which strains of probiotics?? There are so many.
Some say that not eating carbs for a couple days can clean liver.
Try what's recommended here in this doctor's video and find out for yourself.
I take Factor 4 from Livegood. It has most of the supplements stated in this video in one pill.
Hi doc glutathione it will help fatty liver????
