And to think.... they made Godzilla -1 disappear to prop this crap-fest up. That may be typical for a hopelessly corrupt and intellectually dead-from-the-neck-up, but it is also how the establishment goes down in flames.
It’s not that deep but woulda been a better movie all around with sum changes. Thus warranting the criticism 🤨 sorry sum ppl want an actual film over a two hour line for ten minutes of enjoyable screen time 🙄
@NoU-pf8fc you know what's fun? Movies like Winter Soldier. It had moments where it didn't take itself seriously but it also had moments that set it up to be one of the best spy thriller movies in the last 2 decades. It's about quality If you want your movies to have "campy" tones and low effort acting then fine, you do you. Just don't be surprised when Hollywood uses you to justify low standards
@@orest7026 There really wasn't a balance in that one... This just gave us more of what that film did just on steroids. Both films have the little girl and science lady as the "emotional drive" and are the only aspect that could be considered "serious."

For real. But I do enjoy seeing these stuck up video essayists embarrasse the hell out of theirselves by saying the most dumpster fire opinions on the Godzilla Franchise. 🤣
@@ParkRanger2000 Most people don't really realize that before any Kaiju movie? there was godzilla, that's him. He can either destroy japan, or be earth's protector, Either way he is still the king of the monsters no matter what
1. Ignores the movie's opening that expresses Kong's longing for others of his kind in Hollow Earth. 2. Yes, the tooth subplot introduces a main character. But it also shows Kong's trust in humans and their symbiotic relationship. Skar king uses the tooth to make fun and outcast Kong in Hollow Earth. 3. Haircuts are part of your criticism? 4. They called in a veterinarian who has experience with these titans to help take care of Kong, who did you want them to call? 5. Kong has bonded with Jia. I doubt Kong would be willing to talk to just anybody who knows sign language. 6. Ignores Jia telling her newly adopted mom how she doesn't fit in in her new life- which leads into her mom suspecting she'd want to stay in Hollow Earth where she is shown to be fitting in. 7. Kong and Suko kill and eat food together? You meant to say Suko shows off his intellect by attempting to kill Kong and get away, but Kong constantly overcomes and attempts to build trust with him. And at this point this wasn't even shown purely to build a relationship, Kong used Suko to find his way to others of his kind. You're really nitpicking for criticisms here and shielding it with the "I love the old goofy Godzilla movies, but this is too far" trope.
1. When I watch back, I have sympathy to Kong as he is wonder the Hollow Earth alone hoping to find his kind somewhere in the hills and valleys. 2. Kong find Suko and forced him to find the leader of the apes that ambush him and Suko truly used his mischift to trick Kong and ran away. What makes me intresting is how Kong not abused Suko once he fought the serpent he just like "Go Boy". Yes he did "abused" Suko as a melee weapon once. But it begins to show Suko looked Kong as a great father he wants. 3. Skar King displays many reference when I watch, he is Lord Shen and Koba. Ruthless and violent dictator to the other kong species. 4. Dr Andrews and Jia had a good bond and understand Jia could not fit in with the modern world. Trapper even advice to Bernie where want to share with the world to fix his reputation, its better let the Iwi lived their ways and never expose it. What happend to the people of Skull Island is because of humans from the outside world came in like APEX building their station and Monarch. Causing their people extincion left Jia witch include Ghidorah storm and Kamazos. Worst, world governments wanted to take over Hollow Earth and the multibillion cooperations to exploit Hollow Earth resources like in the comics Godzilla x Kong: The Hunted where Raymond hunt small titans as their trophy. The movie has good topic if you can listen their conversation or the titans body language and expresion. While Planet of the Apes have conversation like humans or Disney's Lion King remake using real animals but has no facial expression. This has a right tone that using body language and facial expresion without dialogs and its up to us the audience to understand it. As a bonus point from me, some scene has a meme potencial too. 😂

Guess what? A movie doesn’t just have to be “fun” to be good. “Fun” is one of the many things that actually make a movie good, but when your movie only accomplishes “fun”, it’s safe to say that your movie sucks.
I mean the title is GodzillaXKong. What did you anticipate? A gripping philosophical exploration of existential dread? A riveting courtroom drama where Kong cross-examines Godzilla on the stand? It's not a film that aims to unravel the mysteries of the universe. It's designed to thrill and entertain. Which it does.
Pacific Rim and damn Puss in Boots 2 managed to have something like that. Big Mechs vs Big Mons and Zorro Cat manage to be deeper than GvK and GxK Having silly concepts and being entertaining does'nt mean that it's ok to be incompetent And also I'm talking about "deep" but it's not the only problems with GvK and GxK
I’m genuinely curious what people expect from these movies? It’s exactly what it’s meant to be and made for fans. It’s on a completely different plain of existence from Godzilla minus one so even comparing them is ridiculous.
@@matteomastrodomenico1231 would you watch this one again? I would actually pay money to watch the showa films in a theater. can't say the same for this trash.
I love how we have the heavy, realistic, and symbolic godzilla, and the wrestlemania of kaiju in the span of 6 months. It’s the best of both words for godzilla
This was one of those movies you really gotta temper your expectations with, especially coming off the success of Minus One because it will definitely not achieve the same heights. Is KxG stupid, nonsensical and do the human characters suck and are mediocrely written? Yeah. But the monster throwdowns were sick and I got to see Godzilla suplex kong so that alone was worth it for me. This was basically a dumb popcorn movie to watch with your friends while you’re housing down some snacks and it succeeded in that.
I may be in the monitority, but I liked the human characters; Dan Stevens' discount Peter Quil/Kaiju veterinarian, especially. The little girl brings enough emotion, just like the last film. Alex Jo- ..I mean...the podcast guy is still funny. This one actually had the most enjoyable human moments in the franchise, besides maybe John C. Reily in Skull Island.
But a “dumb popcorn flick to watch with your friends” does not mean it has to be a “bad” movie. Would you consider Kung Fu Panda as something to watch with friends. I would, and the fact of the matter is that while the premise is inherently dumb (That being about a Panda learning Kung Fu) the movie is treated with respect and people put work in to it so as to make it both compelling visually, and narratively. What did Godzilla 2014 do? It gave respect to Godzilla and made him a force of Nature. They made it so that while Godzilla is a result of Nuclear Testing, the Muto were the result of Strip Mining, and arguably worse industry. They gave the creature weight, and while we were blue balled for the majority of the film, when the King finally showed up, it was amazing. Kong Skull Island. Payed Homage to the original King Kong while also reinventing old ideas and making them work within the new “Monsterverse”. They respected not only the history of Kong, but his character, and from there, they also respected the characters in the film, which is the best character wise. I was actually cheering for each and every one of them. Godzilla King of the Monsters. Each major monster gets at least one scene to show off just how cool, awesome, and otherwise, amazing they were. Mothra got the Waterfall, Cloudburst, and Sacrifice. Rodan had his Dogfight. Ghidorah had his many fights with Godzilla and his Alpha Call, while Godzilla had his Fights with Ghidorah, and his Burning form. Each time, they payed homage to the past, while respecting the monsters as they are now. Furthermore, they also respected the characters within the film, whether they were good or not. Serizawa and his sacrifice was one of the best scenes ever, not because it was beautiful or cool looking, or any number of things that it was and wasn’t. The scene was great because it showed a man coming to peace with his demons, while respecting the power that had come from it. GvK My least Favorite film out of the ones listed, yet I can still respect it. King and Godzilla are given a good match that does not feel like a cop out. While Mecha goes down a bit to easily and a bit to quick for my taste, I can understand why. Otherwise, they did a decent job with the monsters. GxK. What does it do to respect what came before and what is to come. Did it treat the monsters less like action heroes, and more like forces of nature and characters with their own desires and wants. Was there some grand standing, greater implication for the rest of the universe. Did it do anything to progress the story. No
@@barstool9156Dude I love Godzilla, but acting like “respecting what came before” is a big part of the franchise is just ridiculous. 80% of Godzilla movies are mindless dumb fun cash grabs with little regard for the most basic continuity, let alone “what came before”. Heck if you want to look at it that way GxK pretty much paid perfect tribute to previous Godzilla films as it was a big dumb cheesy fun movie.
@@thedukeofchutney468 but Monsterverse is not just any part of the franchise, is it? Everything single film bar GxK at minimum did something that portrayed the Monsters in a way that was “respectful” (I use the word loosely as it’s the closes synonym for what I am trying to say) to what the monsters were. These characters do have a history. Should we pay no mind to those histories, and leave them to fall back into random fan cults and theorists. How many Americans before 2014 had seen a Godzilla Movie. How many of those had seen a Japanese Godzilla film. Should we ignore the history of Godzilla in favor of making a “more appealing film” that fits a more American narrative. Should we have Godzilla look more like a Dinosaur and run from the military. We get what Tristar made when we don’t try to “respect” or even acknowledge the past. If we treat the character as separate from where they came from, how can we expect the character to remain what makes them “them”? You might say that the film being campy was the best way to ode to the past, but I would argue that GvK and KotMs did a much better job at that. Skull Island did a great job too as it brought forward “Skull Island” and other ideas, characterizations, and elements from the previous films.
Yeah, that's the point dude. The whole crowd I was with didn't come for Minus One we came for big monke and big lizard fighting other big monke and big lizard.
Except the big monkey and big lizard fights still sucked. Compare the fights in this one to those from GvK or King of the Monsters. Those had a sense of scale, they felt awesome. Here the camera was always way too close to everything so you couldn’t get a sense of scale. And the editing was distractingly hyperactive, it felt like the editor made it while working on a diet of cocaine and Red Bull.

It means does that work within their world that’s how I look at every piece of media. If it’s not a nonfiction story, I’m not gonna judge on that. as long as it’s within its movie, it’s good enough for me.

You people really need to take off your nostalgia goggles and understand a few things. 1) Just because Toho made it doesn't mean it's automatically good. Quite a lot of their movies were shit. 2) The thing that makes a film good is the storytelling aspect, not senseless action. Deal with it. 3) You're free to like whatever you like, but don't pretend that shit like this is good cinema. It's not.
These big Kauji Monsterverse movies tend to be poorly written, but at the very least they don’t pretend to try to be anything more than what they are. They know *exactly* what they are and they embrace it. Besides, the monsters themselves tend to have more care put into them than the actual story.
Unlike Doktor Skipper, this guy actually provided evidence that wasn’t just “AmErIcA dOeSnT uNdErStAnD gOdZiLlA” and go on about how Godzilla is specifically meant to be a villain (obviously not true) But none of that at all excuses this film from being complete slop in comparison to the prior films. Just because someone doesn’t want a film to be utter slop, doesn’t mean they want it to be a masterpiece. All you’re doing is creating a massive false dichotomy. If you actually watched the video, you’d see that this guy genuinely liked GvK, as did I, and that’s because that movie was genuinely good even if it was fun and a little silly at times. GxK just feels like it was forced into the MonsterVerse timeline, and none of it even remotely feels important at all. Plus, it doesn’t help that the CGI was pretty rough at times which breaks the immersion completely.

Genuinely, I've never felt this much like a kid watching a kaiju movie since Godzilla King Of The Monsters 5 years ago. And frankly, it's a feeling that has been sorely missed. Frankly, this coming out almost immediately after Godzilla Minus One is a testament to how well loved and just how versatile Godzilla and kaiju in general has been. Both films were birthed out of a passion for the character and a love for the Showa Era, but take two completely different approaches. And frankly, I love it. Also, sidenote, since Godzilla x Kong is more of a Kong focused movie, it's more in line with King Kong than it is with Godzilla, serving as a fun romp for people to get away from their struggles. I.E.: Escapism. Ya ever watch any of the King Kong Tv Shows or King Kong Escapes? This is more in line with that.

I left this on other posts but For me personally I’d give the movie a 6/10. I still enjoyed it and the fights were pretty cool to watch but it feels like it takes the issues of GvK and kinda amplifies them by a ton. Human characters aside from Jia feel like plot devices to push the story forward, the movie is incredibly fast paced so there isn’t a lot of time to savor a lot of moments, vfx wise while not terrible feels somewhat like a downgrade to what we got previously, and godzilla doesn’t really get as much development as Kong does in this film. Huge issue is that I think they leaned into their showa roots a little too much in this movie Imao. Imo the whole Showa vibe just doesn’t really work with the MV when u look at how it started vs how it’s going. I don’t mind dumb fun but I think they went a little overboard with this film lol. I think if they leaned into their heisei roots kinda like how Kotm did I think it would’ve been a little better. Overall I still had fun with it but I think it would’ve been better if this was a King Kong movie instead of a crossover film
But then again, the 1954 movie is somehow connected to movies like Son of Godzilla and Ebirah horror of the deep which is a film where Godzilla gained electricity powers and plays volleyball with a giant lobster.
@@Nightlizard1564 actually, the 1954 film has been a part of like four different continuities. So somehow, if it is not a part of the Showa era it's still connected to the Heisie, Millenium and Final Wars timeline with no inconsistencies whatsoever...

The moment the small monkey brings kong his axe from under. Full circle character development. Bravo directors my emotions was in the movie. It was awesome
1. The tooth ache plot device: well I thought it did well to show the contrast in how Kong’s relationship with humans has changed from Godzilla Vs Kong to now. Homie went from held in captivity and chains to willingly going and listening. 2. We thought we knew of all animals on the surface: well yeah they’re talking about the crust layer of the earth but that sounds dumb to say because now there’s a another layers beneath the surface. I feel like this one’s pretty self explanatory. 3. Over the top cartoony action and colors: I mean it’s a movie about two kaiju duking it out and teaming. I feel like if it was “realistic” it would be very bland and fights wouldn’t be as hype. 4 comedy podcast guy: yeah he really didn’t need to be in the movie 5 pilot dying: they literally go to contact monarch about the situation and evacuate. But the girl then then tells them they’re close so they go on instead. Did he need to die no, was it dumb they continue on yeah. 6 they attack Godzilla: I mean he is going for a nuclear plant and it’s unclear what a giant kaiju plans to do. But once they figure out he’s absorbing it they just monitor what’s he’s doing/where’s he’s going. I think it’s understandable that they would retaliate in some way when your nuclear facility is being attacked in anyway rather then bending over even if it’s Godzilla. I could go on but can’t be asked when takes r this bad.
ME: "I am going to see it." Movie Cynic: "There is a scene where a monkey beats other monkeys by using a baby monkey as a billy club...." ME: "I already said I am going to see it, you don't have to sell me on it."
I definitely think this movie is a step down from GvK. Kong is the only one with a meaningful arc in this move almost like it's a Kong movie rather than Godzilla's as well. Stakes were non existent and people even predicted what would happen in the end because almost every scene was revealed in tv spots and trailers. 6/10 for me and thats generous, this movie seems more for children now than ever. I still respect this movie for what it is tho a spectacle that you enjoy and not think about too much after you leave the theater.
Actually, I felt pretty good about the movie after it ended. Threat neutralized. Shimo freed and on the good guy side. Kong has a new family. Gojira goes into a deep sleep...ready to kick anyone's @$$ who dares to threaten the earth. The world is safe...for now. Excellent ending.

I'm so happy this movie is doing well, people like you were complaining not too long ago that its okay to have a dumb fun action movie and when you get one you complain just so you can ride the coattails of Minus one purely for culture war reasons and not out of passion for the series for click bait. Toho won, Legendary won, Kong and Godzilla fans won, no fun allowed people lost and thank god for that.
American Godzilla is taking the goofy fun late Showa-esque bullshit route, with the plots getting increasingly ridiculous. Japanese Godzilla has gone back to angry nuclear harbinger of destruction, effectively a metaphor for the Hiroshima nuke like 1954 was. What Gojira was originally intended to be.
@@Izywik90 well, both are amazing, Godzilla can be an evil monster bent on destroying humanity And he can also be more action oriented, being more fun, like the showa era, To say Godzilla must be like minus 1, shin Godzilla or 1954 is well... Well it feels like you just don't like Godzilla, Godzilla is more then just what he originally represented. And I enjoy both verisons of Godzilla
@@Izywik90 I thought I did... I don't really know how to explain how both are amazing other then... It's fun watching godzilla beat up other monsters, and equally great watching Godzilla be a terror to all
Skar releases his legendary Pokemon🤣🤣🤣 Yah both GVK and GXK are stupid or just fan service, the solo movies have a narrative power to them but still I enjoyed GXK that doesn't mean it was good narratively
Literally the only thing I didn’t like about this movie was the monsters seeming too light and fast this robbing us of the spectacle and scale of the previous movies, and the fights were not nearly long enough.
L take this is just a dumb fun movie that you can turn your brain off while watching and see two big monsters beat the he'll out of each other not every movie has to be a creative masterpiece with peak storytelling
Monsters first. Meaning second. And honestly, I only need the first. We got our good film with Minus One… now let’s revel in the insanity that is GxK. I’m goin to see it in an hour. No doubt I’m gonna walk out of that theater happier than I’ve been in weeks.
I was right. I walked out of that theater smiling with every cell in my body. Each cell grew a set of teeth, a jaw, and the necessary muscles to form a fucking smile. That movie was absolutely amazing. Kong searching for, and finding a home and a family. Jia mirroring that, but realizing she already has those. Godzilla keeping the balance and being a menace. Mothra bein a boss ass bitch. Shimo enslaved and freed. Suko growing and realizing he can fight for a better life. . I literally just got home, so I still might be flying high on endorphins… but the only problem I had, and it’s not even THAT big of a problem: Skar came and went a bit too quickly, and didn’t seem like all that much of a threat aside from controlling Shimo. . I love how the humans only showed up when it was essential to the MONSTER DRIVEN plot. These aren’t just animals, they’re characters. You can see them think, feel, and act. You can see character growth in them. This is the Godzilla movie I’ve always wanted. Though it was more a Kong movie than a Godzilla one, but you get the point.
“Nothing matters” *Shimo if she and Skar were to win the war would trigger another ice age where humanity wouldn’t be ready and they would go extinct and Skar would likely cause the other titans to be killed off by Shimo* Riiiiiight. Oh and you saying this film is bad when GvK was awful due to MG just being shoehorned into the plot when the plot could of been simple with Godzilla sensing kong due to the storm destroying skull island and forcing the humans to move him and they catch wind of hollow earths existence so they try sending him there and Godzilla proceeds to still hunt him down due to Kong being one of the few last awake alpha level titans Btw as for the whole tooth ache thing, how does that even ‘waste time’ when it’s just a side thing. It’s just a bit of a unique thing for this film. It’s like random dialogue characters have. Is random dialogue about a future thing really that bad? Is the tooth ache kong had really that much of a gripe? Meanwhile as well at the end when Kong keeps Skar from getting the Crystal he bites Skar with the side of the teeth that had the metal tooth. That really helped out in terms of that scene too since as we all know, metal that’s sharp like that REALLY HURTS lol. So I’m sorry but already your points are stupid, and the fact you said you defended GVK and yet you call out this film which obviously isn’t taking itself seriously and actually has better character development then GVK is shocking.
King Kong in the past: *A savage beast from the dark part of the world and humanity, that maybe we can never truly leave behind even though it can not cohabitate with the modern world.* King Kong now: *makes dental appointment*
"I liked it so it's great not bad" ....people realize they're allowed to enjoy flawed media right? It doesn't actually need to be perfect or even good for you to enjoy it.
I fine with this movie and have no problem watching it again. The fact we have a lighter tone movies with go with the darker tone movie at the same time is a blessing for Godzilla fans.
So basically the MV movies that came before matter less to this movie's tone than the movie from another continuity and another company? Yeah, no logical fallacies here, folks.
If you didn’t like the movie it’s a skill issue on your end. “No character to attach yourself to” my dude Kong is the character to get attached to. His journey parallels the Iwei tribe girl’s journey. So much of this movie is non verbal dialogue and it is done so well. This both pays homage to old kaiju films but also solidifies itself as an example of modern spectacle done right. You did not make a single valid critique in the first half all the way to the ad break, instead talking about how you didn’t like effects or thought the giant monsters didn’t look realistic. You want realism? In a kaiju movie set in the gravity weird hollow earth? You are a pretty bad critic if you mean that XD. Complaining about special effects in a monster movie for 10 minutes is a waste of your time son. Not gonna lie I’d love to have a conversation about how you missed the mark on this movie this bad if your down. We can email, or host it on your or my channel. Either way, I think you failed to even understand the purpose of the film.
@@danielgregori7019people can like the movie but it’s when people literally defend this film and deny any criticism towards it with the “critics are not fans” comments, that is a problem
I’m a more recent Godzilla fan and even I understand that these movies can and will be dumb fun, I liked it and I understand why others will, not everything needs to be serious and depressing it’s nice to switch it, Minus one was amazing don’t get me wrong but it’ll get tiring to get a row of the same type of Godzilla movie, it’s nice to sprinkle it here and there.
I usually agree with your takes on movies and tv shows (specially when it comes with the woke crap ones) but i disagree with this one in particular because of the context, yes i know that after minus one every monsterverse movie seems like trash in comparasion, but lets be honest here, godzilla has always been a very versatile character, either you have him on a very dark and mature movie as a villain, or in a campy and goofy superhero-esque type of movie with him being a good guy, and it had always being like that since his conception, and yes, minus one it's still a better project, but trashing this movie just because it's not on the same level as minus one is not fair, and at the end of the day, Godzilla x kong delivers what it promises, which is an entertainment movie full of monster battles.
The problem here is that Godzilla fans don't seem to realize that those campy movies you're talking about were never actually good. They were fun. But as films - as pieces of art in cinema - they were not good. And you need to accept that. You're free to like this shit all you want, but it deserves every bit of criticism it gets.
@@TyrantJaegerExactly. People have fun with the Fast & Furious movies too, myself included. Does that make them good movies? Absolutely not, they’re terrible lmao. But that’s totally fine and I can just turn my brain off with movies like that. That’s the whole purpose of them imo.
@@TyrantJaeger That's an obvious no. Your just saying that every film has to be top-notch, good quality and story, I'm fine with that, but you don't have to call a fun movie "trash" just because it doesn't fit in your taste in movies unless you fairly critique it and still say it's worth for the fans and not you. Not every film has to be Citizen Kane alright?
the monsterverse was fine till 2019 with 3 entries , still no exceptional human characters but atleast none of these goofy and over the top cringe .. we like showa era cuz of the memes and there is a bit ironic guilty pleasure in it but those are objectively BAD movies which shouldn't be emulated in modern day , this was a trash movie period .
@prateekmahapatra1789 tbf godzilla was really built of the goofy movies there's really only select few godzilla movies that are serious the monsterverse is just like the heisei version it starts of serious then gets more and more crazy as time goes on I feel like space godzilla was the prime example of that and same could be said with the Millennium as well when compare gmk to final wars
There’s something called google chrome extensions but I’m assuming you don’t know what that is since your ignorance is blocking you from seeing the big picture
It isn’t for everyone, some people want a deep movie about the chaos Godzilla causes, some people want big monke boxing match. I personally thought it was great.
This movie wasn't meant to be like Minus one. One was meant to be dark and serious, other one wasn't. One was meant to have cool monsters fighting, other one wasn't. They're not same and weren't supposed to. Godzilla X Kong is most enjoyable and fun out of all Monsterverse movies imo
Movie cynic getting absolutly torn to shreds in the comments just because he gave his opinion is honestly mind boggling. Like, I´m a huge godzilla fan and I loved this movie, but people are allowed to have opinions, right?
The people fawning over this movie and saying you shouldn't expect it to be as good as Minus One have the same exact energy as all those game "journalists" saying you shouldn't expect Baldur's Gate 3 quality from AAA games in the future.
I don't play video games, so I don't get the reference, but this movie has a silly tone, and you shouldn't expect it to be the same level as Minus One! 😉
@@OrthoLou Oh I don't, but that's used as an excuse for it's quality. I just don't prescribe to the "shut your brain off to enjoy it" style approach to movies. Things like that should be able to justify their own existence beyond: "makes money." And most don't even do that.
well to be fair when they duped us the first time by making it look like brian cranston Vs Godzilla and then he dies 20 minutes in, all prospects for a serious compelling godzilla story from the human angle went out the door after that. SO I think if you went into it thinking it was gonna be this game changer I think that's just being naive this far into this Legendary franchise. But we got cool scenes like the Halo jump which i'd argue are some of the best in any movie. And all the Hollow earth scenes were awsome, I love the expansion. Outer earth, hollow earth, subterranean earth, and other hidden places gives room for more stories.
Baldurs gate 3 quality? You mean a near broken third act, large day 1 patches to fix the game, many broken promises and things that were advertised that were never put in the game? Please don't act like baldurs gate 3 was some quality game.
I went to see Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire twice with my friends, it was awesome. At this point, we know that critics and haters were going to be annoying and nit pick at this film and comparing it to Godzilla Minus One which at this point is getting annoying. Comparing The New Empire to Minus One is not even valid anymore more, now it's just getting annoying and irritating. Us as fans who really love the film for what it is, the best thing we can do is just try and ignore the critics and haters as much as we can. I love both Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire and Godzilla Minus One, no nit picking, no bias, both are well done films in the own right.
Any Godzilla fan could've seen this coming from a mile away lol. The same TH-camrs who glazed Minus One (which for the record is one of my favorite films of all time) are now gonna shit on anything that isn't a super serious post-war drama. This movie knows what it is. It knew the target audience. And guess what? It accomplished it's goals and is making a ton of money. Whether you wanna believe it or not, without the Showa era, Godzilla isn't where he is today. No Minus One or Shin Godzilla. And this movie doesn't even come close to the goofiness of the Showa era for the record. It was a fun spectacle and that's what it set out to be. Not every movie needs to be Shin or Minus One.
13:30 The Kong member that was kicked in the lava pit wasn't the same Kong member that Kong just so happened to help get up. If you had paid closer attention, you'd see that the lava pit victim was likely the mother of Suko, which explains why he reacts the way he does, and why the Kong was blocking Suko from Scar King.

@XanthosAcanthus I think autistic guys would get/enjoy this movie the most lol.

*Tail sliding Godzilla.*
*Godzilla dancing on the moon.*

*Kong shoving a tree in Godzilla's mouth.*
*Godzilla body slamming a Megaguirus with comically bulging eyes.*
*The running scene from Godzilla vs King Ghidorah from the 1990's movie.*
*Kamata-Kun.*
*Jet Jaguar handshake.*
*The throwing of Kumonga.*
*Ebirah slamming into Hedorah.*
*N.I.G.E.L getting destroyed in every episode of The Animated Series.*
*Godzilla swearing at Mothra twins when they ask him to help.*
*Minilla getting physically abused by Godzilla.*
*Little Godzilla from Space Godzilla.*
*Kong getting drunk off of wine.*
*Godzilla ripping out Hedorah's balls.*
*Godzilla, King Ceasar and Rodan literally playing soccer with Anguirus.*
*King Ghidorah nut shotting Godzilla.*
*Godzilla and Anguirus LITERALLY TALKING.*
- All that is fine, but the line is drawn at Godzilla Suplexing Kong off of the great pyramids and Kong using Suko as a nun-chuck? Funny coming from someone saying they own all 36 movies but can't reference this movie off of anything other than the Monsterverse or Minus One.

Exactly
Yeah I agree, y'all are sleeping on Dan Stevens, he was one of the best parts of this movie aswell😭
GvK
My least Favorite film out of the ones listed, yet I can still respect it.

3. Over the top cartoony action and colors: I mean it’s a movie about two kaiju duking it out and teaming. I feel like if it was “realistic” it would be very bland and fights wouldn’t be as hype.
4 comedy podcast guy: yeah he really didn’t need to be in the movie
5 pilot dying: they literally go to contact monarch about the situation and evacuate.

Well, reading the comments, I have to say: you're 100% right.... unfortunately.

Or they aren't begging for insanely serious films and just want fun action? I don't know just a thought.
Facts.
You guys ever see than toy story meme were buzz is surrounded by other buzz toys that are exactly like him
Yes. Difference is that this guy is behaving just like the critics
Not everything has to be pure art and cinema dude💀
@@RJM-ot5dt Well would it fucking hurt if everything was pure art and cinema?
I think dude might be expecting too much of these movies.
Big monkey punch. Popcorn. That's it.
the monsterverse was fine till 2019 with 3 entries , still no exceptional human characters but atleast none of these goofy and over the top cringe .. we like showa era cuz of the memes and there is a bit ironic guilty pleasure in it but those are objectively BAD movies which shouldn't be emulated in modern day , this was a trash movie period .
Cry some more, we enjoyed these types of movies. It's not our problem your not invested into this fun wacky of a film with pretty visuals.
I mean yeah that doesn't make it a good movie tho tbf. I think we all know this movie is trash but still pretty funny

He’s one of those Anti-Woke Redpilled sigmas. Those are really pathetic people.

@@Patrick-nq9ij It's just his opinion, he doesn't need more negative comments
@Badboy25251 it's a pretty great game. who hurt you bro?

The movie doesn’t try to be something it’s not. It’s awesome. If you want something meaningful. Watch some gay shit instead.
