    I have a 94 that I just installed my old Pioneer 7000BT into. I wish I would have seen this video first but now I know how to change out that burnt buld and how to take off the upper portion. I was using screw drivers to pry it off but not anymore. Thanks for the simple and quick video. Thumbs up!!!
    On a side note, it sure would have been nice to be able to remove that storage bin below when I ran my amp rca's and remote wire. Now I know hehe.

    Finally I found a video of how this is done on a 93-97 corolla... I just have to change that lightbulb. I bet this video would get a few more views if that was in the title of the DIY-tutorial. " Light bulbe replacement corolla console " or something... but anyways... thanks! Good stuff... maybe i can finally see the fan and heating options for the first time i years when I do this tomorrow. :)

    Thanks! Thinking I'll take off the lower console in order to replace the cigarette lighter, which is shorting and blowing the fuse apparently because it's coming apart when used to charge a phone (the spring and another piece started floating around). Taking the parts off will make it far easier to give them a good cleaning & treatment to spruce up the look.

    Are there 2 connectors (or just one) on the back of the stereo?,we cant see them in the video.
    Btw my car a 97 corolla (rhd australian spec) sedan has a white plastic locking tab directly behind the square storage compartment below the stereo panel. 😔😔
    I discovered this after several hours of frustration & vulgar language! 🤣🤣
    All u need to do to find it is reach around the back of the console & feel for it & then push the tab slightly upwards until the panel that holds the cig lighter socket comes undone 😉

    • @Tylerstoyotas
      @Tylerstoyotas  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I have a 96 corolla how do you remove the rear deck speakers, I don’t want to break anything and TH-cam doesn’t really show much about it...

    • @carolinadirtfishin5949
      @carolinadirtfishin5949 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Justin Woosley you need to remove the 3rd brake light, rear seat bottom, and rear seat back. If you have 60/40 folding seats you’ll need to remove the seat bottom, fold the seats down, remove the 2 side bolsters and the plastic trim. After all of that you can remove the rear dash panel to expose the speakers

    Do you know if there's much difference in this process for RHD corollas? I was unable to remove the plastic with the cigarette lighter and ashtray holder - it seems to be locked in somewhere.

    what is this "japanese stuff" you speak of? also is there an aftermarket door or something i can use to fill that ugly old storage bin?

    • @Tylerstoyotas
      @Tylerstoyotas  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      there are all kinds of things that can go there. these are all just some of the things available in other countries though so they would have to be sourced and imported. there's the multibox, air fantasy, secret box, graphic equalizer, and a few other things that can be found. as for things you can use from the usa, you can use the storage compartment and cup holders from an 8th gen corolla that looks really good if done right. you can search the local junkyards for regular single din storage compartments. anything will work from like 1970 to 05 lol. if you'd like more info and some pictures just pm me and we will get in touch

    • @angelisone
      @angelisone 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +DIYCorolla No way you can fit a double din when slot fits only din 1. Stop guessing.
      Above radio has vents. Below radio has air vent selectors.
      Again, not on a 1997 model for direct fit.

    • @Tylerstoyotas
      @Tylerstoyotas  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      angelisone okay, first off, don't be an ass and use your head for a second. This CAN be done. You mound the double din where that large useless storage bin is above the cup holder. The radio wires reach there because that's actually where an upgraded tape deck mounts from the factory. Then, you go to the dealer and buy the delete plate that goes below the air vents because not all models came with radios. Know your shit before you comment.
