The few times I got free rides to jail I thought it was creepy when you heard the drunk tank holding cell doors close. I would have freak out if I had been placed into a tiny solitary confinement cell with those solid doors. It would have driven.me crazy not being able to see outside of that cell!. Now they did place me in a 5' wide by about 12' long room with steel locking doors at each end for about 20 minutes before I got to go before the magistrate by video conference call.
If you don't think the USA DOC doesn't have lock up units like this one before you your mis informed, to this day in the USA reception prisoners in transit from county to state penitentiary are housed in such cells for 24 hrs no rec until a classification committee selects your state appointed prison

This looks like a setting for a horror movie or video game. It definitely looks likes like one those abandoned, haunted prisons.
