Spent 90 days straight in solitary. 10 months in 23 and 1 cell. They have no idea what its like being in the inside of a cell in solitary confinement with no book, paper to write on, tv, tablet, nothing but a wall to stare at and a metal sink and toilet with a tiny slot in the door to be given meals and turn in trays. you slowly lose your mind hour by hour, day by day, week by week.
@SealMaster00 - we honestly have no clue how anyone can handle it. Appreciate you sharing your own story. You help describe the experience first hand. No one can truly know the madness unless they've lived it.
I went for about 24 hours the first time at 52 years old a couple of months ago.If you don't like unsanitary places you won't like jail.My Dad was in the Air Force for 21 years and there is one thing I learned how to do and that was clean.

Very true what that older CO with the glasses said about inmates going full kill mode over a candy bar. I can only speak on the adult system but ive personally seen guys go all out Rambo because they either had their canteen stolen, or even worse a glitch in the system where you just don't get your order at all. It might just seem like candy etc to a civilian but when you're waiting on that junkfood, sometimes for weeks or even months (if you just don't have any money on your books) and then it doesn't come... Trust me, you would probably lose your shit too
@jungjeru3348 - very well said. We've seen it in both juvenile and adult facilities. As they say, "it's the little things." Appreciate you watching and commenting.
@@CalamariProductions Totally, it's all about the little things because for a lot of these guys those " little things" are all that they have! Another inmate I met who had done a lot of small bids explained it to me like this, The guys who really trip about stuff like who controls the phones, or the rules of the range ie no whistling, always wearing at least 1 pair of boxers and flip flops in the shower etc etc... Those guys aren't just visiting those institutions. In their minds THEY LIVE THERE! I lived there too but for me it was more like an extended vacation from the free world. For the guys who are true "lifers" prison is their real home and the street is like a vacation. And when I started to think about it in those terms my time went a lot easier, I stopped questioning the insane rules they enforced because it wasn't my place to and I wouldn't want it to be...

I know being away from your family sucks , but the 2 most hated things about jail is , BOREDOM, N THAT NASTYASSS FOOD , n the boredom set in at nighttime cuz all day long I was exercising, push-ups, dips curls, back , n legs , I'd workout 6days a week n Sunday was Chapel, I always went to Catholic Mass, all the Whites n Mexican went to C.Mass n the Black's went to Muslim Mass , I apologize if I said that wrong
Just because someone has an outburst or a reaction to something doesnt mean they deserve to be scrutinized to this mental torture. People are allowed to feel and express emotions, they pass. It doesn't matter the age to me really. People in prison will usually act however they feel like acting regardless of consequences. The point being that it applies to both juvenile and adult prisons im sure. At most juveniles may have some ways of expressing themselves that most adults might not.
❤ Dear @ST-to1VK I'm so sorry that you were deprived of the love, understanding, respect and compassion that every child needs and deserves. In the first seven years of our lives we are being programmed by our environment, our parents, society and schools. If we are raised in an environment of fear, violence, neglect, disrespect, hopelessness, and helplessness, then the basic programs (which become our subconscious beliefs about ourselves and the world around us) are that we are unlovable, unworthy and undeserving. I know, because I was raised by abusive parents who were so badly abused in their own childhoods. They followed their subconscious parenting programming while raising myself and my siblings. They passed on to us, their own toxic and untrue beliefs, and they acted out their own woundedness on us. We all were victims. I am 68 years old and I am still working on discovering those destructive, self-sabbotaging programs I acquired as a child and am now consciously choosing to replace them with new beliefs, new understandings and new habits. My wish and hope for you, Sweet One, is that you will make the effort to understand your own early programming. You are a lovable person who deserves to receive love and to give love. You deserve to dream. You deserve to believe in your own worthiness and to believe in a future where you will accept the challenge to feed your soul with knowledge and discover the beautiful talents and skills that you were born with.
