The 'Pick a door' thing is so popular but no one actually likes these type of Levels it's just annoying

Personally, I don't think things like pick a pipe/door belong on a list about troll deaths. Those belong on the ridiculously stupid level designs list.

I’ll pretty much “boo” every troll course, unless it specifies in the course title that it’s a troll level. Unannounced troll courses simply make the game worse.

Pick a doors can work if the doors don't kill you. The doors could be alternate challenges.

Sorry, sometimes I have a weird sense of humour. I didn't mean that joke literally.
I knew what the joke meant; I had tried to make a troll level with my sister. We could do the level together, but I couldn't even get past the start on my own
What I'm trying to say is that the joke was pretty funny, and I didn't mean to insult you
Some of these are really, *really* low-quality.
And others are really high-quality, like the kind you'd expect to see in quality troll levels.\
So all in all, not too bad.
To me, none of these are high quality. Most of these are anti-softlocks, not even trolls. The actual trolls are really bad. Even the anti-softlock are simple and easy to make without any thoughts needed.
Make sure if you're using these to make them *avoidable*
Eg: a little hint
When you bonk a muncher with wings with links shield, right as the muncher jumps up, the muncher will jump away in an ark.

The Clear Pipe one could be even better. You have it end with a dead end, sending Mario back, but after he enters the first time, a Thwomp triggers a bullet bill launcher to drop and block the entrance, trapping Mario in the pipe until the timer runs out or they quit the level

This is a guide on how to get people to boo, not only the course you make, but all the other courses out of spite. People hate "lol troll" deaths. Troll levels aren't about killing the player, they're about doing unexpected and cool things with the mechanics.
The Hidden Spike #2 is actually a good troll.
But replace the spike with a note-block filled with an enemy such as the Boo Buddies. (the boo's that circle around you in groups)
The hidden door and cloud blocks were definitely the coolest trolls. I'm surprised I haven't seen those before

Now i think the fake dev exit is ok because if they find it and keep going with it they are trying to beat level unfairly and trying to use a dev exit which means they want to use to cheat

I actually don't mind the pick-a-door/pipe if they serve a thematic reason, and if they're limited to just a couple of uses. The rest of them, though...
I made a troll level similar to this a few months ago. It uses a fake dev exit hidden behind a real one!

I have one make a clear pipe with the ending just go into blocks and a thwomp triggers offscreen and lets a bob-omb explode, which drops the bill launcher!

4:47: Same as 4:04, the only change is pipe.

Hey, I bought Mario Maker 2 a while ago and played a bit of the story.
I really want to make a (good) Toll Level for Carl, ryukahr, juzcook etc. but as a "newcommer" I don't know most basic contraptions - like how to just spawn a Koopa Shell or how to get only the wooden part of a Chain Chomp... Cound you show some of that stuff or maybe some basic contraptions to use in good levels?
That's Nice! To get a wooden stomp You need to kill The chain chomp with a bomb
And to get only a koopa shell a block under The koopa Needs to Be blown up

An actual good troll level takes so much more effort than this. Some have taken around 3 years to build, which is actually how long ago this comment was
