- Here at looygi bros. gaming we've realized that the much-maligned assist parts in SMM2 can actually be fun!

Come to think of it, "Assist%" could be a cool Story Mode speedrun category.

It’d be cool if, once you beat a level in course world, you could use luigi’s assist parts, but not have your speedrun time counted.

In stages with enemies that bother me, I use hard blocks to block them off.
You can also do the Pow Block Wake Up Call mission with a star but Yellow Toad will still wake up (pls make a part 2!! :D)

I love Assist parts! I use them in some levels.
Mario: skips everything with a cape

Yeah they didn't think this through when they added Luigi Assist Mode. You can use it how many times you want and you can easily clear Story Mode faster.
But it leaves a mark on the levels you beat with it until you beat them legit.
@@oasis9009 Well I think there should be a penalty that says "You cleared this course, using Assist Mode. The Story will not continue unless you clear it"

@@KC_Garcia Well the thing is unlike in that game where it forces you to beat a level on normal mode, here the game still tells you to clear the level no matter how easy or hard it is.

I’ve done #7 before, I had to do it to complete it.
This should be an extra mode in the game, with levels built around this mechanic allowing you to solve certain puzzles. That would be pretty cool! 👍

I do wish they incorporated building into the story mode more. Imagine that they give you a prebuilt course that is impossible to beat, and a certain amount of course elements you can use to make the level possible.
I actually did the clear pipe one before and oh boy is it satifying to get revenge on those koopas
What if there was an option to add this to levels, and maybe customize what it has?
Example: A Minecraft-esque level with ONLY 25 bricks

5:56 oh yeah I did the rotten mushroom level just constantly trapping fungus mcdungus but he always escaped after a few screens...

The level at 5:59 I did that, but after a few seconds I heard bouncing and I saw the Poison Mushroom coming back. So for the whole thing I kept using Luigi's Hard Blocks and made it safely.
Now do the the whole level without Luigi's help

How do you spin in place in the 3D world style without jumping? Is it L and R together or ZL or ZR together? 🤷🏼♂️
Up and R. If you jump while spinning, you jump even higher than a full speed jump. You can look at Mario's moves in the menu, or go through the dojo to learn all the basics.

I actually did #7 because that level frustrated me too much XD
I also use assist mode to sense invisible blocks hold a block over them
