Some ppl in the comments complaining, but I needed to hear this. I had a 300 ninja which held more gas than this. That’s a dealbreaker for me unfortunately. Hopefully 1 day i could have this bobber for a second bike. Looks like I’ll have to go with the Vulcan S..4 gallon gas tank and I’ll add the mods. Great review
I don't love the Speedmaster looks honestly. I was a fan of the old one, but something about the new one just looks a bit off to me. I have a test ride on it planned though, so maybe that will change my mind.
I have a 2018 Bobber. I like the 2nd set of rims. I would like to know where you found those rims. I want to change mine out. I have plans on putting on a wider yolk, so I can put on a wider front tire. I really want to put on tires with a lower profile as well. I agree with you, the seat isn't as comfortable as I like, I might try the extra cushion seat as well. I love the look and the sound of the pipes but I may also consider putting on the Spark exhaust system. I have a Thruxton R and I put on the Spark Exhaust, they have a great look and a great sound. The MPG's on this bike isn't good...I took a ride up to Cumming, GA from the Airport area and I had to fill up 3 times, that included the fill up at the gas station before I left, once when I got up there and a fill up when I got back.
My 2020 bobber comes with tubeless Avon AV71 Cobra tires( love those spoke wheels). The tank gives me about 130 kms so when i go on long trips i carry a 1 liter fuel container in my side bag. Mine is a bobber black so absolutely no problem with the looks of the exhaust( or the sound). The seat can be some what uncomfortable so i positioned the seat back a bit and added a padded seat cover ( looks great too). The rad is great on long trips or very hot days, but you do have to keep it maintained. Enjoy your bike!!! I get looks every time i stop for gas so i don't mind stopping more often LOL. I did some "old man mods" to it so it's really a nice comfortable ride. Got away a bit from that cafe look and still have those mirrors upwards !!
Not sure how valid impressions are after 150 miles, complaining about fuel and range when you're had to fill up once. but, fair enough. - tyres, can't say I have had experience or issues with it, I wouldn't want to give up the spokes and haven't yet looked into changing my tyres for others.. hoping to get some whitewalls at some point though.. Either way, the tubes aren't a dealbreaker for me. - The range is, yea. not great.. but it's a bobber.. it's not meant to be a tourer. Either way, the newer bobbers have a bigger tank. And like you said, you could also do is put a 2018- speedmaster tank on it (impossible to find on eBay though). It's a bolt on mod, very easy to do. Which would give you 12 liters instead of 9 and perhaps a "nicer" solution than carrying around gas. - liquid cooling, in the long run.. it's better for the bike and increases resistance to breakdowns, even if it means there is a new failure point with radiators and such. Glad to see you have a cover, that's hopefully enough to prevent most. - Seat, would agree. Mine had that original seat. And I changed it for the diamond stitch seat you showed.. It does feel a lot better and is an easy install. - Exhaust is alright.. bit tame sounding maybe. But I don't mind the look, I think triumph has done a great job at making it look like a straight-ish pipe exhaust and it does fit the style of the bike. Most people don't believe they're not straight pipes and don't know it's hiding all the CAT and other bits.. they might just stand out because they're the only massive silver part on the bike, but that's a personal taste thing.
"It's a bobber" isn't really a valid argument. Because it's not a bobber. It's a faux bobber with modern tech, and as such should be treated as a modern bike. It's not a cheap parts bin bike that anyone could build. It's a premium 15k bike.
Option a for the rims if it's for those two. There are other options that are similar in price that have a different look. All depends on what you like. But yeah, from the two options you gave, A.
triumph site says it gives 60 mpg ? Are they completely making that # up? Otherwise, the only concerns I'd have are the lean angle and the seat comfort for long rides. Yeah you can add storage but that's like complaining about not having a windshield!
dont know what you own now but now the bobber is tubeless with bigger tank bit beefier seat and your complain bout the liquid cooling is not commendable cause it comes from your personal pain :P I like the look of the exhaust , great video btw :)
Thanks for watching! I know a lot of those changes were made because of negative feedback on the original model that I owned. At this point I have owned every Triumph Modern Classic minus the Speedmaster, but currently riding a Scrambler 900.
hey man, I'm glad to hear the lean angle was not one of the 5 things on this list, but since it's been over a year by now since you posted this video I'd like to ask if it has been an issue for daily riding? and if so, which part scrapes the ground first (exhaust/footpeg)? also if you managed to fix this feel free to elaborate with any details! would appreciate it :)
I wouldn't say it is a daily riding issue, but it's definitely an issue. The peg touches down first or the corners of your boots if yours like mine are much wider than the pegs. It doesn't ruin the experience per say, but it's definitely a thing you have to be aware of. The engine is way more sporty than the chassis can keep up with.
Did you replace the seat with the one you were talking about? I just got a bobber and I had the exact same problem. Aftermarket seat are way too much but I seen the gel one from Triumph and was thinking about picking it up. I'm concerned it wont be much better.
I actually sold that particular bobber (a deal on a dream bike popped up), but I am now looking at buying a 2024 Bobber and will definitely be trying that gel seat when I do.
The engine in the Bobber is significantly better than the Rebel 1100, in my opinion, but as a total package, the Rebel does have more to offer, so I think you'll be happy with your choice.
Question. I bought this same bike used and the previous owner did a lot of Mods to it, I have a flat rack behind my seat that has two bolt holes in it. It’s not a tubed rack like yours. I haven’t yet seen anything made specifically for that flat rack, can ya help me out ?
Have tou had any issue with this bike, mechanical or electrical that prevented tou from riding that day? I like bikes thatvare reliable and FIY it when it brakes. Thanks!😂😂
A for the wheel..but change them for 2500$ us...the price i pay my bobber ....change the wheel is really close to half what i pay for the bikes .. and the 19 inch in the front make choice limited....for the tank....thoses bikes is ussually used to drive around town and not make a lot of km....but i see what you mean.....radiator...dont break for nothing.....seat.....thoses bikes are not made to touring......its a bobber....exhaust....probly a better look than 90% of the aftermarker.....a) ugly b) look better.....but would prefer stock out of those 2......i have my opinion and you have yours
@@Dailycozwerks the price of thoses wheel are canadien or usa?.and what brand...they look good but like i said...its alot of money ...i hate that the tire is a tube....but i never had a flat with a motocycle...i know its gonna be a pain in the ass with that bikes.....and how much millage you have on the bikes? and how much did you pay for it?
@@Dailycozwerks Thank you for the response. I know the later versions have a larger tank, but I prefer the front tire and the tank color of the original Bobber.

A German company called Wunderkind makes a 4+ gallon tank for the bobber. Looks like the stock tank, just bigger.
Oooo great info! Thanks for that. I will be looking into them. Thanks for watching as well. I appreciate the support.

Check if you have a tube, my Avon71
My tubeless Avon AV71 have tubes, if it didn't air would come through the spokes. I know because I had a flat.

I have had 4 bikes in my life, never had a flat. You bought a Bobber for "Big Touring"?

Would u be able to share a link to the Hebco (sp?) & Becker behind the seat luggage rack? Thanks in advance.
Hepco* I actually found it on EBay, and it shipped from England. It appears that several UK sites sell it, though, so you can likely price shop.
Hi, can the hepco&becker rack be used for passenger seat? Thanks!
No it cannot. It has a very low weight rating.
#A for the wheel and #B for the exhaust 😊😊

They may be SW-MOTECH mounting holes. I would probably start my research there. Might also be holes for a Givi mounting plate.
