I really like the bobber, I am planning to test ride one. However, I have sat on one and felt that it might be a bit small for me, felt a little cramped. I could spend all day at a dealership and test ride everything, I'm sure it would really annoying the employees
I know exactly what you mean, I sat on a Bobber for the first time a couple of weeks ago and found it very cramped but it didn't have the forward foot controls which do make a world of difference 👍
Very good points! Adam (the owner) put on ape bars and forward foot controls specifically to make the bike less cramped and I promise you it absolutely transforms the feeling of size on the bike. For me at 6’1, it feels perfect- the first thing I’d do if I bought one is apes and forward foot controls. I know apes are polarising, but I do love them and they give you much more space🙂👌🏻

Freddie, I absolutely love your enthusiastic honest opinion, which clearly came straight from the heart. These are the kind of reviews that would make a consumer want to buy. I'm a UK ExPat now living in NZ. I have riden Triumphs 50 odd years and at 70, I still ride one. When the Bobber came out, I though Wow, what a great looking bike. Sadley when I saw the engine capacity my heart sank. For a single person cruiser, there is no need for such big CC's. But it does allows Triumph to put on a higher price tag. This is the same bike as their full sized cruiser that holds two up with a backrest and saddlebags. They just put a solo seat on it instead. Probably cheaper than designed another bike
Been riding my bobber with gusto throwing it around for the last 2 years and rarely scrape the pegs . Probably the best fun bike I’ve owned. Great video
im thinking about getting one, but i looked at one saturday (wasnt allowed to sit on it) and it looked abit cramped ,the sit and foot peg position. im only 5.10
I love the excitement in your voice and the passion you have for this bike. Great video, Freddie. I’m always going on about Zard, and they don’t disappoint on this machine!
The aesthetic of this motorcycle, even the simple silhouette, is exquisite - vintage curves, classic lines, old-fashioned style. Thanks for the review.
Another excellent video, Freddie and Monica! The Triumph Bobber is the bobber to get in my opinion, although I am going for the Speedmaster to have the two-up riding option, as well as the super-comfy seat! Freddie, watching your final thoughts on the Bobber, I was out-of-this-world impressed with the fact that you did that all in one take! While watching you, I kept thinking, ‘Freddie is a consummate pro!’ Literally all those thoughts conveyed brilliantly all at once. Incredible! Also, you are spot-on about those of us looking at the new modern classics, quite the nitpicky lot indeed! Along those lines, twice in the video you commented on looking for a fit-and-finish squabble that you may have and could not find one, and I agree that the fit and finish on these new Tiumphs are superb. But I was reminded of your comment you made in your Speedmaster review video, and it was the only one squabble: the rear signal design was plastic instead of metal. And I agree 100% with that critique; it would really make a difference if it were metal like the front and rear mudguards. That’s a small critique, but I am one of those nitpicky ones. :-) Brilliant as always. Cheers!
Honestly this might be the pinnacle of cool at the moment. The stance, look, sound, and performance all work well overall and for the pricepoint. I suppose the only problem arises if you have a partner.
The price point? A bobber is supposed to be a cheap bare bones parts bin bike that anyone can build by taking popular old models and removing everything until only the essentials are left. Most bobbers aren't even supposed to have a rear suspension or mud guards. Triumph basically just imitated the look, added modern technology, and charged 15k for it. This is overpriced hipster garbage. You're literally paying for something that LOOKS like a bobber.
I have had my bobber for 2months now and love it. Worth every penny. I live in Thailand and there is only one Indian dealer, but close to my house was the Triumph dealer. One gripe about the Indian is that the rear fender is attached to the frame not the swingarm as it should be.
Cool looking bike Freddie. Also Sounds great too. You look very proud of the bike. Watching from a very foggy UK on a Sunday morning drinking a hot coffee. Wishing I was in Tenerife riding that triumph. Keep up the good videos
This bike has solidified in my mind my dream bike- the Speedmaster (I need the rear seat)🖤👌🏻🏍 I’ve got my fingers crossed for a week of good weather for you back in the UK!🙂🤞🏻
I'm looking at buying my first ever motorcycle and I have ALWAYS absolutely LOVED the look of Triumphs. They won me over before I ever thought of riding. Now that I'm here....man...the Bobber is just such an amazing piece of artwork. I don't want to baby a vehicle but I know this will be my pride and joy and make me want to get out on the road if I get it. What to do, what to do ...
I ride the 2015 Triumph America to which I’ve added a custom single seat and 12 inch internally wired ape hangers among other things..I love my bike but I’m so happy to be part of the Triumph family when looking at what they are doing with their line up

Another great video, Freddie. This is the only moto content my wife will even watch, let alone enjoy. I test rode the Bobber Black before settling on my T120 Black, but I had the same initial impression of the Bobber you did. The handling was surprisingly good, especially in the corners. Probably good to note that this was a Bobber Black and not the regular Bobber. While some of the differences are cosmetic, the front wheel and tire are a different size, which definitely improves the handling for the Black. And the Black has two front disc brakes compared to one for the standard. At 5’8”, the apes would be a bit tall for me, but Motone makes a nice 1” up and 1” back riser, which would probably do the trick for me.
Have the mini apes on my 2017 Triumph Bobber aswell...love it...you my friend are a master of the proper English language/ dialogue......peace from Canada
Fantastic looking bike. I think the new Bobber (2022) has a bigger fuel tank than that model. So many choices, and I went for the T120 (delighted with it), but almost went for the Speedmaster with the flat handlebar fitted. Lovely video. Thanks for sharing.
Just watched this great vid again. I went for the scout in the end (pure black with straight through pipes, proper BAMF style), but really do like that Triumph. Keep up with the good work Freddie.
Been looking all over youtube to find the tall guys on bobbers. Sweet video and showed every single angle and shot you need to get an idea of the size. Thanks man! Especially liked the part of you showing the guy's angle to scrape. I'm hooked. I need to go buy one meow.
Freddie, I come back to this review every few months coz the bobber is my dream bike. However, with a toddler in the house and hopes for a second one day soon I can’t justify the cost at the moment but one day, it will be mine. That being said, I’ve tried desperately to get one for a test ride but there are none anywhere! Can’t even find them to hire!
Only thing missing is long hair and bike badges all over your jacket, if you had that it would be back to the sixties. In reality that noisy exhaust would get to you on longer journeys but I suppose there are other bike for touring. I hate matt black paint but on this bike it works. Thanks for bringing us some sunshine in darkest UK.
I have a 2018 Bobber Black. I ride it to biker destinations all the time. There are shinier bikes, faster bikes, more powerful bikes in attendance. But I have noticed as I observe discreetly, the one bike that the riders always talk about is mine. It is absolutely stunning to look at. I haven't done a single thing to it. Perfect right out of the box. The only gripe I have is the tiny fuel tank.
Triumph bobber ALL DAY LONG !!. I ride a lil sportster bobber which i customised lovingly over time but this is something else ! One of the most beautiful stock bikes ever made . Need to save up
My neighbor has that exact same bike, a 2019 Triumph Bobber in all black, but with standard bars. He parks it next to my V-max in our underground garage. and regularly scrapes the pegs as he makes the 90 degree righthand turn up the garage ramp. At a height of 170cm (5ft 7), he says the seat height is just perfect for him. He says the only drawback is that the servicing costs are incredibly high here in Korea.
Hi Freddie yes less is more the simplicity of the speedo clocks the front light the small refinements . One great Style of the hole bike you can have all the power in the world but one thing gives you that jenesequa is that feeling inside your home on the bike you just want to ride with miles of smiles . :) . Rolley
I think the Bobber looks fantastic, and I know it doesn't quite answer your question if I was going for a modern classic it would have to be either the Triumph Speed twin, or Kawasaki Z900rs as I like a more sporty vibe, great video as always thanks Freddie and Monica.
I ride a 2018 Triumph Speedmaster and would have a Bobber in a heartbeat.... nothing to choose between them. And you are right, scraping your pegs does take a bit of getting used to, but never a biggie - if you remember the peg bends up on a spring and you are not going to dig into the ground and be fired off the bike. But do back off a bit - as that is what the lean angle indicator is there for.
The Triumph all day long for me but the forward foot controls are an absolute must, at 6 foot 1" tall it is unrideable without them. Looks sooo cool😎 and those exhausts transform the bike 🥺
Thanks for the input Andrew- I’m glad you’ve said this because I feel exactly the same- it really would be an essential mod in my book! If I bought the Speedmaster, I’d also do this🙂
Well I disagree about the apes and the forward controls I am 183 cm so that's around 6 foot. I can go all day on my 2017 bobber without that American style stuff. Did not want a HD so why mock up a genuine British bike (made in Thailand) as a HD copy... Just saying..
Great video Freddie, the best. That Bobber is sweet! It's on my short list. I think Triumph has put more engineering Into their motorcycle's than the other Bobber's. This factory motorcycle is better than any garage custom. You and your camera girl put an excellent video together. Btw, I liked the diner part. It did need to be seen.
Great movie, Ive had the triumph bobber black and the Indian scout and to tell you the truth I still could not say which I preferred you are right they are gorgeous bikes which have their similarities both head turners, I miss them both.
Great review ! I am between the bobber and the Speedmaster. Love the mini apes. Congrats to your camera lady for doing a great job too. I am looking for a Triumph Bobber now. :) Yes, the BMW was special.
The Scout Bobber for me. Looks absolutely awesome. Subjective I know, and I am a Triumph fan but the Scout looks that much more of a head turner. Love your enthusiasm and I can see now why the mileage is so high on the Fiat - its been everywhere!
Brought back memories! Had one and traded in on an R18. Miss the Bobber! Such a fun bike, especially for someone like me (opposite - am all of 5 ft 6!). Never scraped it, not that skilled, but yeah, as an around the town bike couldn't be beat. Plenty of compliments!!
Being a bit long legged, I got a 2020 Bobber Black with the optional floorboards as a 70th birthday present for myself. The floorboards seem to make it as near a perfect riding position as I could ask for.
Nice work Freddie. You’re doing a great job with your channel. Really enjoying what you’re putting out. Thanks Monica for great accommodating camera work. I am deeply in love with this Bobber. Looks like you had a ton of fun with it in sunny Tenerife. If you’re ever in Vancouver BC the sea to sky is a magnificent highway for two wheels. Have a great Christmas.

Y'know as soon as I saw the beginning of that vid and saw you on that bobber with Ape Hangers, I said --- Is this a new episode of "Sons of Anarchy". Love the look!
Heard that the suspension has way too little travel, never rode one but I absolutely love the looks. Between this the sportster and the scout I think this wins due to how RAW it looks.
The suspension has no travel, lol. Riding over a tiny pothole knocks the fear of God into you. I should know, I'm going in 4 months with mine. But I love it!!!
Deffo Triumph Bobber for me. It gives me a special feeling already just by looking at it. Since I’ve owned the T100 black, this Triumph Bobber feels very familiar when I look at its engine and other details. The only thing I don’t like about this particular one in your video is the Zard exhaust. The original ones look way better and suit the bike more. But I guess you’ve got to make a choice whether you choose the sound or the look. Anyway, well done to the owner he really did a great job here.

He says the only drawback is that the servicing costs are incredibly high here in Korea.
I don't even like bikes but I have to say Freddie your videos are exceptionally good viewing. An all round great youtuber, keep up the good work.
Awesome video and awesome content can’t wait for the next video Thank’s Freddie and Monika
Hi Freddie yes less is more the simplicity of the speedo clocks the front light the small refinements . One great Style of the hole bike you can have all the power in the world but one thing gives you that jenesequa is that feeling inside your home on the bike you just want to ride with miles of smiles . :) . Rolley
Very well said Rolley- completely agree!
SAMCRO. Nice forward controls and bars. Once I buy mine I'll be doing the exact same thing. Cheers!
Great looking bike Freddie, sounds awesome too!
I think the Bobber looks fantastic, and I know it doesn't quite answer your question if I was going for a modern classic it would have to be either the Triumph Speed twin, or Kawasaki Z900rs as I like a more sporty vibe, great video as always thanks Freddie and Monica.
not wrong on having that beautiful bike being displayed by that coffee shop
@@theowaigel8588 Thanks for your input Theo🙂
Love your last 2 videos, probably best ones in Tenerife so far.
Dude!!! Love this review makes me want to get a bobber Triumph, super super dope!! All the way from 📍 Los Angeles 🍺🍻
I appreciate your passion for bikes. Very fun to watch.
Great video👍🏼👍🏼 Loved your passion for the Bobber and Monika's cute giggles
Lol. Good video. A buddy and I used to see who could run the front pegs down to the point of needing replacement. Shiny side up
The Scout Bobber for me.
Another brilliant one Freddie, what about that Beemer, fabulous, loved the epic soundtrack, spot on
Being a bit long legged, I got a 2020 Bobber Black with the optional floorboards as a 70th birthday present for myself. The floorboards seem to make it as near a perfect riding position as I could ask for.
i have the 2018 bobber black. to this day, still put a smile on my face whenever o ride her
As always, great presentation from Freddy!
What a beautiful couple you two are, may you prosper always.
I think if this bike had a brown leather seat to match that swing arm saddlebag it would be 100% perfection 🥰
Brown leather is an option
Freddie "born to be mild" Dobbs, love that bobber, you look totally tough on it...bring on the swagger...especially after two hours on that!
I would go for that one with slightly less apes, it just has bags of attitude!!!!
Good test, beautiful sound. How Jack Tellers, son of anarchy, jejeje.
Hello! My friend.
Wow! It's a very informative and healing 💯🍻💘 motorcycle video.
The overall design of the motorcycle is so beautiful.
💗🌺🌷 Have a day full of luck.
👍👍👍🤙👌
Saving my pennies for a bobber next year. Tested one in October last year and adored it.
Good luck saving, Robert!!🙂
Such a badass bike. Look at the Union Flag on the rad! Love it.
absolutely perfect bike. will be saving for june 2024 here in NY
Ohlins, ape bars, and forward foot-pegs change the whole world of bobber universe.
People need to see this BIKE 👍😂😎 another great video, Monica and Freddie, keep well and fit my dears, GOD BLESS, greetings from COLD AND RAINY Germany 👍😎🇬🇧🇩🇪
Thanks very much Colt- Christmas greetings over to Germany!🙂
Yup that’s right! Park it outside! Awesome 👍🏽
Y'know as soon as I saw the beginning of that vid and saw you on that bobber with Ape Hangers, I said --- Is this a new episode of "Sons of Anarchy". Love the look!
Triumph bobber for sure, but I'd have to go with the shorter mud guard option on the rear tire, and side mounted plate.
Really enjoyed your video mate. Honest, informative and enthusiastic.
Always a Triumph. One of my favorite bikes.
Beginning looked like the intro from the classic film "Easy Rider", great vlog as always
I love this comparison!😀 Thanks Dave!
that soundtrack when freddie gets ready to start the bike when its parked next to the BMW... damn...
Great review mate! There's some serious badassery mixing a pommie accent with ape bars.
Love those! Fully agree about the Simple Speed O
Being a little taller then yourself and loving these bikes it good to see id fit nicely
