man, I have been training on this system off and on since Louie Simmons was writing for powerlifting USA. Louie even called me back to give me advice on rehabbing my knee after and acl repair. To put a long story short..I'd like to come visit sometime.
@@joshbritton16 well I delayed surgery for nine months and had regained my strength but found my knee to be unstable during cutting and knew it was only a matter of time before I tore my cartilage so I opted for surgery. I would recommend getting a cadaver graft rather than an autograft. The autograft is a secondary surgery that will require removal of part of a patella tendon or hamstring tendon. I ate really well leading up to and after my surgery, began range of motion exercises as prescribed and then pushed my low bar squat up to 405 for 10 in 16 weeks and then slowly started introducing side shuffling and accelerating and decelerating drills. It was about a year before I could jump to my previous height and play sports but I didn’t reach 💯 of my play until roughly two years. If you are strong before the injury your odds are really good. If you dont play sports I would recover without surgery first and then get surgery so you have full strength going into the recovery process. There is new data that supports this idea as well. Look it up. Good luck, brother.
I like DE days a lot because I just get to focus on moving moderate weight as fast as I possibly can for a ton of sets with short rest times. DE Days for me at least have like 2-3 main lifts and 6-8 accessories with of course the key accessories. My Max Effort days I feel tax my mental and physical health a lot more than DE days obviously which makes me like DE more because it allows me to lift and “max” out in a way that it isn’t going to make my body suffer for the rest of the week
I am not being critical in any way. The banded speed work totaly makes sense. I'm just a bit confused on the floor press part. The bar speed does seem slow for dynamic effort. What info am I missing on this movement?
Sharkman3472 you will mess up your elbow joint bouncing your elbows off the floor. It’s better to do 1 rep at a time. I don’t rotate dynamic effort . Movements. I just use my competition lifts, with the exception of squats, I’ll box squat with my completion stance.
That facepull tool looks fantastic
can you post more videos Dmitry...Thanks

Andrew Clarke same with dynamic effort except I’ll adjust me grip between regular and close grip.
This looks too heavy for speed day. Possibly above 70%???
Nah probably just a lot of chains
great job. what size chains are those?
we use these chains: westside-barbell.com/westside-barbell-online-store/lifting-chain/product/546-lifting-chains

When doing DE with floor press, are percentages based on a floor press max or regular bench max when using the 3 week wave?
Adrian Bräysy are your maxes that much different for the 2? Mine are the same.
@@s57iotukt55 my raw bench is 170 kg. My floor press is 145 kg (last time I did a ME on the floor press. Probably had 150 kg in me if I pushed it)
Adrian Bräysy interesting. Sounds like it would be better to use your floor press max. Better to go a little under on speed work than over.
whats the song from like 1:00 to 1:22

@@nandorgabri757 thank you so much!
what is DE
Dynamic Effort
Bar movement is way too slow for speed bench. That's closer to max effort bench with chains.
