I wonder if any of these crossfitters were chosen as young, hopeful wieghtlifters in the past, but they didn't make past a certain point as their peers progressed. Some of these guys have really great technique!
Many of my CF coaches at China come from weightlighting backgrounds tbh, so are some of the top CF athletes in China. As China doesn't have a long working out/ powerlighting culture, those coming from a WL background def have a much higher starting point.
CF has to be one of the 3 best (if not the best) advertising company in the world... They know exactly how to get people super hipped about regular snatchs that no weightlifter would brag about, and its the same with everything they do... And its not a eater review, this is real respect for how they have been have to reach so many people in si little time with exercises that have existed since forever 💪🏽
but they are not known for doing weightlifting....or gymnastics, but rather for doing all of this together in a high number of repetitions still running
This is amazing! This is great to see for both sports! In no way does Li's mastery diminish the elite CrossFitters...in fact it elevates the sport of CrossFit to have someone of that caliber join the competition.
I have to say these crossfitters are really qukte good compared to previous competitions ive seen. People reading need to remember they have a day or so of doing lots of different competitions before this
As a Crossfitter, this was SO sick to see Li Dayin be dabbling! I bet so many of these elite weightlifters could crush it in the CrossFit game if they switched their training and gave it a year or two.
No. I think a few have tried and failed. Even Olympic weight lifters suck and workouts like 30 clean and jerks for time. It was in that brute force episode between a CrossFiter, body builder, power lifter, Olympic weight lifter
@@95VR407FA5 Yeah I remember watching that episode! I'm not saying it would be immediate, but if people like Li Dayin spent a couple of years learning barbell cycling, gymnastics, etc., they could be a force. I mean think of Mat Fraser. While he wasn't an olympic level lifter, he was still very impressive nationally. He said in his book and interviews that his understanding of weightlifting made things like muscle ups so easy. So I think when you develop such explosive power and body awareness in weightlifting, crossing over could make a lot of sense. Mattie Rogers was a teen games athlete as another example of transferability.
@95VR407FA5 the form crossfitter have at those reps is horrible. These lifts weren't created for reps past 3 at high loads, hence the horrible form. Olympic lifts are power movements, not endurance. Crossfit has bastardized oly lifts.
Bro matt fraser was in olympic weightlifting before switching. Pliesnoi anton is now trying crossfit and crushing it as a former olympian weightlifter@95VR407FA5
Honestly I make a lot of fun of crossfitters technique,,,, but at least in Asia they have competitors with actually respectable snacht technique... The one I see in the USA super strong but like really really bad technique.
@JundRaptor I won't say that , the level is as hight like other areas but is getting better , most of the better athletes chose play other sports but is getting better .

no, but also yes many of them were weightlifter on the past.
Pretty sure they are great too. That's just Li Dayin being beside making them look not good 😂
you are correct, this is the case for majority of these lifters. It makes the most sense as another path to take with skills theyve built
I only know the other guy in white shirt. His name is Sheng Chen, was Li's teammate at Chongqing.

Li doin side quest 😂😂😂😂
Dude with the blue shirt was impressive, lifting with no knee sleeves, no belt, no lifted shoes, no wrist wrap, no tape on fingers.
I was surprised any had belts. Generally people don't use belts on snatch as the bar can catch it and fail the lift
A wild Li Dayin, the competition is which crossfitter can get second place
Lin must have been thinking when do we reach 150
Make it180
It's Li, not Lin

Great encouragement for these CrossFit athletes.
The guy with blue shirt has a very solid pull to be honest
I thought this was a troll, but no. wtf
He power snatched the whole competition
You mean muscle snatch
@@EEwolN no, he meant Power snatch. There was no muscle snatches in this whole video, bruh!
Oh yeah bro, no squat snatch at all, I thought it was the first phase, he muscle snatch the whole first phase
Olympic >> Elite >> Pros >>>>> More than average > Normal people.
Everyone there did such an astonishing job, congratz for everyone, I am amazed!
INDEED 🤷🏿♂️!!
Li Dayin is different breed
Bro casually mogged everyone lol
140 snatch is crazy for normies
140kg is crazy for everyone.

Why is Dayin here lmao
So they're not required to do full snatch? Power is exceptEd?

Who was the guy in the blue? Idk the athletes that well…
I thought this was gonna be a comparison video between crossfitters and a Dayin lift montage, but no, he's actually just there. LOL.
That guy in blue shirt has superb techniq
Everyone in Asia lifting heavy and being chill about it
This is like going back to the beginning area of the game when you beat it lol
Who’s the guy in the blue shirt?
Hope to see more content like this. Tian Tao when lol
This is what separates the pros vs you.
Li is like “oh a light warm up”
Lin: You guys are so nice. Doing the warm up with me.
Some say Li Dayin is still waiting for lift 150.
full snatch crossfitter vs power snatch li dayin
13:30 was sick.
Blue shirt Guy is a beast !! And definitely have a weightlifting background. That start position and angles can’t exist in crossfit 😂
so who won??
Lu Dayin pb is 30-40kg heavier than last round weights 😂
why do you even bother to ask?
why is there a mexican guy there?
jumped the border as usual
Hope these CrossFitters got some tips from Li Dayin!
14:55 sigue haciendo un Power Snapchat no hay manera de ganarle😂
Li taking a walk in the park
💪💯
they all built like crazyyy
WADA regulated elite lifter vs "freestyle"

This is the most idiotic comment here…go home and sit down
He's a world champ, multiple times Asian champ, and world record holder, I feel you're doing him injustice in saying he couldn't hang in weightlifting
ling ling dayin doing his thing
Normal people vs national team
You should envited guilherme malheiros to represent for crossfiters. He have the best technic.
all the way to China?
He’s incredibly good, but wouldn’t stand the slightest chance.
