This is a video I've come back to many times over the last few years, and I'm sure I will come back many more times in the years to come. It's so lovely. Thank you for this
It’s amazing to watch these little-seen videos in the context of your current success, both as Florist and Emily Sprague :) I’m a huge fan, keep it up!
Beautiful sounds as ever Emily. Makes a change to see someone coaxing such loveliness from a small system, instead of some modular monster making sonic facts!! :)
Gorgeous, thanks for sharing! Curious what frames is doing vs directly patching ansible into the Morph. Also, if you roll your finger slowly over the LED faders you may find that as a better approach vs using the FINE.
Hello Emily...How are you achieving that random step behavior with Kria? I've been dreaming about someone (scannerdarkly) porting White Whales step behavior options to Kria ever since I made the switch...also...you have been a source of much inspiration so thank you dearly :)
thanks! the harmonic oscillator is really cool but it's big and i personally always felt like i wanted to use a filter with the harmonic output, which i used a lot, so that combination was a lot of space for a 104hp case. i would consider getting another for my studio if i ever decide to go back to a larger setup. mark verbos makes great stuff.
hi emily, what advice would u give someone looking to get into eurorack? i absolutely love your modular instrumentals and i'd love to make music like this but the world of modular seems pretty daunting : 0
second on Phil's suggestion - Chris Meyer's LearningModular site is great - you may want to pick up the new book: Patch & Tweak also. This may become the ultimate reference material for modular synthesis.
What is the lit up flat module on the table at left side with moving round parts? It seems to be generating the initial sound which is wonderful with your patching.
Beautiful video! How do you get kria to scroll through the sequence randomly like that? I don't know how to accomplish that without teletype, but it seems immensely helpful!
It amazes me how you are able to change smoothly with new modules and get a consistent beautiful sound. With the Monome module and controllers is it easy to break from your programmed patch so you can improvise? And then are you able to get back to your programmed patch?
Bill McGuire Bill McGuire Thanks for listening! The monome controllers are very performance friendly and depending on what you have them controlling, the patch can definitely change quite a bit. As long as you remember what you're changing then you should be able to get back to what you originally had. There are also probability settings for every parameter so you can make it a bit randomized and take that approach too.
MrYunsnare Thanks for listening :-) The Varigate was really awesome, but I personally didn't feel like I was getting a lot of use out of it. It can make really nice complex sequences which is cool, but you have to sort of program it with those little sliders which I never wanted to do. I use a lot of LFOs and modulation to keep my sequences interesting, which is the method I prefer. I also would only ever use the first and maybe second output on the Varigate. Felt like a lot of space for something I didn't really need. Now the only sequencer that I have is the ansible + monome grid , which feels perfect for the music that I am usually making with my modular, and gives me rack space for other things.
I also love the look of the monome and asked for the name, but the crazy thing is the price. It seems that it can do a lot more than a simple step sequencer, but the stupid thing is there is no thing that is as beautiful and only a step sequencer for a decent price :/
Beautiful, glad this was on my recommendations
you were here, cool
i’ve been coming back to this one for years. feels like a familiar place i’ve never been to. thank you
très joli moment musical - belle session - bravo
The detailed patch information is very helpful and generous of you, especially for those of us just getting started with modular. Thank you!
Tim Cosgrove of course! thanks for listening :-)
so inspiring :) love the sounds you can pull out
Ann annie?!
This is a video I've come back to many times over the last few years, and I'm sure I will come back many more times in the years to come. It's so lovely. Thank you for this
This is what my dreams are made of. Beautiful sounds and I love the visual as well, the mix of nature and tech.
Lovely sounds, like your minimal setup, fantastic...
I adore your "Water Memory" album! Subscribed.
best patch made with the mangrove i've seen! beautiful!
Simply wonderful.. Using all my favourite module also
I'm constantly amazed at how you generate these complex rhythms. Random yet musical and always beautiful. I hope you keep making videos.
Gorgeous. Scrummy warbles
I love your work !!! A lot of people lack the artistry, the humor, the irony, the fun quirky, qualities that you bring to the party.
John Martini 😂
This was a little moment of peace, thankyou.
Love your setup
That's a really... just... dang. pleasant. setup. to lookat/listento.
This setup is the dream. I'd kill for that Space Echo...
this is beautiful thank u for including the patch notes
I saw that this clip had a Keith McMillen mixer and clicked on it.. I liked and subscribed asap

Really interesting voicing out of that Mangrove, which I have heard _about_ but not knowingly heard. More explorations of this voicing plz.
Just stumbled on your music via youtube, I think I've listened to everything you have uploaded now, really like what you are doing.
I could not understand less... But... You really made my day
Magic set-up.......🎛🎛🔬🕉
Awesome! Nice Space Echo next to the modular as well!
Nice sound you've got going there. I think I have control surface envy now.
Nice! Clean and "simple"...
please never stop posting these videos
Incredible sounding. Like the idea of less is more especially when just starting out and less is what you have. 😀
Really lovely. Thanks for recording it!
Looks so beautyful
Dang, so good. Makin' me regret selling my Mangrove.
r benyy?!! all my favorites are in this comment section including emily, so wild haha.
Great as always! You forgot to list the crystals in your set up though
Ah, something about this setup is making the Morphagene in reverse sound super warm. Glad I found the post.
Beautiful sounds as ever Emily. Makes a change to see someone coaxing such loveliness from a small system, instead of some modular monster making sonic facts!! :)
Steve Apostolides Thank you!
Wonderful
Love this. Love the new album. I have that same guild guitar from your other videos.
Ahh yes... the classic space echo desk riser.
This slaps. Ur an inspiration
Just great. I need to find some room for plant life on my bench!
Well done this is absolutely incredible
Excited to see the more pared down approach! Something I'm very much into right now
Thoroughly enjoyed this
Very nice. Love it.
I love this so organic
Gorgeous!
this is wonderful
great
beautiful..
Very nice. It sounds like it should be on the Life is Strange soundtrack.
this is really beautiful
A beautiful sound👍 Have just stumbled across your channel which needs further investigation.
PS A Space Echo! I am envious.
amazing

I covet your Roland Space Echo. Just sayin'. Cool vibe on your track, thanks for sharing the patch list.
how do i learn how to do this???? this is awesome
That was soo nice
Magic!
So inspiring your music. I know there is your songs on youtube audiolibrary, but can we use on podcasts?
NICE!
V Nice! :)
Modular + sunlight makes the plant grow.

Would you ever consider releasing this stuff? I would gladly pay for recordings of this kind of stuff from you :)
what's the brand of the sequencer and the knobs ? It's so beautiful! so minimal looking ! please tell me what 's the model
Monome makes those devices. That's the grid and the arc4
Healing sounds. What is the device with the turning knobs in the bottom left of frame?
That is a Monome Arc. monome.org/docs/arc/
Jonathan P Thanks :-) yup it's an arc by monome ^^ amazing people, amazing tools
Amazing track. I've noticed Verbos HO is missing from your videos. It wasn't a fit anymore? thanks :)
thanks! the harmonic oscillator is really cool but it's big and i personally always felt like i wanted to use a filter with the harmonic output, which i used a lot, so that combination was a lot of space for a 104hp case. i would consider getting another for my studio if i ever decide to go back to a larger setup. mark verbos makes great stuff.
lovely :)

modulargrid.net to research modules, learningmodular.com/ to learn definitions and tutorial vids

relaxing 2 this
Howgreat video! How can the Monome control the Euroroack? What interface are you using for it? thanks
Monome now makes quite a few really beautiful eurorack modules : ) highly suggest checking them out monome.org/modular/
Would you recommend the K-Mix. Do you use it as an audio interface as well?
What is the lit up flat module on the table at left side with moving round parts? It seems to be generating the initial sound which is wonderful with your patching.
Eleni Eliades it's a Monome Arc; a midi controller running a sequencer in one of the Ansible modules
Here from Disrupt TV
Beautiful video! How do you get kria to scroll through the sequence randomly like that? I don't know how to accomplish that without teletype, but it seems immensely helpful!
I would also like to know how this is achieved!!!!
takijng a closer look, it appears the Oc is clocking ansible, i dont know much about the ornament and crime apps but it seems to be the key :)
actually i have no idea, that blue cable disappears :(
Are u a fan of the Keith M mixer? Debating getting one...

Is the ER301 difficult to learn?
Nice. What's the green box on the right?
cyberprimate That's the Oto Machines BAM reverb
Emily Sprague, are you the Emily Sprague of the guitar band "Emily Sprague"?
cyberprimate Ha yes - the project is called "Florist" now (me+my two best friends) but I used to make guitar music under my own name before that.
Damned, I really love your work... no more varigate 8+ voltage block ? What was your thoughts on it ? Keep going, see you at the next vid !
MrYunsnare Thanks for listening :-) The Varigate was really awesome, but I personally didn't feel like I was getting a lot of use out of it. Emily Sprague thank you, I understand your point of view ! In fact, it's the voltage block that I found really nice but I really need quantizers !
Hey! What kind of sequencer is that on the left? On the table I mean.
that's a monome Grid
This is awesome. Where did you get that 6U case?
I think I read in another video it's a custom Dark Modular case
Love it! Have you messed with time lag accumulation on the Morphagene?
So so good! Quick question: Have you ever compared the OTO BAM to something like the Eventide Space or Strymon BigSky??
nice:) is that a sequencer on the left side?
eurorack: upper left is ornament + crime, lower left is ER-301. on the left side of the table is a monome grid + arc
I also love the look of the monome and asked for the name, but the crazy thing is the price. It seems that it can do a lot more than a simple step sequencer, but the stupid thing is there is no thing that is as beautiful and only a step sequencer for a decent price :/
I liked it before I listened. Just for the space echo.
Hallo...how many HP is large your rack?
104 hp per row (208 total)
You have a space echo :)
this is great man i love smoiking weed and playing minecraf
👌✨
❤🤙

I'm sure it's just my OCD, but seeing that Space Echo with a plant on it gives me anxiety. The very mellow vibes track does not however
