The faded pages is because you can rip out the page. That’s why it is a single page. Love the outcome with the alcohol markers. I’m testing them, because I find it difficult to use them.

I’m from the US (Indiana). I don’t have an instagram account, though. I would enjoy some occasional color alongs, but also really enjoy seeing explanations of your finished pages and the tutorials where you show several different mediums/tips for coloring (like your cloud and background tutorials). Maybe one for water? Trees? I struggle with pictures with a lot of leaves/trees/grass as I want some variation in the greens to keep it from feeling one note.

I live in the north Georgia mountains in the USA. TH-cam is the only social media I use so I do not have Instagram. I am coloring this season in Johanna's Christmas book and it is my first real coloring book as a new colorist and I am a little nervous about messing my picture up. I just did the first page with the Stag on the wall. I took her off the wall by drawing a simple body going off to the left and colored the plaque like it is a decorative harness. I colored the background with a Kalour soft pastel pencil in Payne's Grey and then smudged and smoothed it out with a Q tip to even the color. I then set the soft pastel using Golden Satin Glazing Liquid. I am now ready to put the finishing touches of "bling", deepen some colors and to add a wintery effect. I watched your video to figure out how to make it look like it is snowing. I am scared to death to use my white paint pens on my almost finished picture. How do you get the courage to draw all over your pictures? Did you practice a lot first on just plain backgrounds you did on practice paper? What if you do not like the placement of the dots and snowflakes after you have done them? Can you erase white acrylic makers done over soft pastels or pencils? Any other idea to give a snowing effect on a soft pastel background?

If I’m working with pastels, I’ll spray after I’ve done all my pastel work so it doesn’t move around on the page when I go over the top with other mediums. Otherwise, I spray right at the very end! Hope that helps 🥰🌈💖
