Lovely video Kyra! This is going to be great to back to and reference at a later date 💕 for part 2 you could focus on creating different effects like metal, glass, glowing, different light sources, fire 🥰
HUGELY helpful video! I’ve just started with the cozy coloring genre and love it. I’ll never leave the colored pencils behind but there is something really satisfying about how fast the markers come together.
This is a really awesome video. I am so grateful to you for sharing these patterns, and you even listed all the colors u used. I have noticed that most uploaders that do Ohuhu coloring don't share what marker colors they're using, which is sad for those just learning and aren't familiar with the colors yet. I have also noticed that the few that do share have way more subscribers. Anyway, I appreciate you and your videos and I have no doubt your channel is going to be very successful. Much love!!
Even though I don’t use markers, this was still really inspiring! I feel like I could try recreating these with my coloured pencils. Can’t wait to see more patterns from you, perhaps light effects and nature patterns like trees etc…
Thank you so much for your video! I just did my first background with alcohol markers and I felt pretty discouraged. It’s nice to see that mistakes are soooo normal ❤️❤️ and just part of the process. I am a recent subscriber and your doing such a good job 👍🏻
Your colouring journal has been so helpful I organised all my colouring and activity books and completed 4 colouring pages this week. I’ll tag you on instagram in one of them. Thank you for all the useful tips I love the textures you have created here will be practicing them over the next few days. ❤❤❤❤
I might need to rewatch this to attempt these textures myself!! 🤔 What type of paper did you use? I will check the description as well. As we know, the medium/paper combo makes a huge difference!! 🥰
I knew of the water effect one :) It was kinda fun, but also difficult to replicate it with other mediums...maybe my posca white is kinda trolling me too...still on the search for a more opaque acrylic white pen xD I would be interested in recreating your wood texture without the use of alcohol markers, because I only have double-sided coloring books (for now xD).
Yes! Alcohol markers always bleed through unless you’re using specialty paper. Which is why I only use them in single sided books. I love my ohuhu markers and haven’t tried any other brands but check out Sarah Renae Clarke’s channel! She just did a massive comparison of every alcohol marker brand 😉❤️
I was wondering if you could do a video on making friends with your Posca markers? The hard nibs and the untimely paint vomits make them very difficult for me.... 😢
@@apicturedpurpose I had a cute mental image that might be fun for a fall/winter seasonal picture and no skill to pull it off... A turkey on top of a jack-o-lantern wearing a Santa hat and maybe next to a Christmas tree!! 🎄
Hi, can you show us how to find primary colors with Oohu markers? I have the 320 sets of fine/brush tip markers, and I want to color a Christmas coloring book from Vivy Tinta Fuzzy Hygge, but I can't find a great primary red, green, or brown. Please, Please, Kyra, help me.
I can't with all the jump cuts. Really? How are people suppose to listen if there's never a quite moment and you just sound like you never take a breath. It's not normal to hear people speak like that.
Yes please a part 2...
Maybe with just pencils ??
Leathe,r marble effect, light effects etc, different kinds of fur...etc
That is such a great idea! I'll definitely try to make a tutorial about pencil techniques!
@@lizzbeth1066 I love this idea!

I used the ohuhu marker pad! But I’m sure there is some great marker paper out there that you can purchase. I just haven’t tried any myself ❤️🌈

I totally understand the white paint pen struggle haha! I’m definitely gonna do a tutorial on colored pencil textures in the future 🫶🏻✨💕
The Honolulu Bs are brush and fine and regular Honolulus are brush and chisel.
Oh thank you for correcting me! 💖🫶🏻
I don’t own any ohuhu markers. Are there other alcohol markers you could recommend? Also do these bleed through?
Yes! Alcohol markers always bleed through unless you’re using specialty paper. Which is why I only use them in single sided books. I totally understand! I’m still trying to find the perfect white acrylic marker 😅💖
@apicturedpurpose I'm still trying to be brave enough to highlight anything, lol!! 😂
I was the same! And now I’m addicted to acrylic marker highlights 😅
@apicturedpurpose 🤗😍😂

I would really like to get better in learning textures for grass and snow😉🫶🏻
