A great haul, indeed! This makes me nostalgic for video stores. Most of the videos I own (no more VHS, sadly) I bought used at video stores and used bookstores - nothing compares to the thrill of a "good find".
It's all about the thrill of the hunt, that's why we don't seek out single titles and stuff online, we try to find it in the wild.
I miss video stores so much, VHS collecting was the best
I used to have a VHS collection, 1000+ tapes. I moved country and when I got back my Dad had given the whole collection away (I'd put them in storage with him when living abroad). Miss some of those films as they've never been released since. I do have 3,500 films now but no space for VHS, although looking at this haul makes me super jealous.

Great video, guys - what a haul! It's like a love letter from the '80s. I'm gonna show my age...I remember that Don Johnson music video. There's a song called "Heartbeat" (not the same "Heartbeat" from the end credits of "Manhunter").
I think "Murder in New Hampshire" is a docu-drama about that teacher who got her student to kill her husband. And I remember "Hider in the House" not sucking like I expected - Gary Busey gave a good performance. Doesn't "The Ambulance" also have James Earl Jones? That might be a fun review.
Yeah good chance we will review some of these movies after we get around to watching them. Heartbeat by Red 7 I'm sure is better than all of the songs by Don Johnson combined.

What an amazing amazing treasure trove of videos some of those movies I’ve never even heard of but you know that there’s gonna be some really cool gems in there somewhere ,,I’ve got a local thrift store that actually sells a lot of clothes old clothes but they also have a huge selection of DVDs and VHS tapes I need to get back up there and see what I can find …great video!
Banner haul boys! Pro tip from a friend of mine who worked in a video rental store back when those existed. Every machine spools VHS tapes at a ever so slightly different rate. When tapes have sat for a long time parts of the spool will have loosened at different rates. To set the tracking to your machine, when you pop the tape in don't hit play. Instead, fast forward it and let it run all the way to the end. Then it will automatically rewind to the beginning. This spools the tape and sets the tracking to your particular machine.

Quick funny thing about that flick, Satan's Blade. When I was renting VHS tapes back in the '90s, there was a place that had that movie, same edition too, from the cover art I could see. Right next to it was another movie, called Satan's Blood, which had the same exact cover art. The layout was a bit different, but it was still that same illustration. I rented Satan's Blood, but I don't think I ever got around to renting Satan's Blade, unfortunately. Satan's Blood is a really fun Spanish flick from the '70s. I always found it weird that both movies used the same art and had such similar titles and still wonder why it was that way. I don't even think the two tapes were from the same company, but I could be wrong.

For sure, Graduation Day, Blood Hook, Madhouse, I reviewed all of those. Now that you have it, I would love to see you guys review Blood Hook. I really didn't like it too much, but it has some strange humour in it, so it would make for a funny review from you guys I think.

@@FrightfullyForgotten Its' soo good. Busey plays a newly released psych patient and sees a house up for sale in the neighborhood and decides to just live in the walls. Then Mimi Rogers and her family move in a he becomes obsessed with her. It's an awesome thriller.

Ooof. Demented (1980). I remember always seeing that VHS cover at my local Blockbusters as a kid and that crazy lady on the front (and the pics on the back) with the meat cleaver and blood freaked me out. That image burnt into my retina and my young mind could only imagine the horrors that lay within. Finally rented it from Netflix (the old CD in the mail days *itear in eye*) later in life and was supremely disappointed - SPOILER ALERT best left forgotten. But Harry Reems' mustache is a thing of majesty, though.
Haha oh we knew there would be some bad stuff in this haul! But if the cover is great it was worth the price

Yeah, I watched Demented a few weeks ago. Another channel I follow said it was "I Spit on your Grave, but shit." I agreed. It's not as graphic (thankfully), but it's awful. It's hard to enjoy a movie when the lead is so unlikable. I don't know if it was her bad acting, or she was told to play it that way, but her whiny voice really made me dislike the character. But Harry Reems porn-stache was great.

May I suggest a little film called ‘Satan War’ (1979) for review. It was broadcast here in Vancouver on a station called CKVU in the 1990s. Usually aired around one or two in the morning. Just in time for some post bar hopping munchy time (7-11 burritos and a couple of Pilsners.)
Anyway, it is vital to find a copy of the TV broadcast as the VHS version does not contain the baffling Black Mass portion at the start of the movie.
