Gotta love Rutger Hauer. One of my favs with him was Blind Fury.....Classic! Have a frightful Friday, gents!
Thanks Pal, happy Frightful Friday to you too!
The Dutch Paul Newman.
One of my all time favorites. So badass!
Great job as always! Another one for the list😊
Keep an eye out for it when you go movie hunting!
@@FrightfullyForgotten you betcha!
Neil Duncan (who plays the partner) seems to have been in everything (last saw him in Elementary). He played a similarly straight-laced cop in the 80s as the original sidekick to Mark McManus in the very long-running Scottish crime thriller series Taggart. No matter how long it's been or what else he's done, he's always Peter Livingstone to me lol!
Makes sense you'd seem him in more stuff than we have if he's in allot of British TV
I would love to watch a movie live with you guys! Your both so talented. This one i haven't seen. Im gonna check it out now. Thank you guys. You make my weekend!
It's on Tubi right now so check it out for free, cheers!
@@FrightfullyForgotten Awesome! Thanks for the info!
Weird how I never saw this on the video shelves back in the day. It rocks!
I remember seeing this cover allot but we never bothered to check it out until recently.
Hahaha I just picked this up on bluray always loved this movie. Dick Durkin 😂😂 the shady club manager was a singer in a group called the blockheads Ian Dury. Nice Cameo role. Always wanted Satan to be more of a threat in the final battle though he's a little too easy 😅😅😅😅 great vid 👌
yeah the final showdown could have been longer with maybe Harley getting his ass kicked a bit before having a a big comeback.
@FrightfullyForgotten yeah I was disappointed with "Satan's performance " he could have tortured them easily before he got taken out 🤣
Oh, I've seen their video for "Hit me with your rhythm stick" - it's an experience!
@@parisgreen4600 lol yeah 👌
Hey boys , never heard of this film , kim s lovely ta ta ' s are always something to look foward to . Beautiful canadian lady
Kim’s actually a scouser!
I love this movie.
A friend of mine hates it.
He couldn't understand how ridiculous it was.
This is from a guy who's favourite movie is Terminator 2: Judgement day.
Fair enough but he took that seriously and criticised
Split second
as if he was expecting it to be like Howard's end.
haha it's a silly Buddy Cop movie in the future with a flooded London and monsters, how can you take it seriously?
@@FrightfullyForgotten
He was complaining that no-one had cellphones.
Do you guys ever live stream? I feel your banter would be Hella fun to listen to while playing games
haha no we've never done a live stream... we've talked about it, but neither of us are really keen on it honestly. But we might try it out
@@FrightfullyForgottenyour fans would love the real time interaction 😅😊
There was a lot of characters like Dick that popped up in movies throughout the '80s & '90s.
They would portray a sort of perfect man for around that time;
Clean cut, professional, immaculately dressed,
polite, courteous,
maybe a little nervous and always plays by the book.
There was Buckaroo Banzai,
Dick Dourbon, Agent Dale Cooper and many more.
I've loved this film since it first came out lol own multiple copies. Don't have the poster yet,but I will.
Good luck finding that poster!
Rutgar hauer so great as the international terrorist in stallones Nighthawks ' 81 release 😅😊
😊❤ great movie
Good film! 👍
I've been a huge fan of this movie since ever I first saw it in the cinema in 1992! Mostly it's because of Rutger Hover's performance. He can take a b-movie and make it special. I've always loved his acting!
I love that whole future dystopian set & global warming stuff. It's part of world building & atmosphere that sets this dark tone in the movie.
The one thing that I have always deeply disliked tho', is the movie villain. It makes no sense. It looks like a monster. It suggests that it's some sort of a mutant or whatever, but to me that part never made any sense. That's a huge gap and wasted potential imo. They should've done the villain differently. Throughout the movie it keeps building this suspense and I love that it's never revealed what it is. You feel that it's somewhat supernatural and I don't mind that - I actually love it, but you also get the feeling that the killer is super intelligent, but then you see it in the end and it's just like a Xenomorph clone - like a beast. How can that beast infiltrate human society and move around unnoticed? I never liked that part, but aside from that great movie.
A bit of a Bladerunner knock off also with the futuristic, dark, rainy dystopian tone.
Yeah totally get what you mean about the villain, it's kinda half baked in the way they say it has something to do with the occult and Satan, but then it's just kind of a alien. We figured the creature can move around a bit freely because the city is flooded and it lives in the water (kind of) haha. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
What do u think they were going for ? A terminator , predator , alien type film all mish mashed ?😅😅😊
AND Blade Runner! Yeah they were totally attempting a best hits of 80's sci-fi action
They don't make 'em like Rutger Hauer anymore. 😢
Seoul - great in the Hitcher and Nighthawks
I love SPLIT SECOND but it seems like they did not know what the tone was supposed to be. Why did it not kill him when it had the chance, and is it a serial killer or a monster or both?
@@mikeadams8027 oh yeah the tone is totally all over the place but it's a rare case where it seems to work somehow
