- Travelling alone is one of the best experiences you can do to really understand yourself and grow your confidence. I've had some of the most life changing moments when I was exploring on my own and it really clarified my own path for me, instead of just listening to the opinions of others. I know it can be intimidating for a lot of people to get out there on there own or they think it won't be as fun as going with someone else, but I promise you there is so much good that can come out of it. Travel blurs the boundaries between countries and people. When you meet people from different countries, you realize that only politicians have problems. Ordinary people always understand each other. Last year I visited Georgia and Turkey, very beautiful, warm and hospitable countries.

Cheers for the Video! Apologies for butting in, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you thought about - Siyndrew Dumbfounded System (probably on Google)? It is a great one off product for getting rid of your fear of driving without the normal expense. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my buddy finally got astronomical results with it.
I was scared but now I have been all over the world and actually appreciate doing it on my own. No schedules no expectations just take off and go when you want.

It's the best way to travel. Love traveling alone. Yes it's a bit scary but the intrigue is most of the fun. I have had some crazy things happen on my trips wouldn't have it any other way.
Great tips especially about preparation in which I didn't do alot of which I now I know would've saved me some stress lol. Thailand was my first country alone and I feel it's the perfect place for gateway into Asia for solo travelers as there are so many tourists.

Awesome video, My first was Ukraine, alone 😊, Thank God the neighborhood fell in love with me. I find the layovers suck, Last year Asia and purchased a condo, Love to travel, Be Safe, Belus
In 2012 I went to South America with a tour but then I went to Galapagos with a friend for about 10 days, so I experienced both sides, it was an amazing holiday! ❤️
That would be EPIC. South America is filled with so much to see.

I completely agree with all your tips! As an introvert, I'm not really an outgoing, "people" person. I tend to be quiet and shy around people I don't know. But I do love to travel. It's my passion. If money was not an issue, I would just be traveling constantly. Last year wasn't a good year for me, and I really needed an escape, like literally leave where I'm from and go somewhere. I saved most of my income, lived frugally, and just ate cheap food for months. Then I jumped in and booked my flights/hotels. I've always wanted to visit Auschwitz, because of its dark history and to pay respect to those who perished. So I went to Krakow, Poland and booked a tour from there to the memorial site. I also when to Helsinki, Finland. And from there I booked a cruise for a day trip to St. Petersburg, Russia (US Passport/Citizens need a Visa to visit Russia, but with this lifehack I didn't need one). Best decision I ever made. I was able to see 3 beautiful cities in a span of 9 days! This was little to no sleep since I was constantly on the go. Truly an unforgettable trip, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. It did cost me a lot, but the memories are priceless. It can be done. Just save up, do your research, and dive right in!

@@AlinaMcleod Yes! Perhaps this year I might go to London to visit a friend of mine. Also might consider Kyiv, Ukraine and go visit Pripyat and Chernobyl. But it can get pricey. But hopefully all goes well. Thanks for all you do! Keep up the good work!

I often travel by myself even married due to mine and my husband’s schedules and I video call him.
I am open to travel to any destination except war and dangerous zones.
I have not been to a travel agency in years because the destinations I have been traveling I can travel independently but I still take bus, walk sightseeing tours, sometimes in group, sometimes privately if it doesn’t cost me an arm and a leg.
I understand that not everyone likes layovers but I do because if they are long enough I can take the opportunity to get out if the airport even if I need a visa to get to know the country a bit and I make arrangements beforehand.
You can now do Transiberian tours independently if you research hard enough and plan well.
I know that to travel to places like Tibet and North Korea you need to go to a travel agency and they do take on solo travellers and what they do to keep your costs lower is they will put you in a room with a person of the same sex as you, hopefully similar interests and all and you or you can get a minder all to yourself but that costs a lot of money.

I’ve not done much travelling, mostly Europe and the US once. It was very similar to my own country. The last country I set foot in was Qatar. I was there for the day, it was a strange experience.

Good morning beautiful. The only time I traveled alone outside my country was from Italy 🇮🇹 to the United States 🇺🇲 which is my home. On the other hand, I have traveled alone domestically to a couple of cities around the United States 🇺🇲. Great information!
That's awesome! A lot of people don't do it at all because they think it won't be as interesting, but even small trips alone can really make you look at the world in different ways.

I'm a somewhat experienced traveller who has visited 20 countries - and counting - and mostly alone . You provide excellent advice for folks who may be reluctant to strike out on their own . I agree : do some research before you go - that's half the fun . I have also hooked up on tours ,even with just me and the driver/guide sometimes .It's a great way to balance out travelling by yourself and benefiting from the company of others .
Thank you! Yes, I think tours are wonderful for a break of being on your own and you can honestly sometimes even save money by doing them instead of renting everything on your own. Glad you've had such awesome travels!

It was really cool! I didn't spend much time in Chennai since it was just an overnight stop on the way to Andaman Islands, but India in general was a very diverse and powerful country to experience.
Alina Mcleod You should plan to go to Chennai and other South Indian places. If you want to relax you should visit Auroville, Pondicherry which is a 2 hour drive from Chennai.

There are some places you shouldn't travel to by yourself or with anyone else either. Such as parts of Mexico that are controlled by the drug cartels who outgun the police.
I won't recommend it for my kids.
