Dan Rather kind of started the "let's film me standing in a hurricane" thing. He did that with hurricane Carla in Galveston back in 1961. That alone garnered him national attention, but he was ALSO the first journalist to air a radar MAP of a hurricane. He did this by getting a meteorologist to draw a rough outline of the Gulf Coast on transparent film then lay it over the actual radar screen, to show both it's form and it's scale. It changed the way people saw hurricanes.

I’m from St Pete Fl, and I and the people of St Pete and the rest of Florida thank you for your commitment to helping us rebuild. Oh and those botanical gardens are the sunken gardens, great place.
As a Mississippi citizen who lives close to & works in the city where Farve lives…we all knew he wasn’t a good person. I was a paramedic for several years & we got multiple calls to his property for injuries related to drinking & other unsafe behavior. And of course he *expected* EMS to drop everything else to rush there including for our only rescue helicopter at the time to respond…even if the reported injury wasn’t that severe. He is also typically very rude. But businesses always bend over backwards for him & his family due to his connections with local & state government. No one here except his most diehard fans were surprised to find out he was involved in stealing money from the welfare program to fund a sports building for his daughter. I imagine that’s just the tip of the iceberg of his criminal financial involvement with both local & state gov officials. I hope they keep digging.
Also hope they investigate our current governor, most of the state congress & audit *ALL* of the supposed spending they’ve done! Because citizens here are tired of hearing about billions coming into the state in recent years but not seeing *ANY EVIDENCE* of it being spent to help those it was intended for or spent PERIOD!!

There is no way in hell MTG could have made that shot from a helicopter. Even though well trained soldier couldn't do that unless they were specially trained to. The mental calculations that you have to make are tremendous. Someone shot the hog and she just took a picture next to it.
