Audio is sounding better and the videos are getting better too. Nice job explaining resolution and aspect ratio. 👌🏼 Love seeing your progress.
Hey buddy! Greatly appreciated! Thank you! Glad that you’re enjoying the style of video. Happy to be progressing too’ 💪🏻
Thanks, but i still dont know how to select 16:9 on my gopro. Which is what I was hoping you would explain.
Hey Cameron, if you got to 2:08 - you'll see the various resolutions + aspect ratio for you to select. the numbers on the bottom row " 5K, 4K, 2.7K, 1080" are in 16:9.
Hope that helps
Me either!
@@AdventuresofRon They are all 16:9?
@@travel4fun103 yes - 16:9 are the default aspect ratios. The 4:3 aspect ratios are mentioned in the settings, e.g 2.7k 4:3. If there's no mention of 4:3, it is 16:9
@Win From Within I have that same problem with my go pro max
what effect you used to highlight circle of aspects ratio (yellow outline)
I used a gif from Giphy!
awesome info as always thanks for sharing!
JOHNNYYYY MA MAN!!!! Thank you sir! you always inspire me with your stuff!
Wonderful video Ron! Amazing
Thanks Kristinan! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Great as always Ron 🇲🇽🤙🏽
appreciated it Christian! 😁
thank you this helped me out allot. 2.7 and higher for now on and always 4.3. That example between 16 and 4.3 was great.Going to shoot another RC video tomorrow.
Glad to hear buddy! i'm always on 4:3 aspect ratio too! unless i'm looking to shoot super slo-mo shots!
Very helpful! Thank you so much! Just bought my first GoPro yesterday :)
You are most welcome!! Since you're a new user, I'd recommend checking the video on protune out too - really helpful to know!
thank you for the video, very imformational.
Thank you my friend
Excellent information.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video 😁
Duuuuuuuuuude that tone on the color bars!!!!! I'm wearing headphones!!
😅
Hey,
Gopro max footage is getting pixalated after exporting from premier pro and looks grainy. ANy solution ? shot in 2.7k
For GoPro MAX, i typically shoot in 5.6k 30 - they'll levae me with a 1080 export when re-framed. ideally the way to capture the best image quality in Max is to always ensure that your lens is cleaned. & ensure that you bump up your ISO in low-light conditions. I use anywhere from 800-1600 during low-light.
Explanation is very good, thank you very much.👍🏻
You are welcome! hope it helped you understand some of the benefits of capturing i the various aspect ratio!

♥️
Way to go Ron! It was good to memorize the points again :)
Yeah!! Can never get enough of the fundamentals! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
thank u Ron, ur videos are an inspiration for beginners like me. hoping to become a pro like u one day
Thank you for those kind words! very much appreciated. feel free to ask me any questions! always down to help! 😁
Your vlog editings are great 💪👊👏
Appreciate those kind words man. I must say though, i kindof hate that "reverse scene" i cut at the intro. 😂 was too lazy to edit an intro & went for the shortcut! 😂😂😂
Aeesome explanation! Thanks! What PC set up would you recommend to be capable of editing 4k videos? Have you discussed this topic already in one of your videos?
Thanks Ricardo! Well, the latest MacBook Pro 2019 edition is pretty decent for 4k workflows. I’m not too familiar with desktop though
Thank you for explaining that simply
You’re most welcome! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Thanks for the video
Best wishes from the uk
Thanks Jason!
Nice tips! Love to watch ur vids
Thank you my friend! Looking forward to cover more topics! Let me know what els you’re keen to hear!
Great explanations
Thanks! 😁
Great video bro, I like your temperament 🙌🤟🤟
Thank you! 😁
thank's - realy proffessional
much appreciated Mohsen!
So greeeaaaaattt video!!!!!! It was exactly the information I was searching
Hey Iago- thanks buddy! 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
hi! but superview 16:9 captures the same frame as 4: 3 wide. Where is the additional information from in 4:3?
So SuperView is basically a 4:3 shot that has been dynamically stretched to a 16:9 aspect ratio. so - compared to a traditional 16:9 shot, you're capturing a "taller frame" when shooting in SuperView
@@AdventuresofRon Thanks i was comparing sv 4k with 4k 4:3 and didnt find differences fov , now i understand
Which setting is better to shoot a vlog with gopro
hey man, if you're shooting indoor id recommend to set your gopro to PAL (50Hz) - that'd prevent "flickering".
4k 25fps Linear is what i used for this vlog!
for outdoor you might want to bump your fps to 50! that way you have some flexibility to do some slo-mo shots if you wanted
Can we set a video in 9:16 ratio (instagram reel ratio)
for sure. select a 16:9 ratio on your GoPro & then shoot vertically.
bro how cool you are wow !! Great video
thank you! 😁😁
It's too Good Ron Bro 👏👏👏
RAFAEL BROO!!!! Thank you for stopping by ma man!! trying out and experimenting with new stuff!
So I’m having trouble with the resolution on my gph9...even when I use 1080x30 my quality still looks bad on IG...any tips?
Hey Aruthuro, unfortunately Instagram compresses most video files. that said, here are some of my tips
1. Capture + export in a higher resolution + bit rate (if possible)
2. For IG, i'd never recommend the 16x9 aspect ratio - it just looks bad for the platform. Try 4x3 (1440p or 2.7k 4:3) instead.
3. Most importantly - to get the best image quality, Clean your LENS!!
@@AdventuresofRon Dude you’re awesome, thank you! Greetings from California
@@arturod.1144 you're most welcome Arturo! always happy to share! 😁😁
Do u have videos for gopro 7 ...:(
Not particularly, but most of the tips apply to all GoPros
So if u make a TH-cam video u will use the 16:9 ratio ? or maybe use the 4:3 & manipulate it in post ?
well, regardless of where i intend to post. I typcially shoot anything POV in 4:3 - because it captures a "wider field of view". & yes, when shooting in 4:3 you have more options to 'reframe' the shot in post
@@AdventuresofRon Great to know man !!
@@roygertel you're most welcome dude!
Nice❤️❤️
Thanks buddy!🙌🏻
Hi buddy. I have 2 action cameras and now I am thinking of 360 action cameras. Good luck.
✌🏻
so Gopro doesn't really record in 16:9? It just records in 4:3 and then crops down the top and bottom to turn it to 16:9?
that's right!! in fact, i prefer to record in 4:3 as it captures a "taller" frame video for a more immersive playback!
That sucks 😕
@@travel4fun103 not sure what you mean - but as an editor it makes perfect sense to have an option to catpure a "taller frame" so that there's more flexibility in post-production
@@AdventuresofRon The ability to change the aspect ratio is what sucks. I came to this video to see the explanation but I read your comment and you said the second row is ALL 16:9. Which is strange
@@travel4fun103 not sure what you mean by " The ability to change the aspect ratio is what sucks". Most cameras in the market have settings for you to change aspect ratio depending on your intended use. 🤷🏻♂️
or maybe my explanation sucks - either way thanks for dropping by & leaving a comment 😁
nice
Thanks! 🙌🏻
My way to go is: always use the max resolution possible, because I know I don't have Abe's skills regarding editing or Chriss Rogers, so at least my video will be crispy haha
Absolutely!!! It’s 2020 no one wants to shoot in 1080 anymore - unless you need the slo-mo!! + so much more benefits to capture in a higher resolution!
Hey Bro..u make really cool videos! I hope that your channel will gain allot more followers :)
Hey Daniel, appreciate the kind words buddy! I too am looking forward to pump out better content each upload!
But what's the best New Year's resolution? :-D
Ha!!! Good one Jon!! New year resolution 5k 30 😉! Jokes aside, i hope the pandemic ends and the world gets better
Is it ok if i render 2.7k 60fps to 1080 60? And by the way im excited about your slow motion topic.
For sure that’s fine. But If you’re uploading to TH-cam, I’d recommend to export in 4k (regardless of resolution you shot in). That way youtube will preserve the best quality for your upload.
For Instagram & Facebook, unfortunately it compresses your video quality. Nonetheless, I’d still recommend shooting in a higher resolution!
@@AdventuresofRon meaning i shoot in 2.7k and render at 4k?
@@TTBokTV yeah! I do that all the time! 2.7k’s my favorite setting! My clips from the moto ride was shot on 2.7k
@@AdventuresofRon can i shoot it in 60fps and render in 30?
@@TTBokTV for sure! & I actually prefer to export in 30fps. 60fps loooks tooo “unreal” 😂
the resulting image is really, really successful anyway
Really good to know!!! 😁😁😁
Funny guy. Very informative, thanks
appreciate it Freddy! 😁
You’re welcome!
What if you're shooting vertical video with the GoPro for social media like Instagram Stories... Which aspect would you go for then?
2.7k 16:9
But orientate the GoPro vertically so it becomes 9:16 when you export it 👍🏻
Cause Shooting in 4:3 and dropping in the bars to the top/bottom looks cool! 🤣
& that is right Steven! so much more flexibility to shoot in 4:3! that added "height" has so much benefits!
You hads doing my head in.
😂
👍👍👍
😁😁😁
I have a lot to learn from you, please
Personally i prefer academy ratio.
It gets the attention
Suit better on phone
And have more personality flair coming out
yeah! at the end of the day do what you feel it's best for yourself! no right or wrong! :)
this is edited in videoleap? damn
That's right!! hahah! i usually post the BTS of the edit on my instagram!! this was a couple of weeks back! mobile apps today are super amazing!!! super powerful! I only converted to premiere, because the app starts to get laggy once i go beyond 6min of 4k footage..... & the screen is too small.
@@AdventuresofRon damn anyways keep up with your amazing content i love BKK 🇹🇭 will go back definitely for phuket
Am i the first?
YES BRO!!! you’re the first!!! 😁😁😁😁
Your content, knowledge, and explanations are excellent- I just wish you wouldn’t do these 1960’s “Batman” style KAPLOW and KAPLOOY word hits. It is distracting and annoying serving no purpose at best. It cheapens your otherwise stellar content.
Hey man! thanks for your constructive feedback! appreciate it dude! im still new to this YT space - so do bear with the mediocore editing 😂
Get to the point and just tell us how to change the settings.

So much acting bro, just be yourself , too much acting to feel or look cool or funny makes me stay away from this channel.
thanks for the feedback
