    Very educational and entertaining! Thank you!
    I was wondering if I could ask for your advice. I am looking at two sets of filter-lenses for GoPro 9:
    "PolarPro Shutter ND" (#1) and "Freewell Bright Day Hybrid CPL/ND" (#2). #1 does not have a CPL layer, but lets GoPro9 to fit into underwater protective casing. #2 has CPL layer, but will not let GoPro 9 to fit into underwater protective casing, plus I am not sure if "X" Factor is present (since these are variable CPL/ND lenses). So overall, is CPL layer worth the sacrifice of not being able to use it under water? Will I have to deal with "X" FActor in Freewell filter-lenses?
    Thank you!

    • @AdventuresofRon
      @AdventuresofRon  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Dmitri! Thanks for checking the video out! good to know that you enjoyed it!
      As for filters, I'd recommend the PolarPro ND fitlers - I use them personally! I simply love the that it's a "replacement lens" - instead of "snapping" on another filter above the existing lens.
      1 additional point to note - I will NOT recommend to use ND filters underwater, as it might result in "Dark "blurry" footage - due to low-lighting conditions while diving. I'd instead recommend the Polar Pro Dive Filters

    • @AdventuresofRon
      @AdventuresofRon  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you're welcome buddy! here's my response;
      1. Yes - for diving I will recommend the Polar Pro Dive filter. Red filter typically for Blue (salt) water, Magenta filter for green (fresh) waters.
      2. Hmmm unfortunately, I have not tested freewell filters before so i am unable to provide you a feedback on it.
      3. i've only used the polar pro filters since the HERO4 - & have no complains about them!
      hope it helps!

      4K 4:3 60FPS

    • @AdventuresofRon
      @AdventuresofRon  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! well, for underwater settings, i'd typically go for 4K 4:3 60fps Wide
      White Balance: Auto
      ISO: 100 - 1600
      Sharpness: Low
      *depending on clarity & depth, you might wanna use a blue/magenta filter too

    did u say "its always easier to expose under-exposed image" ? I thought the reverse is true.

    • @AdventuresofRon
      @AdventuresofRon  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's true. Once an image is overexposed, it is hard to bring back those details/highlights that are lost. However for an under exposed image, it will be easier to bring up the highlights/shadows

    Sorry i must sound stupid, but whats the difference between ev comp and iso?

    • @AdventuresofRon
      @AdventuresofRon  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      great question! ISO is the sensitivity of the sensor to light (higher = more sensitive). Exposure compensation simply changes what the camera identifies as proper exposure.

    • @AdventuresofRon
      @AdventuresofRon  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it's might seem similar, but it has a different end result. higher ISO will introduce "noise" into your footage

    native wb is the worst to set, always get orange instead of red :)

    • @AdventuresofRon
      @AdventuresofRon  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      well, it really depends what you intend to achieve. if you like to color grade your footage in post - native is ideal.
      Native white balance accurately capture natural colors, as it captures a truer (less processed) image/video with the least amount of color correction.

    • @utube521
      @utube521 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AdventuresofRon thanks for the answer, but I ma afraid it doesn't work. here are two pics from the gp9 videos the flower real color is red, the picture where the flower looks orange is NATIVE, the other pic is 5000K (very cloudy day). and the one with 5000K is the closest color to the real color of the flower. the real color is just a bit darker than the one with 5000K. So how would I then color grade the Native to make this flower red, not orange? in both videos ND8 filter was used. these are mpv shoots and the saturation was pushed to the maximum. if saturation is on normal than the orange (native) flower becomes even more yellow (not red :) ) photos.app.goo.gl/rsEdrWsF75hiuKtT6

    • @AdventuresofRon
      @AdventuresofRon  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@utube521 well my friend, NATIVE WB is an industry standardized optimized color. It yields a minimally processed file that allow for greater & more precise color adjustment to be made in post-production. If you're not familiar with color grading/adjustments, i'd recommend to leave your WB in AUTO. In fact, i leave mine to AUTO for most instance expect when shooting Night Lapses
      p.s your side-by-side comparison isnt ideal as it wasnt shot in the same conditions.
      Lastly, here's a video of what an edited NATIVE WB will look like in post production

      @@AdventuresofRon the pics were taken 5 mins appart and on the same spot, ... it might be the standard, but we all know that GoPro has a lot of bugs and I think this is just another one. I did try to color grade the Nativ video but still could not get the really red color on the flower as it is in the reality , but you are right: it also depends on what you film and how you process it, thank you for your answers
