  • Is your dog constantly licking or chewing his paws especially after he's been outside?
A few of my previous blogs focused on environmental allergies - how they impact our dogs’ lives and how we can help them the natural way.

If your dog suffers with environmental allergies bathing your dog at home is very effective. It’s a cheap and sensible thing to do in order to remove the allergens from the coat and skin. Bathing provides immediate relief and the guideline is to bath your itchy dog at least once a week.
If your dog isn’t itchy all over and is just constantly nibbling his paws, especially after walkies, here are some natural homemade remedies you can try. These all-natural, anti-itch foot bath recipes help to heal irritated skin and soothe inflamed tissue.
Recipe 1: Warm water and organic, unpasteurized apple cider
    Recipe 2: Herbal foot soak
    Recipe 3: Oatmeal Bath
    Recipe 4: Baking soda
    Recipe 5: Epsom salts

great video, love these remedies, thank you for sharing this. Why do our dogs nibble their paws, I always worry that there is something stuck there but when I check I never find anything?

Thank you for your comment, Justina. There are few reasons why dogs do it... the most common are environmental allergies (pollen, dust, mites...), also it could be stress related ( licking ia soothing for dogs as it produces oxytocin), it also could be arthritis in older dogs... when we have painful joints we rub them, dogs can't so they lick

I tried the baking soda and water in a basin and use it to dip / rinse my dogs paws and legs before he came back in the house from running in the yard. I think his main issue is pollen allergy which he spreads all over his face and body with his paws. It's working out great. No more paw licking and scratching.
