Those little steel studs will save you some real potential heartache. Studded snow tires for your boots...2 minutes on, or less..a few seconds off. Perfect for that expected/unexpected under the surface ice. Have the same Woolrich "Pennsylvania Tuxedo" plaid hunting coat. Bought in the 60's. Good choice! Nice vids! Fine job! I just finished watching your episode of how an old man dying of cancer changed your life. It was so inspiring and reminded me of all the elderly people I met while working in the nursing homes. So many interesting stories and the lesson I learned is we can become friends with anyone regardless of our own beliefs and mindset. By the way. My Dad was an old man who died of cancer. So glad he told me his stories 🙏💜

I absolutely love your videos. I grew up in the backwoods, hiking, swimming in creeks, building forts. The nostalgia for me in your videos is actually painful. I live in the city now, far in the south, with no seasons. I had to take a little break from your videos because they were definitely inducing dissatisfaction with my location. I wish I was able to raise my kiddos with all those same experiences, but I try and remember they’re making their own nostalgia.

Love the Woolrich hunting coat, also known as a Pennsylvania Tuxedo. My dad had a hunting cabin off Gap Road on South White Deer mountain west of Elimsport Pa. The town of Woolrich, where these coats were originally made, was only a short drive over the mountains of central Pennsylvania. The childhood excitement and the distinct scent on arriving at the cabin and crossing that threshold will be with me forever.
Man, this was a joy to watch. Been waiting to see you complete the inside for a couple years now. The amount of joy you all will have there will be great fun to watch.

I love the weather stick. I have ordered literally dozens and give them as gifts. We live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and my father loved his. He would call from his home in Silver Springs Florida just to report on what the stick was up to. I miss him (rest in peace daddy) and his calls. I have had mine 7 years. They come in sets of 2 of you order through the gift guide. My husband and I laughed with your excitement.

So this is my first time I have dropped by your site - I knew I really liked you when you were talking about the time you would be able to sit on the screened in porch and listen to the rain and snow falling. I am sure I am old enough to be your grandfather. I don't have any kid or grandkids - and you fit the bill for being a terrific grandson!
This takes me back to when my hubby and I built our first house. Very similar feel and years of work and moving building materials around the house, cutting cedar to line the walls etc. thank you for the beautiful reminder ❤

Nice to see the cabin almost finished. Really enjoyed seeing the snow pictures of the forest. Just a little bit of safety advice, when useing a tablesaw, use a wood extension handle to push your board the rest of the way through. That's just me thinking to myself. Keep your fingers away from the blade. Just something to think about. Enjoyed watching, have a great week. 😀

Idk but everytime when I'm at a state feeling so frustrated and worried about literally everything and.. your video pops up. Just right from the start the feeling is so great and the way you shoot edit and maily portrayed everything with complete originality makes me want to just leave everything, and do anything to live a life like you and Sally. From the place where I am, this is a dream. No doubt you do have your daily struggles and everything, but you do also have your time of peace and happiness. I'll admit that i do envy you a lot. Same dude. My wife and I started our cabin build in 2021 and we're there all the time. She's got her own little "cozy cabin corner" where she'll read while im playing with my guns or fishing gear. I'll make a campfire outside and look up at the stars as im finishing a old fashioned and just think how quiet and alone you really are out here when the sun goes down. Some mornings i'll play your videos on the TV while i make coffee. Luckily we're in the magic zone on top of a hill where we get 4 solid bars of 4G :)

Kyle I enjoyed your latest video, you guys in the Berkshire are still getting nailed with snow,here in the Boston area it’s like what is snow. lol The cabin is looking good, have you ever thought of clearing a area out of trees and putting in 1 or 2 solar banks and then running a line across the trees into your battery packs?

Such a beautiful, cozy, magical place you have created for yourselves that is so much more special because there is so much of yourselves, with a sprinkle of friendship here and there in the boards and objects within it. As a baby boomer who is having a hard time looking around observing the direction our country appears to be heading, I experience such peace, warmth, joy, and nostalgia, watching both of your channels, of the US I grew up in and loved.

Wow. Just beautiful. I'm so ah-mazed how you get the drone shots during a snowstorm (with no marks on the lens). It's all so smooth and beautiful and surely masks how much work it is to capture it. Those rushing, snowy rivers. Ahhh. Heaven. And that cozy cabin. I could almost smell the fire. You guys did a great job. (jazz music was too loud for me wit the friends cuz I wanted to hear your convo.) That pizza oven looked incredible too. And that porch bench! The copper boiler...we had one when a was a child..mom used it to do some canning on the woodstove...I was born in 1953, I don't know why our folks decided to rent that house..it had no electricity, no water, no bathroom, we used a hothouse..water from a well...I remember so clearly how it was but I loved every minute of it...if I had had a video like you have, you would see how trucks would come by to sell fish, all kinds but I remember the smoked one...I'm glad when we can find some...you would see men doing the drive on a river...I can't forget how those men would jump from one tree ( forget how it was was called) to the other but very dangerous as some fell throu and drowned...if I could give you my memories on film to add...😄

Unfortunately that dream has never materialized for me, although I'm still working on it. I find myself getting lost in the beauty of mother nature, something I haven't done in a very long time. Love the Woolrich hunting coat, also known as a Pennsylvania Tuxedo. My dad had a hunting cabin off Gap Road on South White Deer mountain west of Elimsport Pa. The town of Woolrich, where these coats were originally made, was only a short drive over the mountains of central Pennsylvania. The childhood excitement and the distinct scent on arriving at the cabin and crossing that threshold will be with me forever.
Man, this was a joy to watch. Been waiting to see you complete the inside for a couple years now. The amount of joy you all will have there will be great fun to watch.

I love the weather stick. I have ordered literally dozens and give them as gifts. We live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and my father loved his. He would call from his home in Silver Springs Florida just to report on what the stick was up to. I miss him (rest in peace daddy) and his calls. I have had mine 7 years. So this is my first time I have dropped by your site - I knew I really liked you when you were talking about the time you would be able to sit on the screened in porch and listen to the rain and snow falling. I am sure I am old enough to be your grandfather. I don't have any kid or grandkids - and you fit the bill for being a terrific grandson!
This takes me back to when my hubby and I built our first house. Very similar feel and years of work and moving building materials around the house, cutting cedar to line the walls etc. thank you for the beautiful reminder ❤

Nice to see the cabin almost finished. Really enjoyed seeing the snow pictures of the forest. Just a little bit of safety advice, when useing a tablesaw, use a wood extension handle to push your board the rest of the way through. That's just me thinking to myself. Keep your fingers away from the blade. Just something to think about. Enjoyed watching, have a great week. 😀

Idk but everytime when I'm at a state feeling so frustrated and worried about literally everything and.. your video pops up. Just right from the start the feeling is so great and the way you shoot edit and maily portrayed everything with complete originality makes me want to just leave everything, and do anything to live a life like you and Sally.
From the place where I am, this is a dream. No doubt you do have your daily struggles and everything, but you do also have your time of peace and happiness. I'll admit that i do envy you a lot.

Same dude. My wife and I started our cabin build in 2021 and we're there all the time. She's got her own little "cozy cabin corner" where she'll read while im playing with my guns or fishing gear. I'll make a campfire outside and look up at the stars as im finishing a old fashioned and just think how quiet and alone you really are out here when the sun goes down. Some mornings i'll play your videos on the TV while i make coffee. Luckily we're in the magic zone on top of a hill where we get 4 solid bars of 4G :)

Wow. Just beautiful. I'm so ah-mazed how you get the drone shots during a snowstorm (with no marks on the lens). It's all so smooth and beautiful and surely masks how much work it is to capture it. Those rushing, snowy rivers. Ahhh. Heaven. And that cozy cabin. I could almost smell the fire. You guys did a great job. (jazz music was too loud for me wit the friends cuz I wanted to hear your convo.) That pizza oven looked incredible too. And that porch bench! It's so long (which I love for early morning coffee) it's hard to mention all the good stuff. I'm new here so I'm excited about the stockpile of posts in my future.

The copper boiler...we had one when a was a child..mom used it to do some canning on the woodstove...I was born in 1953, I don't know why our folks decided to rent that house..it had no electricity, no water, no bathroom, we used a hothouse..water from a well...I remember so clearly how it was but I loved every minute of it...if I had had a video like you have, you would see how trucks would come by to sell fish, all kinds but I remember the smoked one...I'm glad when we can find some...you would see men doing the drive on a river...I can't forget how those men would jump from one tree ( forget how it was was called) to the other but very dangerous as some fell throu and drowned...if I could give you my memories on film to add...😄
