I wish I knew why I love these videos so much. I'm a 56 yr old woman who does not camp. A friend once gave me a button that says "My idea of camping out is when room service is late" lol. My husband loves camping. In any case, you two have such a great, warm vibe and a welcoming community... I never miss a video!

This is probably my favorite post you guys have done (at least since you got your property) We watched it in our DIY renovated '70s camper sitting next to our roaring cubic mini, with our two dogs that are the same ages as yours, on the Sonoma Coast of CA. We've been so inspired by your journey and this lovely bit of Zen theatre was just the perfect tonic for a crazy, busy, uncertain world. 🙏🤙✌️

Yes, I knew it right away that you froze your wheels with the brakes soon as I saw you hadn't cleared and cleaned the snow from them. Lesson learned I guess - clean all the snow away down to your brakes when you park in the woods day or night. Even then you may have to tap them a bit to get going. Lucky you are both smart enough to figure it out. Great video.

remembering Barron going down to collect water at the stream a couple of years or more ago, remembering how Kamp seems to become disobedient when snow is involved and used to love leaping up and down through it - and remembering the first time I ever watched one of Elsa's videos and she was cooking breakfast OUTSIDE in just such a freezing landscape - I was hooked!

I’ve watched you two for the last 5 years and it brought me back to the feelings I remember when I started watching. I am living in my 15’ trailer which is just as cozy as yours but it’s just me now. I'm a 62 year old single gal, and merrily blast around the planet as a flt attendant ~ but when I come home to my peaceful, 1910-built peaceful orchard house in BC, it's Heaven. My 1976 Boler is the smaller than your Scamp and I agree - it's blissful inside. I just bought another trailer (!!), a 1970s Road Runner that's CUTE, and all white inside, for guests visiting. If anyone is thinking of camping small (as I call it), DO IT! Like recreating Thoreau's Walden, it's truly LIVING!

I gotta tell ya. This was so much different than the 5 years living in the Scamp. This time, you guys were able to chill, enjoy the environment, play endlessly with the dogs. You weren’t working, fixing things, except for the frozen wheels.. that’s a new one for me, but you looked so relaxed. A vacation!! Yes. Do more. Your place is beautiful and you’ve come a long way.. but there’s nothing like going camping to get away and chill. Thanks for sharing. I do believe the pup has added longevity to camp. He’s looking and feeling great. And I told you once before, but I’ll say it again, your shepherd is one of the most beautiful that I’ve seen. You can tell she comes from excellent stock. Fun seeing you guys back in the Scamp. It may have been mentioned earlier, but I think the reason you fel tso relaxed this time, is that you don't have the worries you had when you were living in the Scamp. You didn't have to worry about having enough wood for the stove, charge in the batteries, positioning the solar panel, the weather, and so on. You're much more relaxed because you don't have those worries. Thanks for sharing with us!

Love this video. So warm and cozy with the dogs. So much love for the dogs. Makes me warm inside when people love their dogs as much as y’all do. That’s how I love mine. I have found a new channel to watch. I live the two of you. Just great harmony.
It is SO fun with dogs in weather. I live in Oregon (rain!). I taught my dogs to "shake, shake, shake," along with a hand signal (imagine your hand is signalling "so-so" like a hand tremble). They shake off the top layer of wet before they come inside! It works like a charm, they still do it at 14 years old and my house and travel trailer (Casita) has a little bit less humidity.
Love that Barren was like "I miss it" I missed all the Scamp stuff too... All the other stuff is just too big and overwhelming... I love it nice quiet and cozy... Nothing better than snuggling up at the woodstove when it is snowing :D

Oh, how much I've missed the Scamp!
Fun seeing you guys back in the Scamp. It may have been mentioned earlier, but I think the reason you fel tso relaxed this time, is that you don't have the worries you had when you were living in the Scamp. You didn't have to worry about having enough wood for the stove, charge in the batteries, positioning the solar panel, the weather, and so on. You're much more relaxed because you don't have those worries.

It is SO fun with dogs in weather. I live in Oregon (rain!). I taught my dogs to "shake, shake, shake," along with a hand signal (imagine your hand is signalling "so-so" like a hand tremble). They shake off the top layer of wet before they come inside! It works like a charm, they still do it at 14 years old and my house and travel trailer (Casita) has a little bit less humidity.
Kamp had me laughing many times throughout this video, he was extra funny and extra cute in this one 😅💕 Also, loved seeing you guys back in the Scamp!

Love that Barren was like "I miss it" I missed all the Scamp stuff too... All the other stuff is just too big and overwhelming... I love it nice quiet and cozy... Nothing better than snuggling up at the woodstove when it is snowing :D
