The cabins look great. Too bad others left garbage and they didn't even leave a little bit of firewood. You guys are always making things better everywhere you go. You guys are AWESOME! It is always nice to see you two living your best lives and taking the dogs along on the adventures. I enjoy your videos.

@@alaskanken2132 it is well worth the effort. Left Anchorage 2+ years ago and moved to my one room cabin in the woods of Willow. Peaceful and quiet, except for the weekenders who just love shooting their guns at midnight and into the early morning hours. I learn something new every day. Have had a few difficult times, yet I wouldn't change it for the world.

Enjoyed your post! I appreciate how well you take care of your senior canine family member! I’m sure he appreciates the extra care you give to him on these cold adventures. Being a retired senior myself, I can attest that the cold is more of a bother than it was 40 years ago when I worked on the North Slope. Nowadays I much prefer to enjoy the beautiful snowy vistas from the warm side of a cabin window with a mug of something warm in my hands. Thanks again for sharing your lives with us. Stay warm and be safe!

Good for you both for paying it forward by leaving firewood even though the person before you didn’t. It’s that generous nature and fastidiousness that keeps your channel locked in my top three.
I love how how you lift Bo in & out of the car carrier & up stairs at your lake cabin. Also like how you get your dogs bedded down & covered first thing so they don't get chilled. My dear friend who lives in Wasilla kept us posted about the wind storms there. Glad to hear you were not affected. She is in her 80s and when the power went out she said, well I have lots of blankets. I look forward to your videos every week.
It's hard to find good compatible people to spend and share a meaningful life together, I would say you are both very blessed to have each other. Peace and many more blessings.
I absolutely love your adventures! Y’all are beautiful amazing young people who have a beautiful lifestyle. Also I appreciate your kindness to pay it forward, even when others don’t. You are making a difference.
Fun show guys, thanks. A quick tip about jigging with a spoon, lift it 15-20" and let it flutter back down, then let it rest for a few seconds. Lakers, pike, pretty much any game fish will hit it on the pause. Once in a while, just jiggle it in place for a few seconds, and again, pause, they do love to hit it when it's just sitting there. All the best from Ontario, cheers.
I too love alaska Arielle... I think you and Eric are a true alaskan spirit even thou the time here has been short, you have accomplished more than myself as I came to work and did. I have stayed here permanently since spring of 84 and should of came back in 71 as I worked here that year prior and would of made all my dreams come true. I am so proud of the two of you, no smoking, drinking, lewd behavior or bad foul language... its the way it should be. Took me a long time to grow up and respect what I do or had as I wasted millions of dollars trying to find what I really wanted... two dogs that loved me and a cabin paid for I made myself. Thats all I really needed
Spent 11 years in the Canadian arctic and had two kids while we were up there. You are triggering such good memories. I will say that hardship and challenges bring a couple closer. When we moved south everything got easier except our relationship. When we weren’t working hard just to keep afloat somehow we drifted. I’m not wanting to cause fear. Just hoping that you two keep each other as the main focus. Loving the videos. Loving your commitment to each other.
I really love watching your videos! I wish I could get outdoors as often as you guys. I’ve turned everyone I know onto your channel as I believe it’s the best one out there. Even my 8 year old daughter will stop watching Roblocks (sp?) videos to watch you guys. My mom recently expressed interest into canning again so I gave her back all her canning stuff and referred her here. Love you guys, just wished you posted daily! I know that’s not possible but my favorite days are when you post. Love from Utah!
Since I changed my diet to Pescatarian, eating mostly wild caught Alaskan salmon and Cod (options given me per Butcher Box), I think of you guys often. I even bought up some jars and use them frequently ~ easier kitchen living. I’m praying for a great mate to be off-grid with… and sit by the wood stove and watch your videos for inspiration (after we do our own things, of course) God bless and stay warm and healthy🤗🕊✨
I love that the length of your videos are mostly less than an hour. I can fit a 20-30 minute one into my schedule easily. Then watch the ones closer to an hour later in the evening. Love the cooking tips. The salmon ones were awesome.
#1 Rule: Always replace whatever firewood you burn with MORE firewood. The ONLY times you should be considered free of this obligation is when you're alone and you personally cannot chop wood, such as physical injury, disability, or lack of cutting tools...but even then, if you're mobile you should still try to find deadwood branches & pile those up in a dry area nearby. Measly branches for kindling are still better than no fuel for the fire at all! Even if you don't think you'll ever come back, you should do it, because circumstances might force you back there, OR you literally might save someone else's life because THEY will have enough fuel to get & keep warm if things went bad for them instead!
Those shots of Denali are just spectacular! I can’t tell you how much your videos mean to me. There are others out there, but your kind hearts ring true and make me come back week after week. Thank you!
Good to see you having fun! The temperature reminds me after getting married, we went to Harbin China for the Snow and Ice festival, must to do on anyone's bucket list! Their kick off is ~ February 1st opening. Temps were between-20 to -40c' . We played on the Song river and didn't realize how cold it was, until going inside for a bailey and cream. Enjoy watching Alaska.
haha the small firework at the end was so adorable! So glad you guys had yet anothet successful ice fishing trip. And I gotta say that I really appreciate you taking your time to process more firewood and keep the cabin clean for whoever gets to use it next. Loving Bo as always. I can so relate him being reluctant to step out into chilly weather lol
I always love your vlogs: the cinematography, the sweet ways you treat your doggos, and your adventures away from your homestead. Loved the sparkler ending!
Did you just see that dancing-fairy-snow-princess?? 🤣. You guys are so fun to watch. Nice cabins and the scenery can’t be beat. Bo has the sweetest sad look on his face and I bet both he and Bandit appreciated the warm cabin. 👍🥰❤️
And we LOVE Y'ALL. Almost feel like my kids, I worry about y'all when you're out and about on the water. I know how dangerous it can be. Always, always be careful.
When I was stationed in Alaska, I got some pallets and made the top of pallet solid then placed pallets on inside of fishing tent. This kept tent warmer and the wet ground separate allowing me and é other people to fish for 72 hours from inside the tent on the lake. We just stacked our 6 pallets up and brought all the tent with gear anywhere. It was like having a small fishing cabin every time.
Thanks for sharing your adventures with us! My husband and I look forward to your videos each week! So appreciate your love for God's beautiful creation and the care for the "boys!" Bo and Bandit. Thanks for taking us along on another great trip. The bottom of Arielle's feet showed how dirty the cabin floor was! Glad you caught the two Burbot for supper. Looking forward to your next adventure!
The Denali mountain shot was beautiful! It should make next year’s calendar. I have this years as a Christmas present and love it. I wonder if the last person to use the cabin hit a really cold snap , used all the firewood, then in desperation burned the cupboard doors. You both did the right way, cleaning and leaving firewood for the next guests. The sparkler at the end was fun and surprising. I did not know you could do that! Like invisible ink!
Another fun fishing trip.... wish you didn't have to work so hard before you got started! Thanks for leaving the next group a clean and well stocked cabin full of wood!!! Can't wait to see your next fishing / cooking video!!! Love the ending 💖

Be safe, Blessings!!
My dear friend who lives in Wasilla kept us posted about the wind storms there. Glad to hear you were not affected. She is in her 80s and when the power went out she said, well I have lots of blankets. I look forward to your videos every week.
Blankets! It must have been so cold!
The fear in the eyes of Bo 😧 He was like : Are you crazy to go to the camp when it's that cold?!😨😂
Love the sparklers. You guys are Alaskans thru and thru. Your level of resiliance is off yhe charts. Thanks for sharing.
I absolutely love your videos ❤
People should be very appreciative that you were there before them😊
I too love alaska Arielle...
I love watching you guys living such healthy, active, and a very fun life.
That Bo! Such a sweet face looking up at you after the head scratches.
I love that your videos are longer than 16 minutes!
Since I changed my diet to Pescatarian, eating mostly wild caught Alaskan salmon and Cod (options given me per Butcher Box), I think of you guys often. I even bought up some jars and use them frequently ~ easier kitchen living.
I’m praying for a great mate to be off-grid with… and sit by the wood stove and watch your videos for inspiration (after we do our own things, of course)
God bless and stay warm and healthy🤗🕊✨
I love how you are so caring for your elderly family members which is what the dogs are.
You two have the best work ethics and respect. Hats off to you. Always look forward to your videos. May God bless y’all even more.
Both dogs have personalities I really like. Every time they show them I want to hug them.
Always leave a place better than when you found it... You guys are a treasure!
Love y'all playing cards and retelling family stories! Good times right there!
Awesome timing on upload, am home with my wife over lunchtime so we get to watch together.
haha the small firework at the end was so adorable! So glad you guys had yet anothet successful ice fishing trip. And I gotta say that I really appreciate you taking your time to process more firewood and keep the cabin clean for whoever gets to use it next.
Loving Bo as always. I can so relate him being reluctant to step out into chilly weather lol
These kind of videos are the best , I like seeing you guys tackle the out doors .
The ups and downs .
I always love your vlogs: the cinematography, the sweet ways you treat your doggos, and your adventures away from your homestead. Loved the sparkler ending!
Keep the videos coming. Just love going along with you on your adventures❤️
I have come to worry about them on their trips too! Must be the “mother” in us!!
Beautiful scenery! And your videos are always enjoyable! Thanks!
Thanks for sharing your adventures with us! My husband and I look forward to your videos each week! So appreciate your love for God's beautiful creation and the care for the "boys!" Bo and Bandit. Arielle does a marvelous job filming! Eric's many skills are impressive. The many obstacles are always taken instride!! Your can do spirit is so inspiring!! Keep on producing your videos! Well done! God bless!
Awesome vid. Reciprocal kindness is what matters when you're in public lands...we will never hear the full story about why the previous tennants left that place in that condition but you two did the right thing! Good on you! Keep it up! Looking forward to some more adventures.
I've watched this at least twice, and will watch it every time I come across it. Love you guys!!
Watching it again! The mountain shot is beautiful. It's in your calendar I'm sure.
Did it again.. made alot of us jealous how much fun you two enjoy. Those cabins look very comfortable. Your consideration for the next people is very heart warming. Take care.
Y'all are so cool! It s si nice seeing you guys having lots of fun, cause we all know how much you deserve it for being such hardworkers
Hi from Syracuse NY everyone and thank you for sharing your thoughts and adventures
I'm up in massena bout 3hrs north hello
I appreciate the joy you bring to my life through education and entertainment!
Man, a warm cabin by a beautiful frozen lake! Love to be there. Thanks for a great adventure!
There was plenty of dead wood right out the front door for the 1st folks that respected no one.

I have to give a shout out to Eric. He really is a hard worker and a great husband looks like. And I am loving your videos.
Another fun fishing trip.... wish you didn't have to work so hard before you got started! Thanks for leaving the next group a clean and well stocked cabin full of wood!!! Can't wait to see your next fishing / cooking video!!! Love the ending 💖
