After more than a decade searching throughout China, Sun Haiyang and his wife finally found their missing son Sun Zhuo. In 2007, he was lured away by a stranger while playing on the street. According to Chinese state media, the boy’s abductor has been arrested. The family were reunited 14 years later in Shenzhen after a DNA test confirmed the boy’s identity.

This is actually an ultimate sad story. The father in this story is a true hero in China. Throughout those 14 years, he has help countless families to reunite with their child. Yet, when he finally found his son, the son decided to stay with his adoptive family. The son doesn't have any memory of his biological parents. His whole life, all his memory are with his current family, and they treated him very well. The result of this story cause lot of uproar in China about the need to change the kidnapping and children trafficking's law. The current law is not harsh enough for the kidnapper or the seller (5-25 years), and way too lenient for the buyer (up to 5 years). Also the right of recourse is too short (only 5 years). It's heart breaking that this father found his son physically, but didn't get him back in reality. He can't even press charge or file a civil law suit against his son's adoptive parents (the buyer) because the recourse period expired. The only silver lining is the kidnapper was arrested and now in jail

If this is true. Then I can totally understand the feelings of the boy. Obviously he had been well cared for him to want to stay back with his adoptive parents. Though they did the wrong thing. The biological parents might be mostly relieved that the boy is alive and well and the boy can keep meeting his biological parents and stay with them during holidays etc. Many children are not lucky and are kidnapped for worst reasons leading in their death and abuse. Obviously no one can give back those years of torment and guilt to the biological parents but the boy is alive well and cared for and eventually he will understand that his place is with his biological family. But this is such a sad story it should never have happened. The boy should never have been forcefully snatched from his parents. This is a big crime on the part of the adoptive parents.

The amount of kidnappings doesn’t happen in other countries. People don’t systematically steal children and sell them to other people. If that happens, it’s going to be dealt with by the police the governments Interpol Europol etc and widely reported in the media.
In my country if a child goes missing or any person goes missing there are warming systems and work in place and most are found well (like seniors with Alzheimer’s or accidents or illness)
A missing child is acted upon immediately and there are no child kidnappings, it’s unheard of.

I am sure everyone was saying he was dead but this father never allowed himself to believe that. Seeing his son and holding him again must be the greatest joy a human could possibly feel.

The same thing nearly happened to my sister in India. In 1979, a stranger tried to offer to take my 4 year-old sister on his motorbike to buy some sweets. Then, just as she was about to open the gate in the veranda of my grandparents' home, my auntie rushed out to confront him. He then quickly changed his story by saying it was my sister who was insisting on taking her out.
It then was discovered that he was suspiciously roaming the streets for days. Afterwards, nobody saw him.

@@jetli740 Yeah China came a long way back then people used to send their children in the street to be run over to make money, problem's people did run them over but didn't stop so they wouldn't be liable.

From the boy's pov that could be tough though. Mom of 14yrs arrested and being hugged by a man that was a stranger to him. I hope they find the best solution for all parties and truly reconcile, not just physically but emotionally too.

I hope the biological parents will be ok! No mercy for the abductive parents who bought a boy just for a family inherit!! As for the boy...I know he's confused but he chose the criminals just for money....

Instantly started bawling, the pain... the agony and joy in those cries, pierce the body and into the soul.
The greatest curse ever told "i hope you outlive your children".

Sad situation with Guo Gang Tang case, used years to search for their child but son went back to live with the adoptive parents. Hopefully kids will grow up to realize the pain their biological parents suffered and come back to live with them when they are older and have a family of their own.

His ”loving” adoptive parents should be arrested for litterally buying someone else’s child!

My heart goes out to this family, 14 years without seeing your baby go through birthdays and school and all those accomplishments. I hope they catch up and so glad a DNA test brought them together. Hopefully this method will bring more families together. 💕

I feel so bad for both parties. On one hand, they spent so many years looking for their child. And on the other, the child probably no longer remembers who they are. Not would it be awkward for the child since they were raised by adoptive parents for so long, their biological parents also missed out on a big part of their life. It’s heartbreaking.

Hearing this father's sobs broke my heart. But I'm SO happy for the family, that they are together again. Whoever stole their boy may think it's ok because they took care of him, but it's NOT, they destroyed his parents' happiness for FOURTEEN YEARS, and I'm sure the boy suffered too, being taken from his parents that way. Too much damage to justify in any way, & the kidnappers should PAY! Literally, give the father the same amount of money he spent trying to find his son, plus some.

That is 14 years of pent up heartbreak right there from the Father. He clearly loves his son so much 😢
