This hit close to home for me. I was paralyzed as young as her, too. I woke up one day in excruciating pain in my legs and realized my legs weren't moving. After being confined to wheelchair for months, I learned how to walk all over again. It was like I was learning how to walk for the first time. Bless her, what a strong little girl.

The girl deserves all the praise but the parents are also as amazing as the girl. When her mother said that when Anqi will encounter difficulties in her life in the future, these moments will encourage and inspire her to never give up and indicate how far has she come, and that's really some inspiring stuff right there. Surely it could do wonders to anybody who's down in their life.

To "never give up" is the false phrasing. Trying and doing your best , yeah, everyone should do this.
But sometimes giving up, the same as asking for help, isn't wrong.
"You will make it through every hardships", when facing hard times, sounds way better to me.

This is exactly why physical therapy needs to be advocated more in the US especially when it comes to spinal cord injuries. A lot of times people in this country will always resort to medications or invasive surgeries with high risk, not to say that it’s not necessary in certain situations, but in most cases physical rehabilitation is what people need to get better in the long run. Go to a PHYSICAL THERAPIST if you have a severe physical or neurological impairment that does not require surgery! It will be a game changer!!!

I love this. ❤️❤️ they’ve defied the odds. I’ve been told by several doctors in the U.S. that I cannot be helped. One surgeon outside the county believes she can help however. Will be traveling within the next year for surgery. I hope I can defy the odds as well. ❤️ this story gives me hope

This story should be used to promote what rehab is since they REALLY lack rehab specialists in China.

She's a perfect example of a determined little girl with supportive parents no matter what, same for me. I was born deaf and the doctor confirmed my deafness at three half years old and immediately put me with hearing aids. Had speech therapy and with my parents support and encouragement I speak/hear with hearing aids in Japanese and English and able to lead normal life just like everyone. My parents told me they were fortunate that I was very obedient and determined in the first place. Many Deaf children throw tantrums and even throw away hearing aids, refused to learn to speak/hear. Many Deaf families asked for advice I have no right answer for them. This year, I'm 42 I just had cochlear implants in both ears and I have to start all over again but I am forever grateful.

Even keep an eye on children 24/7 bad things can happen. I surprised after hearing she paralyzed dancing at home. Parents are true heroes here not to give up on her. 👏

This is the news the world needs to hear about. The inner strength that little girl has is incredible. Got goose bumps and a warm feeling all over. Her parents are some amazing people as well. Loved every second of this video. So happy everything is working out for that amazing girl and her parents.

Fun fact about this phenomenon. This is contributed to a physiological act of homeostasis. When she succumbed to her spinal injury, certain cells developed during her recovery to help her live and survive the injury. The excruciating therapy she was experiencing was also homeostasis, where those cells that developed are also dying off due to her paralyzed body being reconditioned to move more often, that's why she was in constant pain. But after some time, homeostasis does its job and after all that therapy her body had redeveloped brand new cells that will help her survive all those movements for the long term
TLDR: Her therapy is the equivalent of working out to get stronger and adapt to the spinal injury
